Mamta down with typhoid
This seems to be the season for maladies in the television industry. A spate of sicknesses has been haunting our telly stars, and now Neha Mehta has fallen prey to this latest trend too. She has been bedridden for the past one week, with typhoid.
It all started when she was felt giddy and started throwing up on the sets of Mamta. Neha, who plays the main protagonist in the show had to be rushed to the nearest clinic by unit members. "It has been almost eight days and I haven't yet recovered. Since Mamta has just taken off, I do not want to cause any disruption to its shooting," says Neha. The actress is so weak that she is unable to shoot. "Now my doctors are saying said that I've got typhoid," she adds. Apart from her health Neha is also worried about the continuity of her show. "We do have enough bank episodes but I know that I'll be required on the sets soon," she says.
Understandably the young actress is worried about her career. Is there any pressure from the producer and director of Mamta for her to return to work? "No, they are sensitive and understanding about this," she replies.
