When the portraits were brought into my room Sakha was silently standing next to the portrait of Arjuna, his eyes were glued to it. I realized for the first time that as me sakha too got to see his Parth for first time. same as us sakha-sakhi Dhananjaya too was a dark skinned one, i surprisingly discovered a resemblance between him and sakha's feature and that caused me to fall for him more. Ofcourse Arjuna was extremely handsome, his broad shoulder had marks of carrying bow and that was visible even in his royal attire, he didn't try to conceal those ugly marks , i understood Dhananjaya was least bothered about his outer appearance, that casual approach is evident in his persona and that made him more desirable in woman's eyes , if i leave Krishna aside prince Arjuna's charm was unparallelled his appeal will make all fair-skinned princes ashamed. although I couldn't give my full attention to kiriti's painting as Govind was caressing it lovingly as if he was feeling his Parth through the portrait. I didn't disturb him and moved to other Pandava brother's portraits leaving Madhav alone with Parth.
My eyes were caught up by the twins painting first and as a woman i was simply spellbound to see Nakula, I never could imagine such a beautiful person can exist in this world, his complexion was that of glittering gold, his feature was as sharp as some sculpture on rock , his perfect sharp nose , big deep blue eyes , perfectly curved chin , rose petal like lips , perfectly shaped muscular yet lanky figure made me thinking that great creator Brahmadev created prince Nakul collecting the loveliness from every beautiful object of heaven and earth. I felt unlike his elder he was quite conscious of his outlook. I will be a liar if i say i was not attracted towards him. And that was quite natural for a young princess as me.
Sahadev was quite overshadowed by his twin, but that wheatish skinned handsome youth caught my attention with his shining eyes full of intelligence. I understood this youngest Pandava prince is gifted with highest level of intellects and don't know why i felt he will be perfectly matched with my wave length.
I started respecting Yudhisthira at very first glance. He was fair skinned white as silver, the serenity of his face was comparable to that of Lord Maheswara only , over all his whole appearance resembled Lord Shankara. I felt an urge to touch the feet of this handsome man who showed me the beauty of calmness.
I wondered how innocently sweet can a huge person like Bheemsen look. A tanned copperish skinned Vrikodar was no less handsome but perhaps the sight of his big feature of a wrestler overshaddowes his handsomeness. but it was his innocence that captivated me. i felt he had a most simple heart among all. And also a feeling of depending on him arose in my mind., don't know why.

Then i moved towards other paintings , but none as such caught my attention. I came towards prince of Hastinapur Duryodhan's painting, although he too had handsome appearance but the unnecessary proudness and arrogance affected the whole outlook of him. That stopped me to appreciate him.
I couldn't even bear the sight of prince Duhshasan's lustful eyes that was evident in the portrait , i even didn't care to see whether he had something good in his look, i immediately moved from there.
After visiting all the paintings i came to the last one , i wondered who was this tremendous handsome man with a complexion like bright sunlight having an appearance of warrior yet an ancient sadness in his intense eyes? Except Nakula i didn't s see this sharp feature of him in anyone else, his hands and shoulders too carried the marks of bow same as Dhananjaya proving him a devoted archer as Arjuna The burning aura of the Sun was present in his appearance yet his face was strangely devoid from any happiness , quite composed and grave expression did his gloomy face had. i found the man different from all, why no ancestry of him was given unlike others?
"Karna," , king of Anga but not a prince or kshatrtiya either, he is son of a charioteer named Adhirath ,an ally to Duryodhan , biggest rival of Arjuna."
The answer reached from sakha, i turned towards him and found him standing at same posture still looking at his Parth only,, I knew sakha could read the thoughts so was not surprised.
"son of a charioteer? suta-putra?how is that possible?his appearance tells something else, even a blind person can understand that Karna was from a respectable lineage only.
Being utterly confused i looked at Sakha , he continued with an annoyed tone, "Basusena thinks he is greater than Sabyasachi in every aspect , and his motto of life is to make Dhananjaya to look down, for that this proud , headstrong man can go to any extent , be it lying to greatest teacher lord Parasurama , or befriending with cunning Duryodhan by taking alms of Anga kingdom, and Sakha kept on narrating how the rivalry of Karna-Arjun started and the burning hatred reached to the level of threatening for killing each other.
All in while i looked at sakha's eyes , his tone was all sarcastic towards Karna but there was a subtle pain hiding in his eyes which immediately i could connect to the ancient sadness of Karna's eyes. I realized sakha has great respect towards his Parth's arch enemy. Something remained unspoken, unrevealed which in spite of curiosity i didn't dig but that ancient sadness left a mark on me.
All the night my maids kept discussing on Dhananjaya, i completely enjoyed that, but whenever they were on taunting over Bheem's well known appetite or comparing his feature to that of giants, or they made fun of Yudhisthir's saint like calmness saying he was more fit in forest among sages, or commented on Nakula's womanly beauty consciousness or Sahadev's bridal shyness , i scolded them harshly. They thought i have already considered Dhananjaya's family as my own but truth was something else i simply couldn't tolerate any word against any of them.

I think this is the first time I am commenting on your writing...
You know, it's not very nice when you put down a piece of writing for everybody to read, and you actually say "its not much worth reading" 😆
I mean, the moment you say that, you actually "compel" everybody to read and analyze what you have written 😃 - I dunno, maybe if that is a tactic you adopt for actually getting more people to read your stuff or something 😉 (no offence, just kidding!! Please forgive my sarcasm...I'm basically an extremely rude person).

Anyway, what do I think of your writing?

For someone who says that they are not a fan of Draupadi, I'm completely floored at the way you have expressed her thoughts and her inner feelings regarding her birth, her relationship with Krishna, and her thoughts regarding Arjuna. Her thoughts regarding the remaining Pandavas are the big sell-out package for me (I seriously didn't expect you to include that).

All I can say is that you possess a wonderful way with words, and it's an incredible gift to have. And, please harness your wonderful talent - I would love to read more material written by you...

Please continue your wonderful story.

i loved the way you narrated how she found the secrets in Govind 's eyes..You could have given her courage to ask him about that..
