Our books are more difficult to understand and the most important ones are written before the current form of Mahabharata. Not only that, my mother is a Sanskrit teacher.
BTW, what do you do?

About Gandharva war... I know there is a false justification rather accusation that Karna was drunk.. something funny there.. I remember people claiming Karna was a drunkard 😆 while it is clearly written drinking was practised by all Royal men and woman.. 😆

I love teaching. I respect teaching profession the most.. And unfortunately that profession is the most neglected one (as I can see in our state).

yes drninking in ancient india was not sin
but a warrior is drunk while fightingthat too someone as karna is too funny
my another question how come Karna didn't get to learn chakravyuha and some other celestial weapons which his ju knew was Karna's leaning under Parsurama remained incomplete as his identity revealed and he was cursed

Actual fact is none of them used to drink upto the level of losing self-control. Also there were specific alcohols for each season to be taken in pre-determined amounts only. And everyday consumption of alcohol was not allowed. There were strict rules for that. Hardly a few like Keechaka used to violate them, not even Dury.
