Episode begins with Duryodhan telling Arjun that there are only a few moments left until sunset. Duryodhan tells Arjun that he won't be able to kill Jayadrath today, and Arjun looks angry.
Jayadrath is shown, looking tense, inside the Kaurava camp. He sees the sun beginning to set and laughs. He says in a few moments I will be able to light Arjun's pyre myself.
On the battlefield, Dushasan and Ashwathama arrive beside Duryodhan. Ashwathama taunts Arjun for not being able to fulfil his vow. Dushasan begins taunting Krishna for believing he is God. šµ Duryodhan taunts Arjun for choosing Krishna over the Narayani sena. Krishna looks at the sun and sends his Sudarshan chakra to hide it. The sounds for the end of the day are played and the Kaurava army begins laughing. Duryodhan reminds Arjun of his vow. Arjun tells Krishna that he has accepted him as God, and he is sure that his failure is part of God's plan.
A soldier tells Jayadrath that the sun has set, he leaves for the battlefield. Another soldier tells Shakuni the same news, but Shakuni realises it is a trap since the sun set too quickly for it to be a natural sunset. He wants to warn Jayadrath.
The other Pandavas arrive, and Duryodhan taunts Arjun saying they have come to pay their last respects to him. Arjun walks towards the pyre with his bow in hand, while Jayadrath is shown coming towards him. Jayadrath arrives and laughs at Arjun saying he will now light his pyre. Shakuni also arrives but realises what has happened and shouts at Krishna for hiding the sun with his chakra. š
Everyone realises what has happened (expressions are too good! š) Krishna says he cannot set the sun, but at least he can create the atmosphere of a sunset. š The Kauravas realise they have been played just as Arjun realises he can fulfil his vow. Krishna recalls his chakra and once more the sun appears. Arjun moves towards Jayadrath but he warns Arjun that if he kills him, his own head will explode. Arjun tells Jayadrath not to worry š Arjun says he will use the Pashupatastra (Mahadev's weapon) so that his head will land in his father's lap. Arjun releases his arrow and it cuts off Jayadrath's head. š It lands in his father's lap and they both explode.
Arjun tells the Kauravas that just like today, all the sinners will die. He says that rivers of blood will flow and they will suffer.
In the Kaurava camp everyone is gathered together. Shalya tells Duri that his defeat is certain. They argue but Shakuni tries to calm them down. Duryodhan tells Karna that he must kill Arjun for him. Karna assures him that his Shakti from Indra is saved for Arjun. Dushsan shouts at Karna for not using the weapon as of yet. Karna says he will use it tomorrow, but Dushasan orders him to use it today and now. Karna says he can only use it when his enemy is in front of him in the battlefield. Shakuni says we can bring the enemy in front of you. Drona tells them that fighting after dark is against the rules, but Shakuni tells Drona that it is against his rules to die in battle. Shakuni tells Duryodhan that only Arjun can fight properly during the night. He says the Pandavas are busy cremating Abhimanyu, if they attack now then Karna can use Indra's shakti.
precap: the kauravas come to attack the Pandavas during the night. Krishna tells Bhima that they need his son Gatotkach. Gatodkach is shown in his huge form, destroying the Kaurava army.
