good morning guys, challo aakhir kaar aagaye krishna.

Krishna cuts his finger:

Background: Post the Rajasuya yagya, Bhishm asked Yudhishthir to worship the deserving people gathered in the assembly. Yudhishthir agreed but wanted to know who was the most deserving and hence worthy of the honour of the first worship. To this, Pitamah replied that while there are many who are fit for this honour, there in none more deserving than Vasudev, Lord Krishna himself. So Yudhishthir proceeded to honour Krishna first and started washing his feet. Shishupal, who was the sworn enemy of Krishna, could not bear this sight and became livid with anger. He started insulting each and every person in the assembly who agreed to the first-worship honour to Krishna, including Pandavas, Bhishm, other Kuru elders, and then finally Krishna himself.

Krishna was the only person who could kill Shishupal but he had promised his aunt, Shishupal's mother, that he will forgive 100 sins of Shishupal, each of which deserves a death sentence (that is another interesting story). Hence Shishupal grew in confidence, wretchedness, sinfullness and pride all this time. After he started insulting Krishna, Krishna warned him that his count of 100 sins was about to be over and he should desist from further such sins. Yet Shishupal continues his insults.

Krishna then produces his Sudarshan Chakra (discus) and furls it across. The chakra cuts off Shishupal's head. Shishupal's body falls across and a strange effulgence/flame/aura rises from his body and merges with Krishna's body. The chakra returns to Krishna who is holding his index finger to receive it back. While the revolving chakra settles itself on Krishna's finger, it accidently cuts his finger.

The story: The popular story starts here. Krishna's finger starts bleeding profusely. Seeing this, Draupadi who is nearby, rushes forward, tears hers expensive saree pallu (end of the saree), and ties it as a bandage to Krishna's finger in an attempt to stop the bleeding. Krishna is exceedingly pleased and says to Draupadi, "O my beloved sister and sakhi, today you have made me your eternal servant. I am forever indebted to you. I promise you that I shall repay each and every thread when the time comes."

Aftermath: When Draupadi was being disrobed, Lord Krishna appeared and saved her honour by making her saree of infinite length. Duhshasan pulled and pulled and yet the saree would not end. Finally he fell down exhausted.

The BRC Mahabharat serial also showed this incident (Krishna cuts his finger). The original shlokas, KMG version or Gita Press does not mention this "bandage" incident. Nevertheless, it is very popular story.

Written update 4th March 2014 Episode - 125

1) Vasudev join hands to Indradev and requests him to control his anger. He also requests him to support Arjun. Indra comes down from the sky.

2) He talks to Vasudev and Arjun. Arjun pleases him with his sweet and decent behavior. Indradev smiles and promises to build a new city with the help of Vishwakarma. Arjun tells his divine father(Indra) that the new town is going to be called by his name.
"Indraprashtha"

3) After that Mayasur comes with all snakes. The snakes consume the poison from the bodies of the villagers and they become conscious again.

4) Mayasur surrenders to Vasudev and apologizes. Vasudev tells him "You are the vishwakarma of asuras. You have tremendous artistic capability. You could use your strength for the welfare of society but you used your strength in a wrong way. For you snakes became proud of their own town and developed enmity with humans"

5) Then Arjun requests Vasudev to forgive Mayasur and He does that. Vasudev takes a promise from Mayasur that in future he is going to help whenever required.

6) Vasudev advises Arjun to summon Agnidev and he also ascends. Agnidev becomes pleased with Arjun because he had his hunger quenched by consuming the Maya of Mayasur. He gifts him the Gandiva (the most famous Dhanus) of Mahabharat. He says "this Dhanus will be as quiet and powerful as your brain. You will be invincible with this Dhanus. Agnidev disappears.

7) The Vishwakarma starts building Indraprastha on the barren and burnt land of Khandavprastha. Within a few moments a whole town is built.

8) Vrushali is found near the river bank by Adhirath. She is taken to the Vaidya and comes back to sense. She gets the news that everybody is alive in Indraprasth and feels very happy.

9) Duryodhan becomes so worried to see that almost every villager are going to migrate to Indraprasth. He tells Mamashree to do something. He says that Dhritarashtra has to stop this continuous migration.

Main theme - Krishna's (Vasudev) help to Pandav and the creation of Indraprasth.
