everyone in this show is confused about who is elder to whom.. but may be they know Karna is elder to all as they seen him earlier as a bigger boy when he came to Drona

The original Karna had enough time w/ family - several kids (and at least 2 wives), and he was only present in Hastinapur on occasion. He was certainly not living in Hastinapur full time.
