It depends on what you mean by Mahabharat. I have read translations/ interpretations of C. Rajagopalachari and Devdutt Patnaik more or less from cover to cover. But I haven't read the original text (or its presently available translation) as it is in the same manner. The work of KM Ganguly is exhaustive and loaded with too many details, many of which are simply metaphorical, adjectivial or recounting of myths and legends, so I skip those parts and look for major events to compare with/improve upon what I already know.

i am now reading km ganguli's version. don't know if i'll be able to finish it this century🤔. my first exposure to MB was thru my grandmom who was a brilliant narrator & got me used to the epic. i must hav been 3 or something but i fell in love with Karna right there. watched the movie karnan in which the legendary shivaji ganeshan essayed the iconic role.then amarchitrakatha, BRC'S MB, i read a version of MB thru the point of view of draupadi as well, forgot the author's name. also read the Malayalam version of Shivaji Sawant's Mrityunjaya/MB thru the eyes of Karna ⭐️. read many blogs about the epic as well.
