Maya is very much needed. Because story of Rudra is incomplete is without her. Lord Shiva had made God of Love into ashes. Unkonhne Moh ka naash kiya tha. In other words he had destroyed the illusional love which is a weakness to man.

But the same Lord Shiva had to bend before the determination of Parvati who took the severest penance for getting him as husband. Lord had destroyed the illusional love and had taken Shakthi as his better half for the welfare of the world. He was the person who made love his strength instead of weakness.

Lead character of MK is Rudra( The most fierce form of Lord Shiva). If he is not shown destroying illusional love and making it his strength then his name itself is meaningless.

@Sayaneet maybe for you. But not for me. At this point things are going good for me the way I understand mythology. So we can agree to disagree here

@Shruthi .. for me it is much wider than mythology .. I prefer to see into the stories to reach the deeper philosophy .. and who doesn't know it's philosophy what makes our ancient stories great .. however my problem is not Maya but any damsel in distress who cries n cribs all the time .. for God sake Indian girls are neither dumb nor weak .. anyway we are free to disagree .. no issue

The serial has a Dan Brown novel type feel but the heroine is like commercial Hindi movie heroine

where was her breathing problem, when she was making so many basket, one after another, running fast, jumping... even normal people catch breath while jumping and running fast...

No this girl has Super Basket-Woman complex .. my sis too pointed out the same point .. n don't make me start with that epi .. Rudra fighting & fighting the tapori guy is standing like statue of liberty holding hand of this Maya girl .. poor guy was not allowed to move and asked to stand still until Rudra starts beating him .. and Maya with her very signature expression like this - 😲

2. Romancing Rudra

is it absolutely needed to force a louv story in such a unique show?.. even if it is must for Hindi shows, then serve it properly. Their falling in love is simply not convincing. It is like we are forced to believe they are falling in love, they are in love n blah blah. They didn't even make a good friend forget being in love [not even talking about chemistry .. the actress is no match to Gautam n I didn't watch Saraswatichandra so don't judge it in that way]

The problem is that genious Shiva was speaking in code language and Rudra did not get it 😆😔

I completely agree with this post . This maya drama is completely hampering the pace of the show . It is very irritating . As far as maya -rudra chemistry is concerned it is zero . At no point in the serial u get the feeling that they are in love .It is becoming very difficult to identify with the pain that rudra is feeling for Maya coz at no point u get the feeling they are in love . Mk has some superb actors and superb dialogues . Gautam ,shivanand ,dadi , nanu , maimu , balivesh , khoyekhoye pandey , udiya baba are all excellent actors . The story is interesting and different . The only weak point in mk is the maya -rudra love story and the tepid chemistry .And the director and writer would do well not to spend too many episodes on it and move ahead
