Thanks Sabhayata...
Arjun not happy about sharing Draupadi at least in one of the novels.
Otherwise, everywhere else we read, how much he neglected her.

it seems the author is a PP fan n wanted Arjun to be all lovestruck like Bheem 😆
Arjun being in love that too this madly is indigestible for me 😆

Put it this way...neither of them were happy, and he kind of did and said things that would make you lose respect for him, unless you knew like we do, that this isn't his character at all. TBH none of the Pandavas are worthy of much respect in this book, they literally fight it out to marry Draupadi, after Arjun wins her swayamvar. Kunti orders Draupadi to marry them all because otherwise her sons would battle each other!?

If it's Arjun-Draupadi you're after (like me) 😎 then read the 'Great Golden Sacrifice'. It's mainly Arjun's POV and although he's also in love with Subhadra, whenever he mentions anything to do with Draupadi, the lines are very devout, very meaningful. I'll try and post some quotes when I get a chance. 😊

@Bhavaani, I have that book but haven't started it yet- now I have an incentive :)

I will post citations from Parva when I get time but remember, Draupadi falls in love with Bheem after her infatuation with Arjun is over :(

But ArDi parts are scandalous lol

@ Bheegi - yes GGS is a much more satisfying read. Arjun is by no means a puppet here either, he also has rash moments, but his understanding of Panchali is beautifully described. I haven't finished the book yet, but most of it is based on events after the war. Half way through Parva, Arjun has redeemed himself in my eyes. Him and Panchali are two very proud people, both having the deepest of feelings for each other, but neither are able to overcome their pride and speak the words aloud!

@ Amritat - lol when you want something bad enough you'll find them in the end!

Sangeeta you really set the AT on fire once you mentioned Parva 😆

We went from 50+ to 90+ in 2 days

I have to get set for the night and then read. Actually will try to read the good (or bad depending on POV) parts first 😉
