Is it just me or did the TRP's...

drop after the foreshadow of 2 marriages was shown? Because before that, the TRP's were pretty good...1.45 and so..but after the engagement and the foreshadow, the TRP's dipped alarmingly. I mean, 1.08 is not a very good rating. It's very close to going below 1 and that's always a dangerous sign.

I guess even the non-internet viewers watched the show for its light-hearted rom-com view. And kinda lost interest when it started showing signs of going the typical Indian show way. Can't blame them for even I lost interest for a brief period of time and the show is still on probation with me, so I can't really point finger at them.

Basically, I watch this show for it's simple fun factor. The love story is cute and very real life. The leads have a great chemistry, the other characters are not OTT vampish or evil. There are many ways the writers can bring forth some angst in ArMi's life without introducing 2 marriages/engagements. This does not happen in real life..unless you are a con or a bigamist. Even Vishal-Saraswati's track can be used to create some problems in ArMi's relationship. Vishal has started feeling inferior to Arjun..so he can start working for Sr Agnihotri just for money so that Saraswati won't feel like her life is lacking anything. There are many ways to go with this and I feel the Purva track is just not necessary. It actually is a put off. 🤢

Maybe other viewers feel the same way? I dunno about them but I do know that its not too late for the writers to chuck the stupid foreshadow wala track and remain true to its theme. The rest is ofcourse in their hands.

I feel the drop in viewership can be related to the lack of drama.. honestly the two marriage track may have influenced a certain group of spectators.. but I find it difficult to digest that it would be the only reason behind such a drop in trp's.. the writers need to comprehend that Vishal, Saraswati and Arjun's fathers refusal must be given more fuel... this track needs to be developed correctly with a strong storyline in place.. they seem confused as to how to take things forward.. hence the repeated childish antics we are being forced to tolerate.. I understand Laxmi is a sweet and innocent girl.. but what about adding layers to her character.. to their relationship it just seems a bit childish to me..!

I guess the drop of TRP is due to the slow pace of the show..
Purva is already out of picture...so I dont think she caused any effect on the TRPs...
they have to bring some strong track ...rather than showing Laxmi childish..

Hahaha, no I meant that Purva is out for now but she will be back and 2 engagement/marriages ka track will start. People know this and hence lost interest...and I kinda pity the team of MLTAK..when they are fast, we complain about the fast pace. When they slow down, we complain about that too. Bechare 😆

Me either and that keeps me hooked..the unknown. Maybe I will like the upcoming track or maybe I won't, I can decide what I want to do then but for now am chilled out.

And about Lakshmi being childish, they have to show her journey, how she becomes matured and responsible. I think she already is responsible, she lost the ring due to romancing Arjun 🤣 and not coz she was irresponsible. Though, I admit, she should have noticed the missing ring sooner than the next day. We learn from our mistakes and I think the writers want to show the same thing.

Instead of this extremely annoying second marriage track and arjun wooing and rescuing lakshmi...I wud rather have had arjun leaving his house and along wid lakshmi...struggling hard and eventually becoming a success...and in the process...convincing RV...and after having grossed wealth on his own...only then he shud have fulfilled lakshmi's dream...

I noticed the drop in TRPs, and maybe it can be attributed to the two marriages, but I also think that the general population likes at least some drama. I enjoy the show because of its lightheartedness, but I definitely do think that there needs to be some sort of conflict or something. The Arjun's dad thing doesn't seem to be strong enough because nothing really seems to be happening anywhere.

Like Naz said, I think just showing the happy scenes of Arjun-Lakshmi, and then the relatively childish scenes of Lakshmi aren't clicking with the viewers.

^Definitely not bashing the show or the characters. 😳

Cheers!

It is childish and the show does need drama but not the two marriage kind, is my point. They can use this Vishal-Saraswati track to create that drama and angst between ArMi's relationship too. I truly believe that Lakshmi needs some kind of a huge shock (like her rishta being in trouble) to grow up. And I believe that some fault lies with Arjun too for shielding her from every problem coming their way. He encourages her childish behavior instead of letting her grow and mature from experiencing and solving the said problems.

I agree that it was pretty damn good track that they wasted. I was absolutely stumped to see Arjun back at AM the same day itself. I believed that the journey of helping Arjun stand on his feet would have done wonders for Lakshmi's childish behavior.
