Actually, the epic Karna did help Dury abduct a princess of Kalinga, and he himself, along w/ Shalya(!!!) had a battle w/ a disguised Arjun & Bhima. Shalya had no idea it was his nephews, and Karna too objected to different standards being used - while he wasn't a Kshatriya, neither was the disguised Brahmin Arjun.

Of course, ⭐️Karna was a saint who wouldn't stoop to such an act 😆

actually kidnapping girls and marrying them was considered a respectable kshatraiya act of those times.Because it showed one's prowess

i am saying this based on what krishna ji says in subhadra harna parva

he says that even kidnapping is one of respectable ways to get married

thank god things have changed

I'm posting Karna_Vrishali scene's untagged HD screencaps on the picture gallery in the hope that it'll be help to some interested creation maker . 😆

In a very different note , I sometimes wonder , why so less ( about nothing ) has been written in Mahabharat about Karna's wives ? Or actually of Karna's personal life ? 😕 Isn't he one of the main characters ? He was after all the eldest son of Kunti mata , eldest brother of Pandavas...undoubtedly one of the most invincible warrior & illustrious character of Mahabharat

Looks like the forum's Karna has given his first daan to a head-chewing Panchaali, instead of a mean Indra or a selfish Kunti 😆

yup I said our concentration on his citations will be tripled if he uses those siggies 😆

Watcher, after you post, the next time they post, take a test, to see whether they've really been reading your citations 😈

Well, b/w you & Watcher, one had to pick one. But Watcher has been active on every Karna thread since the start of the forum - you at that time were busy defending ⭐️B 😆

But look @ the bright side - had you won this, Panchali & Sayanee would have forced you to let go of your other siggies and have both Karna siggies 😆 Instead, Watcher goes thru this torture 😈😆

There is a lot we could get to know if we know the planetary positions. It would be interesting to look at Karn's birth chart.

Here is the secret.

All Indian months are based on the star as to when the full moon would occur.
There are 27 stars (Abhijit not included), 12 months (12 zodiacs/houses in astrology).

Vedas have auxiliaries which contain six parts called VEDANGAS. They are Sikha or euphony and pronunciation (nose), Vyakaraa or grammar (mouth), Chandas or metre (feet), Nirukta or etymology (ear), Jyotia or astronomy/astrology (eye) and Kalpa(arm) or procedure.

Each of these six is perceived of as an organ or anga of Vedas and hence the name Vedngas.

Jyotish is considered eye of vedas because it helps us see what is ahead of us.
That's the beauty of our great Vedic scriptures.

There is lot more but let me NOT tax you people with these kind of things.

Here are stars on which full moon occurs and hence the name of the month is named after the star.

Chitra - Chitra star (Approximately April 15 - May 15 - Aries in English Solar month)
Baisakh - vishaka (May 16 - June 15 - Tauras)
Jyestha - jyesta star ( June 16 - July 15 - Gemini)
Ashada - Ashada star - Poorva/Uttar (Cancer)
Shravana - Shravan/Tiruvonam (Leo)
Purva Bhadrapada - purrattasi (Virgo)
Aswina - ashwini star (Libra)
Karthik - Kritthika (Scorpio)
Margasris- Mrigasheersha (Sagittarius)
Pushya - Pushya (Capricorn )
Magh ( Aquaris)
Phalgun
(pisces)

@Diala,
Thanks for dusting the mahabharat book. Please get accurate birth info on our hero Karn 😊
