Shinde thought of sensible Bheema's marriage with Hidimba. A simple, inexpensive marriage attended by non-dancers from mental asylum. His respect for Bheema redoubled.

Draupadi yet has to marry 5 pandavas. Vrishali soon on cards and Arjun, a real casanova with countless marriages are bound to make me go bankrupt.

Arjun had only 4 marriages, and 1 - w/ Uloopi - was a Gandharva vivaha and would have nothing but garlands: would not incur such an expense. But the only night he spent w/ her then was their s/r

But the thought made his eyes moist nonetheless.
Shinde secretly hoped that in due time, his daughter will elope like Subhadra or Rukmini and get married in court and save him expense of traditional marriage.

But most of the guests from mental asylum were non vegetarians. Meat is not that inexpensive these days.

Hmmm. Good point. As it is in my hands, I shall make Shinde a vegetarian. I will also make sure that Shinde marries his daughter on MahaShivratri and only cooks khichadi for guests. Hope it will save some money. 😆

Really ? I remembered reading somewhere on this forum that he, Dury had many wives but relatively few children. Maybe I am mistaken.
