Sun is exalted in Aries (Mesha) and debilitated in Libra (Thula). He also owns a house which Leo (Simha/Singha). All planets are always strong in their own houses. But they are even more stronger at exalted house.

Shani on the other hand is Exalted in Libra(Thula) and debilitated in Aries (Mesha). But he owns 2 houses (Makar and Kumbh).

Currently (current planetary position as of today) Shani is exalted, Guru is exalted in Katak and Sun is in Simha (leo)
