Now, with the resonating BG music of Shri Krishna Govind Hare Murari, a smiling Arjun joins hands in devotion and expresses his sincere gratitude to the Lord for cleansing him of all his doubts and vows to obey his every order. He then requests Him to re-appear in His Human form. Krishna acknowledges and benedicts.
With another conch sound and reinvigorating Dhananjay BG theme, a determined Arjun lifts his Gandiv before an approving Lord. A new song plays(it's a nice one..do listen) and both take their respective positions on the chariot to reach the Pandava's side. An eye-sign from the Lord un-pauses the frozen moment and the sky resumes to a clear bright blue. The Maharathis blow their conchos to announce the beginning of the maha-yudh.
Back at Hastinapur, Sanjay conveys to a scared Dhri that Arjun has been bestowed with apur brahma-vidhya, and blissfully prides that he himself feels purified by this gyaan. The fact that Arjun has lifted his Gandiv with full determination and power, further adds misery to an already agitated Dhri.
Dhri asks Sanjay to update him on every detail. Sanjay, telecasting live, reports that the armies are gearing up in formation...the pandavas in order to compensate for their lesser army strength(numbers..), have used the Vajra Formation to smartly tear into the battlefield and reach Duryodhan at the earliest. Sanjay describes to an ignorant and stunned Dhri that the Vajra Vuyh (formation) is the biggest strength of the senapatis, extremely tough to design and even more so to resist, and which is as dangerous as Indra's weapon.
Back at Kurukshetra, Duri "orders" Pitamah to respond with a counter-formation but Mahamahim deftly shooes it and sticks to first attacking sans any formation. With his "aakraman" yell, his army races, and so does the other, with swords brandished towards each other. Both the armies clash with an din and there begins the bloodshed and war.
All the Pandavas are fighting...Arjun is raining sun-bolts and arrows. Bheem, Yudi and Dhrishtadhum are brandishing their respective weapons towards soldiers. Nakul gives aavahan to Maharaj Shalya and they duel. Sahadev mocks Shakuni that the weapon he is holding in his hand, if is his usual prapanch then it will stand no chance...and Shakuni confidently retorts-this is your mrityu!(death). Both get off their chariot and duel...Sahadev finally kicks him hard and sends him flying in the air(lol..i loved this part).
Amidst all, the Pandavas shielded by their Vajra Vuyh are successfully and quickly proceeding which is getting Duri restless. He reminds Pitamah of his Vow. He wants him to fight with full-force and get him to Yudi asap and make him victorious. He goes on like an adamant kid-"mujhe vijay chahiye pitamah...mujhe vijay chahiye...aaj hi".
Pitamah assures him no harm will come to him as long as he(Pitamah) is alive. Upon yet again Duri stressing on Vuyh formation, Pitamah gives him a reality check-as long as the Pandavas are fighting together, its impossible for you to attain victory..so let them have their way till the opportune time.
Arjun navigates Vajra Vuyh towards Duri upon Yudi's orders. Arjun is shooting vultures that's eating up the Kaurava's army. Duri is getting restless and accuses Pitamah of devising a "prapanch" against him as Pitamah is keeping all quiet and still.
Meanwhile the Vajra Vuyh is undauntedly prowling towards the enemy.
Back at the palace, Dhri is badly shaken up when Sanjay informs him that Arjun has swiftly knocked down our army's first leg and that the Pandavas are only a few distance away from a face-off with Duri. A fear-struck Dhri expresses his predicament on Pitamah's reluctance in creating a counter-Vuyh to protect his son.
Bloodshed and massive fighting continues.
A haggard Shakuni runs to Mahamahim and informs him of the Pandavas destroying their army's strength. He questions him of his reluctance on devising an appropriate counter Vuyh, fearing lest the Pandavas might reach his baacha Duri.
Mahamahim replies-"magar(crocodile) doesn't close its mouth unless the fishes completely enter its mouth". Finally, he fires an arrow which clashes which Arjun's, showering dust particles onto Arjun. Dhananjay applies the particles to his forehead in gratitude. Pitamah smiles in acknowledgement. Arjun declares that since their awaited aashirwad is now received, lets battle with Pitamah. Mahamahim informs mama-bhanja-"its time to shut the magar's mouth". He re-iterates-"its impossible to get to Yudi as long as the Pandavas are together. The time has come to now separate them". Meanwhile, Yudi asks all his brothers to always keep close together.
Mahamahim blows his conch. Three massive hurricane like something, stretching from the earth to the sky erupt, accompanied by strong winds and lightening. All the Pandavas, Krishna and Drupad anxiously look on at the source of disturbance.
