Gandhari cursed krishna ji because she had lost all her 100 sons yes one could say Duryodhan and Dusashan were evil but did other 98 sons also deserve to die?Today if you ask us why they died yes of course we can understand the greater purpose behind their death but gandhari a mother couldnt understand that.In her eyes krishna ji always supported pandavas and were always against her sons he always saved pandavas no matter what. This is how she saw it in her eyes and being a mother its not illogical.I am not saying she is a saint as well she wasn't but i don't think just because she cursed krishna ji she is evil i can understand why she did it

I've read that story on Jaya also- not sure if KMG has it too or not

I agree, as a mom, Gandhari must have been extremely heartbroken but she never stopped her sons from doing adharm in the first place. She chose to be blind whereas Dhrit was born blind- symbolically both were blind and never chose to look beyond the blindfold.

At the same time, I do agree that Gandhari probably never wanted to hurt the Pandavs. She just wanted her sons to be victorious. So, you have a point about the pre cap

@Bheegi:let me check jaya again if this incident is mentioned. And i do agree that Gandhari is responsible for the way her sons turned out to be especially Duryodhan and Dusashan. She never did actually stop them. But did all her 98 sons and her grandsons' deserve to die as well ?I dont know

In fact krishna ji goes to Gandhari twice once in shalya parva and then in stri parva with yudhistira and Bhima to pacify her. Both the times she does agree that Duryodhna is responsible for what happened to him but doesn't understand why rules of war were broken why was her son Duryodhan killed unfairly that was her sore point

Infact she curses krishna ji later when they are all in battlefield and she names several warriors who had died and how their widows were mourning their deaths that is when she tells krishna ji that he could have stopped this carnage but dint hence they way panadavs and kauravas killed each other yadavas will do the same

i am not saying i agree with Gandhari's logic here.Of course not if any one could have stooped this carnage it was Duryodhan who could have stooped it by accepting the 5 villages offer. But a mother's heart full of grief couldn't understand that

my point is the way i understand gandhari is she knew pandavas were right and her sons were wrong but because of her blind love never did anything about it even in the end she did accept her sons were wrong and hence died but yet her heart was full of grief for them hence she cursed krishna ji.Unlike these CV's who are showing her character in extremes first extremely pro panadavs and now extremely anti panadavs

Really..i ws so shockd to hear dt statement 4m her!hw can she tell dis?is she forgot..paanchali cud'v burn all her lovely sons in one go?bt 4 her plead, she didnt???yet she expects smthing lyk dis?if thr ws her daughter instead of draupadi, would she cmnted d same? Itz very sad..hw parents cross their limit of adharm then hw to expect any dharm from their children?i think,b4 duryodhan..itz his parents who to b blamed for his misdeeds.bt nw matter, one has to fulfill his/her punishment in lyftym.
