My Votes will goes towards

First

Yashoda Ma ... for Raising Krishna as her own though she was not aware n Krishna was incarnation of Lord Narayan n Krishna himself GOD still ma Yashoda's love care warmth affection for Krishna always touch heart...

sec Subhadra who raise Draupadi's 5 son with Abhimanyu equal love n care ...she give equal motherly love care warmth to 6sons of Pandav

third Radha ma foster mom of Karna though she is not included but still how she raised n give love care karna

then

Kunti though it's controversial about her decision about karna but still from very young age kunti raised madri 2 sons equally with her own 3son so they turn 5pandava ,kunti never bring any different between her 5 son...loved them equally care for them equally

now Ma Devaki she didn't get chance to raise Krishna but it's destiny still her sacrifice for her children ...

Yashodha Maa. She really put up wid all the naughty things Krishna did. It takes a lot of strength to do tht. So my vote does to Yashodha Maa.

So looks like the mother's who bring up other's children as their's gain more respect from many of us.. how difficult is that today

@Ddiala not only that but how they raised n what value they instilled to them also but yes now days it's rare but not impossible as many did it...but from that time it's grt example...

as u might be know many still give example of how good mother should be n give example of them...

Of the list above, only Subhadra, Ganga, Yashoda & Chitrangada did anything of substance. The others either don't come anywhere near, or don't belong in that list in the first place. Gandhari definitely doesn't, and Kunti ought to be disqualified due to Karna. Satyavati didn't have to do squat, but nonetheless, while one son of hers was heroic, the other was mediocre: how big a loser must you be if Bheeshma has to win your brides, and that too by abduction? Similarly, Ambalika & Ambika didn't have to do squat either - both Satyavati & Bheeshma were there to support them. Devaki - my heart goes out to her, but really, aside from watching her sons die and then getting her surviving sons back after they were raised, what did she have to do? Nothing! Even Draupadi - she was an unmatched wife, but the bulk of her sons' life were raised in her absense by either Dhrishtadyumna or Subhadra, so she too was hardly much of a mother.

For Yashoda, the job was somewhat easy, since Krishna started off w/ a good idea of right & wrong - there weren't too many values she had to instill in him. So yeah, while she did the heavy lifting in terms of bringing up Krishna during his childhood, aside from putting up w/ her neighbor complaints, there wasn't much that she had to do.

Ganga & Chitrangada did do a good job raising their sons. To an extent, Chitrangada had the support of Uloopi, while Ganga achieved what she did all alone. Nonetheless, their achievements were comparable - both managed to raise powerful sons.

However, my choice above goes to Subhadra. After giving birth to Abhimanyu, when he was just a few years old, her family had to go into exile, and so she had to take Abhimanyu, and according to some accounts, Draupadi's sons as well, and raise them. She did that well, even if she was well supported in that role by Rukmini, Satyabhama, Mayavati and so on. All their sons did heroically in the one test they had - the war.

After Abhimanyu died, Subhadra's job continued - supporting Uttara both in her grief and after the birth of Parikshit. While Uttara may have primarily raised her, Subhadra would have had a hand in that. Even after the Pandavas retired, Yudisthir made Subhadra the 'regent' for both Indraprastha and Mathura - asking Subhadra to guide both Parikshit & Vajra.

What Subhadra did is like an opening bat carrying her bat through the innings. Starting w/ Abhimanyu, Draupadi's sons, then Uttara, then finally Parikshit & Vajra. By the look of it, her role didn't end until her death. For all that, she stands head & shoulders above everyone else in the above list.

I think from the above list, Gandhari should have been replaced by Uloopi, while Satyavati or Ambika replaced by Karna's Radha. I strongly disagree w/ anyone who voted for Kunti - she was a traitor to her family. staying on in Hastinapur after the Pandava exile and then accompanying Dhritarashtra as though she were his wife. 😡

she was staying with vidur's family not in the palace of hastinapur...also she accompanied dhritarashtra and gandhari as it was time for her also to retire... Apart from abandoning karna ,i do not find any wrong in kunti...she was actually a good mother who fought for her son's right..

^^^ Kunti should have left Hastinapur altogether and gone to Kuntipura or Dwarka. There was nothing for her to retire to, and even if there was, it certainly wasn't alongside Dhritarashtra or Gandhari.
