This was a great scene this week.

But I was glad they didn't show Karna on Saturday, when Duryodhan & Dushashan were urging Dhritarashtra to crack down on the Pandavas. But it's funny how this Karna seems to respect the privacy of the Kuru family, which the real Karna rarely did.

One thing worth noting - Karna's support to Duryodhan's disrupting the Kalinga swayamvara did have him involved in a battle w/ Jarasandha, but in this case, Karna fought & defeated a number of rulers - Bheeshmaka, Jarasandha, Satadhandwa, et al. It wasn't the single 1-1 duel b/w the 2.

That came later. Once Jarasandha was back @ Magadha, he went to war w/ Karna, and this time, Karna defeated him & was in a position to kill him, when Jarasandha sued for peace, offered him friendship and gave him Champa & Malini. Karna's kingdom got enlarged.

Incidentally, they're showing Jarasandha as way too young. Remember, he'd be the age of a grandsire of Karna - someone like a Bheeshma. He was the FIL of Krishna's mama Kansa, so how can he be shown the same age as Karna? DBSK had it right using Puneet Issar - our Parashurama - as Jarasandha: this serial is making it look like Jarasandha was a young vibrant ruler who was Bhima's or Karna's equal. And it's not like Shinde & co don't know - when Pandu would have his meetings about the threats to Hastinapur, the threat that they discussed was primarily from Jarasandha.

Also, looks like Jarasandha's friendship w/ Karna would be a reason that the Pandavas would have been in no position to befriend him - in addition to their allegiance to Krishna.
