I think we should go back now. Swyambar is over.

No, swayamvar includes the wedding itself, so let that be over as well. Good rule of thumb is when they stop showing them in Kampiliya, and start showing them in Hastinapur.

i loved today's episode specially krishnarjun eye lock , that funny moment , and arjun praising karna

batukeswar was so greedy he took all jeweleries and asked to give all and all were smiling

but sahadev falling is just hilarious at first i also thought he was dying

Oh yes i almost forgot this scene .Yesterday karna was supporting arjun and today arjun was supporting karna it was nice to see.Although epic's karna and arjuna would have never done this but yet great characters respecting each other is good to see

Have to admit I like the Karna-Arjuna distortion of StarBharat.

Also they are finally giving some air time to the other Pandavas. We got to see Yudhi's wisdom today, Bheem the good husband, Nakul the naturelover, and Sahadev's foresight.

Not sure how I feel about Nakul being depicted as the dumb one. It is comic, but insulting as well.

me too like Karan Arjun love. I like this distortion too.āļø
They looked so good together when Aham helped him to life wheel. ā¤ļø
I don't want them to show Virat war. Its not good.😔 Hope they will skip it.
and don't want Karan to die in the end. 😔

I don't get Draupad - this version. He wants his daughter to be a Queen, but that is not consistent with marrying her to Arjun. Arjun was a superior warrior. He wasn't a king. Only Yudhistir could be king. So, how could Drupad think to marry Draupadi to Arjun and yet make her a queen?šŸ¤” Marrying her off to a Brahmin takes him further away from his goal of making Drau a Queen, but even married to Arjun she would not be queen. So, what did he plan to do with Yudi if Drau married Arjun?

Oh goody another opportunity to break down Starjuna's genius plot.
Quick Legend:
D = Drupad
DI = Draupadi
A = Arjun

Here is what we know:

1) Drupad (D) wants to marry Draupadi (DI) to a king
2) D wants marry DI to Arjun (A)
3) Drona (DR) became friends D
4) DR's son Ashwathama (AA) is now the ruler of half of Panchala

It's analyzing time!!
Actually there is only one logical reason to all this. But here are my theories:

Theory 1: The way Starjuna confuses Yuvraaj and Rajkumar ... I think they have confused King with Prince.

Theory 2: D is thinking/hoping that only A survived the Lakshagrih so A could marry DI. Since A would be alone and is a super warrior, chances are to uphold kshatriya dharma, A would conquer land and become a king, thus making DI a queen.

Theory 3: D has hidden his evil, emotionless, nature in front of Krishna to avoid some more bhaashans, and is secretly hoping DI will get married to Yuddhi (Y) too, thus making her queen

Theory 4: D wants Y to make A the Yuvraaj and not Bhim (B). So when/if Y retires/dies, A will be there to be king and DI will be his queen

Theory 5: D doesn't know what he's talking about ... drank a bit too much madira?

But, am starting to realize she was rather dumb😵 Firstly, why throw the baby when she could have claimed its discovery😈 Secondly, why let Madri select such LAME dads for Nakul & SahadevšŸ‘ŽšŸ¼ Thirdly, why runaway from Hastinapur after Lakshaghar? That would have been perfect time to get Dury & 99 exhiled 🤪 Fourthly, suggesting things be split equally... hello sometimes equality is not equity. For instance if the Pandavs shared food equally then bechara Bheem would starve.

You raise some valid points:
1) She was unmarried at the time, so she couldn't claim to adopt him. Of course she could have instructed some other couple to adopt him instead, but she was too ashamed to bring the child back i guess, lest it be traced to her. I think, in that sense she was a weak woman. I don't think she really cared for the baby Karna. Even later when she had the chance to confess Karna as her own son, she didn't. The only time she interacts with him is when she requests him to spare the life of the Pandavas before the war. (Great, that Karna sees through her selfish motive)

2)Nakul and Sahadev did not have a substantial role in the epic. Hence we never really get to know them as well as the other Pandavas. In this show, they have opted to dumb them down, especially Nakul (when that was obviously not the case). There have been better shows. films where the wisdom/intellect of one of the characters has been portrayed without making the others look stupid.

Wish the writers would have put in more effort in this part of the dialogues rather than those metaphors that every character uses to explain their point. The metaphors look good in the text, as Mahabharat, being a poem, can take such liberties. But I hardly think that everybody (barring the few wise and enlightened ones) used such highly allegorical language back then.

3) However weak she might have been, Kunti was politically aware and astute. Bhishma was sworn to serve the king and Vidura did not really have an influential say in matters. Kunti knew that the Pandavas would never be safe in Hastinapur without any allies or support, which they later found in Panchal and Krishna. They decided to go undercover for the same reason Kunti did not report Duryodhan's attempt at poisoning Bheem and other misdeeds during their childhood.

Yesterday's Episode Stuff:

Some things I never understood in yesterday's episode:
1) If Bhim can lift a column, smash it onto the ground and break the center of the stadium, does this mean that his feet don't have the same power as in his hands (thinking back to the Lakshagrih track)

2) Right before Shaki told the kshatriyas to raise their weapons, Arjuna and Draupadi were shown about to exit. However, after the other kings and Duri, etc. stopped/left we see Drupad coming down to bless his daughter and as such both Arjun and Draupadi pay their respects by touching his feet. So does this mean that if Shaki hadn't said anything then Arjun and Draupadi would have both left and the entire emotional scene that followed wouldn't have happened?

3) While they are adding random characters, I wish they would bring back Rukmini. Pallavi has great talent and I liked her ... so as long as they are going to distort the story, they could have included Rukmini. It would even make sense, since Draupadi's mom is never shown, so Rukmini could instruct Draupadi about marriage life, etc.

On to today's episode:

1) Ok I have to ask... How did Sahadev fall behind. I understand that he was caught up in all those bad signs, but when he tripped and fell (haha), he laid there as if someone had stabbed him multiple times and he didn't have the strength to get up. He just laid there looking at the sky, as if his final moment was about to come (and he even closed his eyes too šŸ˜†)

2) Yuddhi was the first one to say "Bhim" ... so either he was really confident in Arjun (seeing as he takes advice from Arjun, I guess he knows him pretty well) or he made a boo-boo šŸ˜†

3) So why did Bhatukeshwar stop after getting the jewelry... i mean he knew the Pandavas secret, and they didn't request him to keep it a secret .. wouldn't it have been safer to carry him along ... i mean that was the initial plan.

4) Arjun interrupted his mother's prayers ... doesn't he know better than to do that?

5) Why didn't Draupadi touch Shikandini's feet (like she did for Dhristi) ... she just hugged her. It would have been nicer to show her start to touch her feet and then stopped half way (since Shikandini would have stopped her) and then hugged... it would have added 5 seconds to the show ...

6) Where is Drupad's wife?? Shouldn't she at least be in this, you know, to bid her daughter farewell!!! see this is where Rukmini would have been a perfect addition ... Krishna is Draupadi's friend, and Rukmini would be Draupadi's mom-like friend!!! Or perhaps Starjuna is trying to tell us that Drupad's wife died, and Drupad in his grief went into an all rage mode (hence his constant yelling and extreme hatred of women), and only when Krishna came did he cool down.

7) If Bhisma's intentions were to bring the Pandavas back, then why did he allow the yuvraaj abhisheik? (speaking of which, it's an earlier episode, but when Duri comes to pay his respects to his mother, Dussala chirps "Pranipath Jyesth Brahta" ... and she was ignored šŸ˜†)

8) kya baakhwas episode tha... especially that last part ... the promo seems to be just as crazy

EDIT: oh one more thing -- my prediction for the next episode. the stones Krishna gave Draupadi will fly out of wherever she is keeping it... and will fall near each of the Pandavas who are standing in a wide circle around her (just like the Arjun and Drupad scene)

Oh another question --- this is from wayyy back. But I thought Drupad wanted to kill Arjun (revenge), so a) what made him change his mind (IIRC after Krishna came, he had an instand change of heart, but curious if there are other answers) and b) Arjun didn't know that Drupad changed his mind, but he did know that Drupad wanted revenge ...so why would he enter the contest??

EDIT 3: Oh and I'm growing on Yuddhi too! yay yuddhi šŸ‘

Haha,That was another pathetic attempt of the show to resort to melodrama rather than stick to the epic. So from now on, whenever Sahadev has to foretell an adverse/ominous future event, we know what's going to happen to him. (t reminds me of the hindi film logic, where a person keeps staring at the object that is going to attack him/her rather than move out of the way. And also where a person keeps fretting/talking to a person about to die rather than give him medical attention.)

And what's with Sahadev revealing his 'poorvabhas' after the incident has actually happened?
