Thanks for asking interesting questions๐
Hello Ritika and congrats!Thank you๐
im not a very active member here...what better thread than this to start being so...๐wont trouble u too much...just some simple basis...๐thats so sweet of you...๐
my 5 pointers-1) elaborate in detail how the lessons from MB can be applied(ie the steps to be taken) to revive our country back to spirituality?I think one lesson which is very important and kind of build foundation of every civilization is concept of Karuna (being sensitive ) to other pain..People these days are increasingly and alarmingly becoming insensitive and self centred..This creates divide and obviously negative atmosphere around.. So just being compassionate towards fellow beings is what we can take from MB and probably understand that it was lack of this compassion with a woman that ultimately acted as catalyst to war...similarly more we make ourselves devoid of compassion...more we will see destruction around... As far as turning into spirituality.. for me greatest worship of God is to love what God created.. ๐2) List some of your musings from MB that remain unanswered/ ie u are seeking answers to it.This is sort of controversial.. but I feel many a times...that this War did more damage than justice it seeked.. Where many innocent lives were caught in between right and wrong of dharma of two clans.. Many of those soldiers who died were just doing their duty .. and when we talked of justice for a woman ...why we dont see other side women who sort of became victims of war..3) What is the most imp lesson u learnt from BG which u are yet to imbibe, and what is the most important lesson that u have already imbibed? What I am yet to imbibe- Well I do expect a lot .. be it from people..be it from work i do...and that does lead to disappointment when that expectations doesnt meet...but as much as try ..i just cant take away that feeling...
What I have already imbibed- Well its tough to say I imbibed.. coz i dont know that ..but I do believe in the fact that for seeking God.. you dont need to search much...its inside your soul.. Sometime through your soul searching you realise whats right and wrong... its more of inner conscious. Its tough to understand it...thus I say its tough to imbibe..but perhaps ..I believe in this form of bhakti more...where i just close my eyes and seek God within..
4) what steps should be taken by devotees to pass on the message of BG to those in fundamental darkness?Interesting question..Actually its tough to force things on people around.. We can surely educate them with entertainment media.. with what they watch on screen ..I feel this show in a way simplified many teachings of BG for a person like me who has not much knowledge of texts. So definately this medium is crucial.. Beside that I think parents and teachers can guide children to some basic understanding .. A child learns it first from parents...
5) comment on the polygamy status in MB. If MB is worshipped as an epic, why is polygamy discarded in Hindu society as-of-now? Detail.Polygamy.. if you mean one man wedding many wives..then I certainly dont believe in that..May be during that yug there were compromises among kingdoms and things happened the way it did...and present scenario is totally different... I believe one can show true devotion of a husband or be it a wife towards one person only...and also expect same devotion from his/her spouse that way... thus I believe in one man woman relationship.
