Exactly!
"You laughed when i tripped
So i laugh while you are stripped."
I hope i am not the only one who sees that this is not tit for tat.
A relative visiting you may trip down, you would laugh, you would curse.
So do you deserve to be invited and stripped naked and verbally abused because OH! You had laughed!

Agree completely with you Diala. We should not say that a woman's respect is above everything. That's a feminist view. Any human's life and respect should be treated equally. The rulers of that era and even in this era also do not think twice before putting the life of trillions of people at risk where peace could've restored they let go of their own selfish ambitions and petty ego.
Kurukshetra war could've easily avoided as well. I think the war itself was the epitome of biggest adharma that had happened in that era. Frankly speaking 'Draupadi's Vastraharan' was nothing compared to the lives lost in that war and what about the number of women who lost their husbands/fathers/sons ? Let alone 'ghor adharmik' Kauravas , even the great dharmik pandavas and Yugavatar Sri Krishna didn't made any proper and honest effort to stop this war.
Makes me think Dharma had a very different meaning at that times.

And why always blamed shakuni for everything, everyone who raised duryodhna was doing something wrong.Pampering him to the extent that he was NEVER satisfied.
Like a stubborn toddler always making grabby "gimme more" hands, always jealous, always wanting more and more.i want this, that, more of that ...
He was the one dying to have indraprastha, shakuni was satisfied with the partition.
But no! Not durodhan.
He wanted IP, his mama decided to give it to him one way or another.

Oh, he was that infamous lawyer of OJ Simpson in that trial in 1995 that had all the US glued to TV - it was the only thing on the news: you couldn't get away from it. The courtroom trial was telecast live. In his closing arguments, he delivered that famous line of a bloody glove, 'If the glove don't fit, you must acquit'. That became the single one liner joke of that trial 😆

Back to MB: your verse was good as well.

About Shakuni, are you asking about ⭐️Shakuni or the real one? The real one didn't raise Duryodhan. Yeah, he was involved in the Varnavarta & the game of dice plot, but he was not the one raising Duryodhan. I think he's convenient fodder for people who want to give his sister a pass, b'cos omg, no woman can do anything evil!!! Which is also why you have the side stories of Bhanumati also being someone who'd urge Duryodhan to make peace w/ the Pandavas.

That war could have been averted had the Pandavas used the first opportunity to slaughter the Kauravas. For instance, when the Gandharvas captured them, Bhima could have taken his mace & smashed Duryodhan's thighs while he was prisoner, and ripped out Dushashan's chest & drank his blood. Sahadev could have killed Shakuni. Had they done that, they wouldn't have had to agonize about fighting & killing Bheeshma, Drona, Shalya, Vikarna or other sons of Gandhari, or on their side, losing Abhimanyu, Ghatotkacha, Uttar, Sveta, and a whole host of their loved ones. Had they done that, then after the 13th year, there would have been no Duryodhan to decline them Indraprastha, they'd have gotten it back, and then they'd have just needed to figure out a way to kill Karna.
