My two cents. Pls bear in mind my illiteracy re: Gita

Human beings are consumed with their own little troubles while God obviously sees the entire picture. So it is both. For the Pandavs it was a war for power and wealth. For Panchali, she wanted justice which in my view comes higher on the scale. For God there must have been greater good for humanity.

Do I believe ends justify the means? Absolutely not. OTOH, I believe means have to justify the ends. Or else you end paying a heavy price. Which is what the Kauravas learned the hard way and so did Pandav side.

So then why did God let all the adharm happen in the name of Dharm? My personal belief is that God is not a dictator. He allows personal choice and our choices determine consequences

With that I have to go back to my karma
😆 . Work awaits

bold agreed

that is why i believe that war happened due to human reasons and not due to some divine reason or over glorified reason like betterment of society

war happened because rivalry between two families got escalated completely human reason

like you said this war was a consequence of several actions and god doesn't interfere in those actions for example krishna ji does try to avoid this war in some way when he goes with the peace proposal here as god he is giving chance to dury to make the right choices and stop the war which dury doesn't hence war happened

Human actions and consequences of those actions led to this war and God was a part of it since he had to teach mankind many things through this war which he did

Regarding today's episode i am disappointed that Bhishma's Gyaan to yudi was cut short to just one dialogue

i liked Dhrit and Gandhari though both as actors and character's .Not that i approve of what they were saying or doing but they were behaving like normal human beings would so i could connect with them and their pain and rage

Couldn't connect with Kunti's extra mahaan nature at all may be because i am not mahaan😆

I think human reasons are diff from divine reasons. Duh, right?

So while Ps and Ks may have fought for wealth and power there is always a higher purpose to life and it's happenings

Let me tell you about a story I read. Leave logic outside for a mo. One of Gods healing angels start wondering why God lets calamities happen. So while fighting twin pulls to submit to gods will and to save a child's life, she saves the child. Who later on goes on to be the worlds biggest mass murderer

Now I am not saying God is responsible for all calamities. Just that for our every action there is a consequence to the larger world in place which we prob cannot see at the moment. So had the Ps not fought the war for their own reasons, there would have been consequences for them. Just a as there would have been a reason for society to avoid war and consequences on a larger scale. Since they did fight the war there may have been their own reasons and consequences but there were also reasons why the larger society would be impacted

Did that sound muddled enough?

😆

I agree about Dhrit and Gandhari- both actors have come a long way and one can totally understand where they are coming from

Kunti in this version has been turned into some sort of mahaan devi which she never was...and frankly I find her mahaanta quite irritating
