Non-stop shoot makes Neha sick

Neha Mehta, who plays the cherubic Mamta on Zee's popular daily by the same name recently collapsed while shooting an important sequence in the show. Neha joins the likes of Roshni Chopra and Ashlesha Sawant who have also passed out on the sets of their shows, unable to bear the day-to-day grind.

Director Apurva Acharya confirmed the incident. "We have been shooting continuously since the last two weeks. We have shot the marriage sequence, the honeymoon, suhaag raat and other post marriage scenes," adds the director. "Neha is a delicate darling and probably couldn't take the overwork. She collapsed while shooting for one of the post marriage scenes today."

The director then took her to a nearby hospital for some basic treatment after which she left for her parent's place. There, she will be placed under the supervision of her family doctor.
"Today we have given her a day off. But I can't afford to give her one tomorrow'', adds Apurva.

But will it not affect Neha's health more? "I know it sounds unfair. But this is how it is in daily soaps where you have to churn out 22/23 episodes in one month. I really hope she can report for work tomorrow. I don't want my telecast to stop," adds the worried director.
Neha Mehta was obviously resting and was not available for comment. But it's also obvious that come what may, whatever the circumstances are, one has to continue working for a daily soap.
