Great post and analysis Shyamala Aunty as always😊
An apt word "metamorphosis" for Rudra, from being a defeated person to the funeral whereby he calmly states that he is now free of his family duties. He has grown a lot, and now has no weak point unless we consider Maya, who is still in a comatose position, and Charles whom he has come to value as a friend.
it's sad but true, in this war between the right and wrong, though the garudas wont play by cheating, but the nagas have no such duty, they will erase anyone who comes to block their way, going to any limits of murdering countless people.
I'm now waiting for the track whereby they have to look for Shivanand now😊
but for me the best point when i saw Maimui was back, i really liked that actress, she's very good and was missing her when her character was killed😊

Thank you, my dear Swetha, and as usual, I loved your selection of these photos.

Bhairavi seems to me to be the most powerful of the lot after Rudra, though she is not cerebral like Shivanand. As for her other powers, you have to be patient.

As for the nagas, as I have noted earlier, they do not seem to have distinct identities and characters like the garudas do. They seem like robot henchmen, and except for Mr. Blue Eyes, who poisoned Maya, none of the 6 (bar Dansh, of course) has even been shown to us.

Regarding their powers, I am sure that apart from the kickboxing and other martial arts skills they were all shown practicing when we saw them for the first time, their special powers will be revealed by and by. It is all proceeding at a leisurely pace, and I cannot see how the whole story can be wrapped up in just 56 more episodes.

And there are rumours that it will be shelved? I cannot believe that at all. Life OK hung in there with the abysmal Laut Aao Trisha which had TRPs of 0.4, so why not with Mahakumbh, which is surely doing much better?

^ Awesome analysis of last week's episodes by u, Shyamala di! 👏

Bhairavi seems to be having lots of powers 😲
1. She can change her form at will.. First Mai mui, Dadi and then Ganga ( Rudra's mom)
2. She meditates and sees to that Maya lives ; Vish in her body doesn't spread..
What other extra powers does she ie Bhairavi have? 🤔
Naag head was worried 😆 coz he knows that Bhairavi has found Rudra.. 😎 and Rudra's powers will become EQUAL to Dansh's powers.. 👏⭐️

Naag Symbol

Naag's are always shown with guns.. 😲 Why don't we see their usage of their powers? 😕
So far.. only Dansh has used his powers.. to prevent his men from interrupting a moment b/w him and Leena! 😳

Of course, Arijit, and in this case, the change was drastic, with Rudra being turned inside out.

it was nessesory to change, otherwise, rudra would have been dead and defeated. change is always constant, samay aur paristhiti ke anusaar parivartan anivaarya hain. bhairavi is doing a good job.

Thank you so much, my dear, for liking this one despite its inordinate length, and for surviving till the end of that Kundalini note of mine. 😉

I was in two minds whether to include it, for I had compiled and posted it on my last thread, borrowing Santhi's very neat and necessary diagram with attribution. Then I felt that as not many might have seen that one, it would be better to paste it at the bottom as an optional annexure.

As for the quotation from Swami Vivekananda, he is perhaps my greatest hero, and one of my proudest moments was when I spoke at the Toronto Vedanta Society, when I was the Indian High Commissioner (Ambassador) to Canada 8 years ago, about"Swami Vivekananda's Contribution to India and the World" , and they thought it good enough to carry it in their journal.

Yes, as I have always said, even when Rudra was raging like a maniac in his early scenes, Gautam has to do what the director tells him to do. One should judge an actor by his best work, for that shows what he can do given the chance. The Maya prem deewaana track was awful, and I am so glad that we have got out of it for good.

I do not at all share your scepticism about MB. She IS a garud, and she is going to be Rudra's strongest support system bar none. She is in fact going back to their old Manikarnika Ghat days in this respect. I noted that last night, she called him bachuwa for the first time, thus sealing the Maimuyi connection for him. As for Maya's breathing being an optical illusion, I do not agree with that either, and even if it was, I do not care!😉 What I want, as she is apparently going to be there til the end, is for her to stay in bed, preferably in a coma!😉

The thing to remember is that they have no room now for any more complications like Katharine having her own agenda or MB being a shadowy character. This is not a Le Carre novel, full of smoke and mirrors. They have used up 65 episodes to get the garudas to even accept that they are a team. They have only 55 episodes more, and that does not look like being anything like enough even without any detours.

There is already, I hear, some gossip about the show being axed. I do not believe that at all, for Life OK has hung on to far worse rated shows like Laut Aao Trisha, so why not with the limited duration Mahakumbh? But the writers must now concentrate on a neat story line, not confuse such viewers as they have, and deliver on the Mahasangram part credibly.

thanks Shyamalaji for this Metamorphosis post. Really covered the week very well.

seemaji is fabulous actress but i loved Gautam the way he acted in these episodes. i guess he is a director's actor. He is doing what script is demanding and director wants him to do.
Santhi
Thanks for the Kundalini post. It takes long Tapaschrya for the Kundalini awakening. What they showed in the show looked more like Chakra balancing and Aura cleansing. Loved the Swami Vivekanand quote
That leaves me thinking, Bhairavi a mysterious character currently helping Garuds. I am thinking She created an OPTICAL ILLUSION to show Maya is breathing.
Hope MK completes 120 episodes and doesnt go off air as some of the rumors are saying😛

Thank you so much, my dear Santhi.

I loved Gautam's Rudra last week, after the initial dash thru the wood, and that comes thru in the post. Did you note the comparison with the abhishekam at the Pashupatinath temple? I was really struck by it.

I feel that the pace is too slow, they are including faltu scenes like the one I have mentioned, and now they have only 55 episodes to go after the garudas have even acknowledged that they are a team. I hope that the pressure to rush the story along, plus the stupid rumours about the show being axed suddenly (when Life OK hung in there with the abysmally rated Laut Aao Trisha?) does not lead to a messy, helter-skelter finale.

Right now, as I have noted, an extension seems unavoidable if the script is to be neat and comprehensive. Let us see.

Shyamala ji,Superb post.

I can only agree.
Especially when Maimui raises his black clothes up the shot captures just his face and then only his eyes. It was just like in Saraswatichandra(I noted that earlier too). Except for the kohl in the eyes.
During the dahan sanskaar scene too, it felt like I was watching Saras who had that silent giref in his eyes most of the time. REstrained, grim and controlled.
I thought I saw pain, concern and vulnerability and in Rudra's eyes when he saw Maya. There was a definite change of expression. But it was controlled unlike earlier. He is not devoid of emotions. but learning to keep them in check.

Shyamala di,
One more Q / Doubt i have...
How did Bhairavi get to know abt all of them ( ie Charles, Tiwari, Kathryn, T. Mai) being Garud's and know their exact Garud symbols on their body? 😲

Does Bhairavi have some other extra powers that she can see thro' ppl and find out the symbols in their body? 🤔😆

She knows abt Rudra being a Garud coz of his symbol in his back.. ( its open for all to see 😔😆 )
She knows abt Shiva being a Garud coz of his symbol in his head.. ( its open for all to see ever since Shiva did mundan of his hair 😔😆 )

Out of all Gaurud's.. Rudra, Bhairavi, Shiva have the max. onus of this Mahakumbh Amrit protection.. ⭐️

My dear Adiana,

This is a very interesting point, as is the divine grace option for the Kundalini awakening.Though I would assume that in our system, everything has to be earned by penance and meditation and that there are no shortcuts like this.

Well, if it can be by divine grace, I suppose it can also be courtesy the guru, in this case MB. In any case, Rudra has no time, so it has to be like Maggi instant noodles, bas 2 minut!😉

I am not worried so much about the characterisation as such, but more about the story (a reversal of roles for the two of us, methinks!😉)

The thing to remember is that they have no room now for any more complications that people are thinking up, like Katharine having her own agenda or MB being a shadowy character. This is not a Le Carre novel, full of smoke and mirrors. They have used up 65 episodes to get the garudas to even accept that they are a team. They have only 55 episodes more, and that does not look like being anything like enough even without any detours.

But the writers must now concentrate on a neat story line, not confuse such viewers as they have, and deliver on the Mahasangram part, with excellent action, credibly. It is ok to make Dansh a poison druggie and thus more complicated, but too many side issues will only lead to trouble down the road.

Shyamala, in the mythology of the Hindus, Siva may be Dakshinamurti or the Parama Guru, but when it comes to awakening the Kundalini or the Psychic energy even Mythology states that it is Bhairavi who does it - this was so even for the legendary King Vikramaditya for who Devi herself was his protector it is said. It is also said that for this Shaktipat way of the Kundalini awakening where this happens without the intervention of the guru but thru divine grace it generally happens at the Brahma Muhurta.

Though we do have a Rudra transformed but I still do not find the characterization upto the mark - lets see whether the upcoming face off btwn the Garuds and Nagas does not degenerate into the facile - with this Dansh it does seem likely😛

My dear Purnima.

I am glad you liked this one too. Yes, for me too the real gift that we got was the return of Seema Biswas. The lady is fantastic, and her MB is going to be the sheet anchor of Team Garuda right thru, and Rudra's right hand woman. She knows things about the whole amrit-garuda-naga rahasya that perhaps not even Shivanand, their brains trust, knows. See, she is the one to produce that painting of the composite garuda machine, and identify the positioning and role of each in the whole!

As for the nagas, except for Dansh, they are all anonymous robot henchmen, perhaps except Mr.Blue Eyes. There is nothing interesting about any of them. Now Dansh is being shown as a poison addict, for what purpose is not clear, for he was zany enough even without that!😉

What is beginning to worry me now is the pacing. They have no room now for any more fancy complications being floated, like Katharine having her own agenda or MB being a shadowy character. This is not a Le Carre novel, full of smoke and mirrors!

They have used up 65 episodes to get the garudas to even accept that they are a team. They have only 55 episodes more, and that does not look like being anything like enough even without any detours.

As for the undoubtedly motivated gossip about the show being axed. I do not believe that at all, for Life OK has hung on to far worse rated shows like Laut Aao Trisha, so why not with the limited duration Mahakumbh? But the writers must now concentrate on a neat story line, not confuse such viewers as they have, and deliver on the Mahasangram part credibly, with excellent action.

Metamorphosis! A perfect title

Enjoyed last week's Rudra's long awaited transformation and the recently of Seems Biswas...

Did not like the Nagas much though...but will wait and watch...

Am a bit concerned about the rumors about MK going off air soon...fingers crossed that it completes its stipulated episodes and the team gets to show us what they had planned...
