Exactly, she hasn't had that kind of physical intimacy with Arya yet and I won't be surprised if she's never had a man in her life because of how shy she appears to be around him. She was just 20 when she adopted Kian and spent her whole time struggling to raise him. Even when she was getting married to Sadhu, she seemed very awkward around him. We knew he was a villain but she didn't, and I guess that showed her inexperience with men in general.
If you notice, she doesn't usually initiate that kind of physical contact with Arya, except to hug him but that was when she was under emotional duress after they rescued Kian. I think if the bio mom had been someone else, then she might have felt less awkward, but to think it was her own sister has created some kind of mental block. If the roles were reversed, maybe Arya would have felt awkward if Janvi had had a bio son with his brother.
Arya knows she's got a lot on her mind that she hasn't told him about but maybe doesn't know the depth of her insecurities. I agree with you, that despite all she believes in general about the strength of a mother-son bond minus DNA (we heard her say that when Ujwala adopted the baby), she is bothered that doesn't share that biological child with him. Not only that, she wasn't part of the 'experience' that led to the conception of this child, and the fact that it happened when Arya wasn't sober probably also bothers her. Arya has always been physical with her, grabbing her by the arm, hand, etc. way before all this because he had been attracted to her from day 1 and maybe because he's more of a touchy feel person that she is (see his interactions with his family members too). The show doesn't openly address this but now that I go and watch older episodes, I see how the CVs have cleverly weaved this in every episode, every scene with them, so the attraction was there and very strong, as well as his sense of protectiveness of her. He has always been hyper aware of her and even more so recently. I am sure in Australia he must have dated some women, and it's not clear to what extent he formed those relationships. Of course, typical ITV where the ML can have whatever past but the FL has to be without a 'stain'. Ugh. Arya himself never cared about her past and assumed she'd been with a man, hence Kian's existence. Now that he knows otherwise, he might have to figure out that she's inexperienced in this and that he can't just expect them to get on with their lives without Janvi feeling more at ease around him.
There's another aspect to this too that we've been discussing here: Janvi hasn't fully accepted Arya or this marriage in the sense that she still thinks it some kind of dream and not her current reality. She doesn't feel like his equal and when Taiji was trying to kick her out, she didn't put her foot down to assert her rights like we've seen her do in other matters elsewhere. She feels undeserving of Arya's love and the title of his wife, especially since she saw the Bundelas' attitudes early on that had made her reject Arya's proposal a few times. She easily accepted Brij wanting her to leave Arya or even when Arya came to tell her they would be coming over to ask for her hand she was meek and only said hmm... Yes, it was partly her shyness but more her skepticism about them having a future together at all. It was only him being a tour de force and impulsively getting married that got them to this point, otherwise it would still be him trying to woo her or wait for her. He 'read' her feelings but she's never actually told him that she loves him or openly shown the same depth of emotion that he does. We only saw that when she tried to save him after he was electrocuted. The most we got was her saying on the wedding night 'don't you know that I'd never let any harm come to you?' Maybe she will start to feel possessive and that's when she will express her feelings to him but for now, she hasn't even told him she loves him.
Janvi was always worried about her in-laws not accepting Kian and her, and now that Kian's apparently their heir, she knows they won't accept her fully, especially with Anuskha in the picture as the bio mom. Taiji and Raina even said so and she knows how Brij feels about this topic. She never cared about being the adoptive mother all these years because it never disrupted her life before but now the taunts of family members will bother her because she lives with them and can't avoid them. Pushkar has always been horrible to her because of Kian, but she was still living in a separate apartment and running her own household, so she had her own space and could cut him off as needed. In the Bundela mansion she doesn't have this option and her life has been full of turmoil since the rainy wedding. I think she has a strong sixth sense and has just been feeling off. In the scene in the hotel during the Maushumi track, where she hit Arya with her bag she articulated her reasons as to why they couldn't be together, and while he said he didn't care about all that, the fact is that she's living with the extended family, not just him. So what they do will affect Kian and her - it's not black and white as Arya sees it and he can't always be around to shield her. I think we're also seeing that Arya is unable to spot this and address it. He thinks that locking them in will solve the problem but they can't just have their own cocoon when living with the family. We all wish the three of them would go back to Janvi's place but that's not happening any time soon.
I know she's adamant about not giving Kian up but I think deep down she's actually afraid that she may be compelled to if Anushka somehow proves she deserves this chance. This is in part driving her need to investigate Anushka's past ASAP so that she can find enough evidence of her sister's lies to console herself that she's not being unfair by keeping Kian away from his mom. Janvi's a good woman with a strong sense of justice so it's bothering her to even feel this way about Anushka. It would have been far easier for her to cut Kian's bio mom off if it hadn't been her own sister. From her point of view, she's married into a family who doesn't particularly like her (minus Dadaji), her son's bio mom showed up all of a sudden and is trying to emotionally blackmail her while appear to be a patient, her husband is the bio dad of the son she raised, her beloved Kian was conceived during a ONS where her now husband wasn't even aware of his surroundings, and she knows that the villains in that family will side with Anushka just for the bio connection.
Arya did ask her on the wedding night if finding out the truth made him fall in her eyes, and while she didn't answer that, I think she was trying to reconcile her image of him being this perfect man, her (and Kian's) hero, with now seeing his 'flaws'. I don't know if she has anything against drinking or alcoholism, but maybe she's of the school that believes that you shouldn't get drunk to the point where you're no longer aware of your surroundings and can make mistakes like this. She also knows that her sister actually took advantage of his state and didn't stop him. Of course, all this is a lie that the audience knows about but as far as Janvi is concerned, they both did the deed and Kian was left abandoned for years by both his bio parents. She shielded him from the taunts of society even though it meant her being maligned for something she hadn't done. She's been swept off her feet by Arya, things have been a bit too fast-paced, her little world with Kian has been disrupted ever since Arya entered the scene and she can't catch a breather from all the drama. She feels out of her depth and unsettled. I love Janvi for how strong she is and I'm hurting for her.
I strongly feel she's avoiding Arya deliberately and avoiding getting too close to him, so her playing detective is definitely a way for her to focus on something else. There's shyness but also a lot of hurt and confusion as to where she really stands in his life. She feels vulnerable because she thinks she has no tangible connection to him that works in her favor. Arya made it simple by saying they were now husband and wife and that that's all that mattered but she hasn't been able to embrace this yet. Otherwise, after marrying the man of her 'dreams' you'd think she'd want to spend more time with him, but no! Also what her sister told her about Arya accidentally hugging her and seeing them in the room later is really troubling her.
It may not be a big deal for Arya to pick Anushka up, rub her arms, touch her knee, etc. maybe because he has lived overseas where these things are common but for Janvi, who is a bit more conservative, it is a big deal. Remember how embarrassed she was at the thought of dancing so closely with him in front of people? This is the same Janvi. Her facial expression was less of jealousy and more of hurt, that her husband was so ok with touching another woman, that too her sister. I think her sixth sense is telling her that Anushka's not just here for Kian. She knows that Anushka liked Arya when she first saw him in the hotel 5 years ago, so that's playing on her mind. Women are usually right with these instincts. Maybe she doesn't want to tell Arya all this and appear petty, although I think she should before things really get out of hand.
You've summarised very aptly.
Since they've now decided to show that Arya is dense, for him to not come into frequent contact with Anushka...the best way right now seems that he should be more around Kian or he better not work from home. He better go to his workplace.
Some BTS from older, nicer episodes. Wish they'd retained more of these scenes. I didn't realize Ulka had to lift Karan without any additional assistance - he's a big guy. She's really strong!
Small sample of their mindblowing chemistry! The leads really nailed this scene and Ulka looks especially gorgeous here. I would love to see the BTS as to how they worked with blowers and the papers.
Why aren't CVs maximizing it? Too much negativity in the show will kill the vibe. Villains are outnumbering the good guys at this point.
Finally got some time and I have watched today episode. The best part of this whole episode was kiaan and brij talkkiaan ne sahi kha brij doesn't look like dada ji
rest episode was a bit meh
why no Arya janvi scene in whole 20 min episode and so much screen for Anushka didi
aaj ke episode se lg rha hai janvi is adopted cause voh 3eno bhai- bhen Mei se itni different
genes hi nai janvi Mei joh pushkar and Anushka Mei hai
Man that precap is so itv coded like almost har serial jisme triangle story hai usmei yeh scene hota hi hota hai kuch creative bacha hi nai hai inke pas
So-so epi. The only good thing was that janvi met Dr Parekh and she said she does not know any Anushka Joshi. But then Janvi shows her Anushka's pic and the epi ends there. I am sure in the next epi Dr Parekh will say she knows the girl and she was there with a different name. And that 's why they did not contact family members as they had no way of knowing. Poor Janvi. Abhi to bahut time hai Anushka ka truth samne aane me.

Wow.. that's a lot of hard work. Hats off to Ulka's strength.

Exactly. They have wonderful chemistry but the CVs are hell bent on making the negativity rate higher.
There wasn't even a single scene between them for the past three episodes. Yesterday no Arya at all.
Acha hua hotel Chala Gaya...Ghar me uski izzat par vaar karne tayyar baiti hai bhootni.
