Agree completely with you Diala. We should not say that a woman's respect is above everything. That's a feminist view. Any human's life and respect should be treated equally. The rulers of that era and even in this era also do not think twice before putting the life of trillions of people at risk where peace could've restored they let go of their own selfish ambitions and petty ego.
Kurukshetra war could've easily avoided as well. I think the war itself was the epitome of biggest adharma that had happened in that era. Frankly speaking 'Draupadi's Vastraharan' was nothing compared to the lives lost in that war and what about the number of women who lost their husbands/fathers/sons ? Let alone 'ghor adharmik' Kauravas , even the great dharmik pandavas and Yugavatar Sri Krishna didn't made any proper and honest effort to stop this war.
Makes me think Dharma had a very different meaning at that times.
