Oh, my dear Arshi, trust you to make such a snappy comeback! Delightful. 🤗I would never have been able to whip up something so neat a moment's notice!
Now, for one thing, if you are honest, you cannot say I have never praised your Rahil, though it is true that I have clobbered him a lot, which too is because I think, unlike Veritaserum and Arsal, that he can do a lot if only he is allowed to do so. But as for the first part, here, Your Honour, is the evidence refuting this accusation, from my own posts!
His looks: It seems that despite all that gorgeous wavy hair, the handsome, hard face with cold, dark blue eyes (was Mr.Blue Eyes, who poisoned Maya, Dansh himself? I begin to think so), and the tall, sleek figure with the panther like walk, Dansh does not enjoy a good press here in the forum.
What more can anyone expect from a 65 year old!😉 But I have always liked tall men, 6 feet at least!😉
His acting/character:
Shades of grey?: But this last week, for the first time, I saw Dansh betray some emotion. There was a kind of hesitant anticipation in his eyes never seen before, anticipation and a dawning joy. That was when Leela announced that she would never tolerate injustice and so main bhi naagon ke saath hoon. He looked, for that instant, vulnerable, and hopeful that she was coming around as far as he personally was concerned.
Whence the unexpectedly gentle touch to her face and the tentative question: Yaani, mere saath ho? In that one instant, Dansh betrayed his innermost desire, the desire for Leela to care for him and support him. A desire that he has rigidly suppressed thus far, fearing that it would be seen as a sign of weakness, and that he cannot permit.
When she turns him down, and as he looks at her retreating form, Dansh's face darkens, but the earlier moment cannot be wished away. For all his alpha male arrogance and his obsession with dominating all around him, Naag Pramukh Dansh has an Achilles heel, and its name is Leela. This will surely have major relevance somewhere down the line.
I seem to have been wrong with the last line, which is not uncommon for me! But Rahil was really good in that bit of a scene, the way his eyes lit up in anticipation and the voice became, for once, hesitant and gentle.
I was the only one to have commented on that scene, by the way! And it strengthened my conviction that he can do very well if allowed to, for he has the talent of subtlety, which cannot be acquired, and then of course, he has presence, which is either there or is not there.
As for Gautam, I have adored him since Saraswatichandra, but I am no one's fan, and then again, I believe that one should always keep a mark or two in hand for a really superlative turn. If one goes right to the top for good, as distinct from great performances, how then can one make that vital distinction?
Thus, I pointed out in this last post that Rudra was
meant to be passive and enquiring in that last scene, and MB was
meant to dominate it, and so his take was as perfect in its way as hers. This said, I like him best in gentle, affectionate scenes, with that little boy lost look of his. Nowadays, as I had noted there, he looks absurdly young. And I am glad they have now let him do cold anger, not the snarling kind of the early episodes that did not suit him at all.
With that, Your Honour, I rest my case!😉😉

While it's true that now Rudra has reached a stability and Gautam is thus static in his performance, but I think he's got into the skin of this version of Rudra.
One day, before the show ends, I hope to see you say something nice about Rahil
But since you didn't like the epi, and we have to make you happy here's a limerick for you
There was an actor i once knew
who played a naga with eyes blue
Now I wait for a day
When Shyamala will say
Gauti ain't bad, and Rahil's good too

Well, my dear Arshi, I am glad someone liked it, if only for Utkarsh's sake. It gave me a bad headache. And you seem to give Rudra 10/10 as a routine, just for existing!😉 Don't spoil the boy, Arshi!! Yes, he looked marvellous while meditating, but that is only posture. As for the rest, to my mind his act was pure routine, and hardly comparable with Episode 72.
The only thing that deserves a 10/10 is your title for today.
Your blue-eyed (literally) boy is tolerable only in small doses. Today they cut him loose, and what with him posturing and preening for way too long like a psychotic killer, and Shivanand trying hard to win the Mr.Ugly contest, I was soon reaching for the Amrutanjan.
The only tolerable bit was the precap, with Drish doing a Greyerson and Leela betraying your blue-eyed boy. If at least I have to see no more of Shivanand in that chair with the laser, today's slow torture (of me) would have been worth it.
