That's not greed that s mother looking out for kids ambitious yes. I find nothing wrong in that. She gave an option to Shantanu if he genuinely wanted to make bhism next king he would have relented
And i don't think satayvati at the time gauged how event will turn out. But bhishm saw things play out and turned a blind eye
