With the last few days for the show and with more hurtful and sensitive episodes coming up where every character will be judged and criticized, we would like to address a few points which members have to take a note of while discussing in the forum.
One thing we would like to reiterate, we do agree criticism is part of the show, You are free to show displeasure, contradict, disagree and criticize the show and its characters. However there is a fine line between these actions and bashing which violates IF-COC. direct hurls, targeting people/show with the intention to humiliate and disgrace is what is not allowed and we expect you all not to be too acrid and sarcastic which results in mocking and insulting
"We understand that not everyone can a fan of all celebrities but that does not allow anyone to resort to name calling .We do not encourage anyone riling up fans of particular character, actor and hence making the section a war zone. Most members tend to get very protective of their favorite to the point that someone's fairly respectful opinion or critique of their fav makes them rush to defend their fav. This causes a bigger fight and problem! hence we urge you to know the difference between criticism and bashing.
This is an epic , be neutral in commenting without being biased, all characters do die or live according to the story and do not be bashful to the characters for killing your favorites, of course they can be discussed and criticized without mocking/insulting/bashing them.
Appreciation Threads:
We would like to reiterate this point, please Keep the discussion of story, current tracks restricted to just the character and his/her scenes with other characters. Please refrain from analyzing and discussing characters which are not directly/indirectly related to the actor/character of a particular AT , in particular when they imply stating negative opinions or mocking/insulting or inciting towards any other character.
Reporting guidelines and actions
As stated here India-Forums.com- Participation Guidelines & Rules please do follow this guideline, quoting from the above said guidelines "Please do not report the same post more than once. Member reporting the same post multiple times will receive PM warning and if it continues there will be raise in Warning Level too. This rule certainly does not intend to discourage the members from reporting but often same post is reported multiple times from the same member. Please do understand that DT needs at least 24 hrs to work on the reported post and simply pressing the report button multiple times will only delay the process. Some situations demand the time and consultation of people and hence take time to get back. "
Please be noted, that the Moderators are also members like yourself. We would also want to have the time to make posts like you and discuss with our friends; and we also have a personal life. Meaning, we cannot be around to babysit the forum 24/7. Please allow a reasonable time frame of 48 hours before passing judgement against DT and/or escalating the matter to the CMs/GMs. Some situations demand the time and consultation of people and hence take time to get back. we try to address issues and respond to PMs and Reports as soon as we can get to them, but we request you to grant us some leverage as well. Instead of mass PMing it would appreciated if one person PM's the concerned DT with regards to the issue.
Dev Team
We are here to step in whenever the need arises, be it an offending comment/post or any other concerns or queries. The Dev Team is NOT allowed to disclose what we are doing with certain threads or what action we are taking with the members, so please do not assume things and refrain from making judgments on our decisions, as we just don't go through the topics you guys report but through EVERYTHING in that particular thread. Just because we don't highlight step by step as to which action was taken against which member, it doesn't mean action wasn't taken. If you have a problem, PM the Dev Team members.
Agree to Disagree
We do believe, each of us have different likes and preferences, but the love for one shouldn't be the reason to hate/bash/name call the other. Just because some one has a differing likes and preferences from ours, doesn't mean they are bashing, We need to agree to disagree and be respectful in accepting each others POVs and moving on there by making it an amicable place for discussions related to Mahabharat Forum.
Everyone has their own POV, every member is different and holds their own opinion. Therefore everyone's opinion should be respected whether you agree to it or not.Please consider it as a final request/warning, failing to do so will have to face the consequences of violating the above said rules
