Killing a weaponless warrior was already done in the war - Drona and Karna. Night battles also happened on the 14th night.

In my humble opinion - in the killing of Upa-Pandavas - Aswathama did not break any rule which was not broken in the war previously, he at least did not kill the Upa-P's in their sleep, he killed them upfront.

Killing of Dhristdyumna and the nasty use of Brahmashira makes him loathable but the killing of Upa-P's was not much of a cowardly act as people think.

It was just that the Upa-P's were never much of a match for Aswathama, the kids should have called their fathers to deal with Aswathama rather than taking one of the best warriors by himself.

his redirecting the brahmmastra on pandava women is an unforgivable act alone.

@TheWatcher, but the war was over, right?? Why did he have to cause more havoc?? If he wanted any revenge what was he doing after 15th day?? He had 3 more days to do whatever he felt like!!

Arijit, if he had not redirected the brahmashira on pandava women, do you think draupadi , subhadra etc would had given birth to more children of pandavas?
