Even IF Vyasa's Draupadi had known the outcome of the war beforehand, she certainly would NOT have said,"I don't want the war".
Because Vyasa's Draupadi was completely fire. And that is why she kept on reminding her hubbies about what happened to her. To her, getting justice for herself mattered
the most.
Which is why, in the epic, anybody talking of peace would be at the receiving end of her whiplash tongue.
In this case, ⭐️Drau HERSELF says,"I don't want war..." 🤢
Like seriously, what is the point of her character in the story then? Is this really the woman who is supposed to be Krishna's biggest instrument so as to fight adharma in this story?
Well I disagree on the part, that if Draupadi had known about her sons' future, then she would have still said "I want war".
Honestly, we don't know, how she would have reacted, if she had known the future, do we?
She may not have said "I don't war", but her resolve would have been weakened for sure.
She may have been like fire, but I don't think any mother would be that cruel.
Besides, if justice for herself really mattered to her the most, then the death of her own sons would also be some kind of an injustice for her, isn't it? After all the miseries she had gone through, why would she want that?
But then, I agree with the main post.
I don't know why the CVs are showing things as if Draupadi decided everything?
Who was she? Only an influential queen at most.
And if I am not mistaken, then the King made the final decision. No queen was important enough in those days that she would dictate the future of the common people and declare war.
And despite all the tongue-lashing and brain-washing of Draupadi for 13 years, the Pandavas were ready to avoid war in return for 5 villages.
Although, I loved the Krishna-Leela episodes, I am not liking how the CVs are trying to put this all on the shoulders of Draupadi.
Yes, Draupadi wanted war, and she didn't know the outcome would be so devastating.
And she brain-washed and tongue-lashed her husbands, but she was still NOT the one to decide such an important thing.
I don't know what the CVs are trying to prove?
