Shivanand is upping the ante?

He acknowledged Rudra's pain. But stopped at that. He also mentioned his pain. Both fleetingly. Quickly moved to 'niyati'. I did feel that he is too focused on 'mission Amrit' that he is not giving time or importance to Rudra's 'manassthithi'.

But to be fair, he also said there is something above all this and his disagreements with dadi. And that he has some expectations from him in that regard. That should give Rudra a hint?

I totally admire how he is not upset at all with dadi and lets it go each time. That just proves he is not egoist. More so today. She repeatedly snubbed him. Each time he didn't have anything in his heart against her. He repeatedly touched her feet. Dadi iss mamle mein dhanya hai. Aise santaan bahut viral hain.

Its with Rudra that he is being indifferent. Atleast at this point of time. But he is not putting his foot down. He is pleading because he knows he didn't raise Rudra to command him. He is not showing his emotions to pull him towards his side like dadi is.

Dadi - I will let her go today. I think she is upset at having to see any further damage. Fair enough. Anyway Shivanand does not care for her insults or snubs. She will meanwhile keep on showing her mind-reading skills.

Shivanand's real test will be when his wife and Maya come in. Lets see what he does then. Hate to see a stoic and devoid-of-feelings Shivanand.

Katherine, Charles were good today.

Liked today's episode. Any episode that gives some food for discussion is good. This dadi-shivanand mind game(s) is giving it in full measure.

The fact that she keeps snubbing Shiva - doesn't it mean that she can't let go of him, and tries to provoke him into some emotion or reaction.

Looking at shiva - he's a tough nut to crack, neither physical torture nor the emotional trauma of being locked up for 24 years in solitary unaware of his family, could sway him from mission Mahakumbh.

Imagine how he must've shut Dadi out, and how every tear, every plea from her to keep the family secret of saraswati Kund within the family, mustve fallen on deaf years.

Yet she keeps trying through taunts, and snide remarks, to find a chink in his armor

It's not Dadi's stubborness I see, but her helplessness!

I don't know. She is not happy seeing him. She can live with Rudra and without Shivanand. She thinks of trouble when she sees Shiva. He is like Dennis the menace but in a negative way.

If she reads minds, she should've figured out that Shiva is stronger in his resolve after 24 years of penance where lived only for this cause.

I do see her helplessness or worry though.

If we step back and look from Shivanand's point of view.

He has known about the Garuda chinh, the Amrit, and has researched extensively along with Prof.Rao and also knows that this Mahakumbh is when the amrit will appear, obviously he will do everything he can for his mission to save the Amrit, because after this the next MK will be 144 years later and he won't even be alive.

And this time he's not alone. He has Prof.Rao with him and and knowing that there are several evil groups/people out to get the Amrit, and added to it the fact that he is a Garud, his son is Sarvashrestha Garud, he feels more responsible to save then Amrit and the confidence that they can do it.

And the other part of showing emotions or care, fathers don't show it like mothers. Mother will hug and kiss and praise the child, that's her nature. Father is happy inside but won't show it like the mother.

Yes Rudra seems to be mission critical than Apple of the eye to Shivanand. He cares, but won't show it the way Daadi does. And time is running out so he must get Rudra to understand everything before it's too late.

Nice title Arshics. It is indeed pechaan episode. But the 3 points that interested me today I will put them in order of preference

- Katherine's dialogue to Balivesh I will not show you path, but your mistakes. I would say hats of to the script writer. You cannot camoflauge a defender of the group, yet reveal she is a defender in a better way. Indeed Katherine is the defender of Garudas and how does she defend. By knowing the chink in the armour of Greison, balivesh and co. Yes by the time they understand their mistakes she would have given the other group upper hand. See the way she attacked the man with hairpin. Out of blue.

- Entry of Rudra and co in Dadi's tent. I loved it. It looked exactly like Shiv and his Bhoot Gan. I mean each member of his group was different and it was surprising how they came across as a group. A foreigner Katherine, a maverick Tapadiya Mai and well a yo yo boy Charles. I loved Tapadiya Mai and Dadi scene. Well both the ladies know how to deal with each other. But dadi wait, just like you are not what you seem, she is also not what she seems like. Katherine as you said I will also place on hold

- Shiva's dialogue to Rudra. Well he has also gone Dadi way. Instead of talking about Garuds and all, he asked Rudra whether his son will complete his pledge. An eager Rudra readily agreed. Now here starts the battle of head and heart for him. Oscillating like a pendulum. Father's pledge or loved one's safety

Does the position of Katherine's chinha mean that she will be the one to hit below the belt?

Also, intriguing was a comment you made - that we are forgetting one vital part of body -

the life giving force - that will define the 7th garuda - I think you are spot on with that,

but I think we alreday have that Garuda with us, the 7th will have the chinha on the leg -

the complement of Thapariy Mai and is her/his identity still a mystery

Nice post Arshi.

I was quite stunned Thapadiya's Mai's emotional connect with Daadi. I have more faith in Thapadiya Mai's discretion than the other characters on the show. She seems to read people correctly. So my anger for Daadi went down by a few notches. Made me feel there is more to Daadi than the stern matriarch.

I found Shiva-Rudra conversation done very nicely. I liked Shiva's words - about having hope, never giving up hope. His hope stems from the faith in his beliefs which have passed the test of science. But the mind can still have doubts. But, here it was hope which had the strength of doubtlessness in it, an enlightened faith.

Rudra was, and is unable to come out of his past. In my opinion, Shiva has had it much worse than Rudra. But Shiva knows his goal, his purpose and hence at peace with himself, despite his mother constantly admonishing him.

Shiva is exhorting Rudra, and he does not have the time to mollycoddle him. But that is because the time is short. They have to be on a war footing. Right now the time is such that he needs the soldier in his son to shine through. And Rudra is in a totally different plane right now. But I do feel that Shiva needs to help Rudra resolve his emotional conflicts. After all, he does need a good soldier, not a half-baked one. But ultimately, it is Rudra who'll have to find his own true calling. Daadi can't decide it for him, nor can Shiva. For Rudra, it will have to be a self-realisation of sorts, of finding his Pehchaan.

@Arshic if below belt was the case it should have ideally in the thigh because if you look MB the below belt hit is prohibilted in Gada yudh which Bhima violates when he hits duri in the thigh. Her point is spine and as I said last week also her loyalty will be a matter of question till the very end.

If you know Samudra Manthan you know that Vishnu as Mohini brings back the Amrit. I somehow feel she will take Amrit to the evil doers and Charles will be crucial in bringing it back. Smell a love story between Charles and Katherine. Though it will start as fake from Katherine's side to get a hold on Garuda's, most probably it will turn serious and love will be the reason Amrit will come back to Garuds

Noone is gonna complement Tapadiya Mai Arshics. When her china is shown I will explain about it more. Think little more Arshics. You are almost there in today's post.
