Hello all...

Welcum to my thread...From the tile u must would be thinking that this is an appreciation thread of him...bt this is a debatable topic...

We have always seen Bheeshma in a pivotal role in the show.His post is called mahamahim...First of all,I wanna know who is Mahamahim?What are his powers?Etc.

Then moving further,he took an oath to fight against any injustice for Hastinapur.So,if the king himself does Adharma,cannot he protest him?Dhritrashtra is misusing his powers and instead of punishing him,he is going away from court!We have seen earlier that when Arjuna says to him that they can make Yudhi the king by their parakrama,then Bheeshma opposed that and now,when Dhrit n Gang r doing bad,why cannot he oppose it?Can't he punish gandhara naresh?etc.

And now he has came to save Pandavas by his fear to soldiers,after talking with Dhrit!There cannot he punish Dury,Dushy,Shakku and Dhrit?

Plzz post ur opinions please.

Feel free to correct me.

My intention is not to disappoint any Bheeshma fans-just giving out my doubt.😊

so this topic s acco to show na..?
does drith or dhuri even listen to him :/ n drithrastra tho doesn't even speak when shakuni insults pitamah in front f all :/ .. also he hardly listens to wat pitamah had to say :( ..
n kings decision s final so wat cn pitamah do? he has to follow the order of drith as he s bound to the throne.. n shakuni is under kings protection so I dnt think ki pitamah cn punish him..

After Devavrata's transition to Bheeshma, Shantanu gained his senses and got worried thinking that how can an unborn child's worth be determined. Then Devavrata Bheeshma took yet another oath, that he would see his father's image in whoever sits on the throne, and serve him throughout his life.

He could only advice the right and he did it. Ultimately the decision was to be taken by the king who was actually ruled by his demonic sons. 😡

Good post though the sharp defined lines regarding Bhishma and his role/powers don't really exist.

His essentially self chosen and appointed role was to ensure there was a good king and future for Hastinapur without actually sitting on the seat himself.

As it happens, events unfolded contrary to his expectations a lot of the time and he was a frustrated man most of his life.

Much of what he did in retrospect seems quite weak and indecisive with regard to punishing Dhrit and sons, this would be what you are hinting at I believe. 😉

I was completely shocked today after seeing such insult of Bheeshma in front of all...As far I know,none even could see in his eyes...His height of respect was the most...But,here!!!!🤢🤢

yes becoz he ws commited to the throne n the king too.. n kings order is final..he cant revolt as he was pratigya badh..
