Experiment :Women in those days were not allowed to marry men of lower cast.

Observation: karna was widely known as a suta-putra. He was not even a suta.
Draupadi was born to a kashtriya.

Result: yeah. Now even i wonder why draupadi refused to marry karna. It is not like woman were not free to marry whoever they wanted while totally disregarding the cast system.
Oh wait, it was actually just like that.Sorry.Tough luck.

So krishna said that no man alone could defeat karna.Obviously.He was one of the greatest warriors of his time.
Go read all the 18 chapters in MB and tell me exactly how many times did krishna say that arjuna is undefeatable? Umm maybe 100 aur 1000s of times.
So if krishnas words are the ultimate truth in case of karna, then the same will be true for arjuna.
Karna fought the gandharvas and rescued duryodhana.Right? Oh sorry.No.
It was arjuna.
karna fought the gandharvas and fled.I REPEATFLED
I rest my case

@medha

Calm down we aren't fighting here.

It is quite obvious that the story of Karna in Mahabharat is a moral tale of how even the greatest warriors will be defeated if they leave Dharma.

Krishna knew that without his help Arjuna wont be able to kill Karna ,

the Karna vs Arjuna battle was likely to be the battle till death.
So before the their duel each has to be warned about his opponents while karna already knew what arjuna is capable of on the other hand arjuna was over-confident then was the time when Krishna alarmed Arjuna that karna is the foremost of heroes and will only be killed because he is supporting adharma. Bhishma too said that karna was the greatest archer in the world.

Its obvious that i am a fan of karna and you are a fan of Arjuna so arguments are bound to happen but you talk like you have read the ved vyas's version of Mahabharata thats what annoys me, present your point but dont present it in a way that Ved Vyas himself narrated you the original mahabharata.

The points i write have been researched from various sites and are presented here , there are many alternate versions of Mahabharata each having different scenarios depending upon the mood of the translator.

@medha00 - what's the need of bringing Karna in b/w this topic?? The topic is related to Arjun & his skills. And you are making it a debate b/w Karna and Arjun. And please, don't compare them with each other. Both were great in their own ways. Karna was this Karna was that.."blah blah..and Arjun was "dhoodh ka dhula", etc. 🤢

@thewatcher you have commented on this thread before. While i did not agree with your comments.Did i try to correct you by pointing out anything which i do not agree with?NO.
The post maker asked me something and i wanted to answer. So i did.Did you try to correct me by pointing out the things you do not agree with.YES
Yeah.
So.
Who is exactly picking up a fight here, clearly not me.
Everyone around here acts like ved vyas had a cup of coffee while discussing mahabharata with them.SO I GUESS I CAN DO THAT TOO

Obviously I tried to correct you because the things you wrote were not acceptable and moreover it didnt seem like you are praising Arjuna it felt that like you are insulting and degrading Karna . I praised both of the warriors in my post i didn't put anyone down whereas you did put karna down.

ya some people act like ved vyasa in forum but that doesnt mean that you can too if you believe in "monkey see monkey do" then its okay . ( Dont take this example as an offense its just an example i couldnt think of any other example).

And correct me if i am wrong but contents on sites and semi-autobiography books are written by people like us too.
And as far as i know, people translate original MB written by vyas in various languagesor retell it with their own point of view.Original MB is read and taught in every hindu household.
The variations are simply that ... VARIATIONS.Too bad that when it comes to karna, every variation and retellings are valid but people here are hypocritical enough to bash anyone doing the same for arjuna.

no one going disrespect Karna
but here few already start using spl word for Arjuna...
here ppl stated wht karna did n what arjuna did...but
who is doodh ka dhoola who is not this things r unnecessary

And obviously i did NOT try to correct you because i couldnt care enough about what you think.
Eventhough what you wrote is not accaptable to me and many people.

Too bad you couldnt think twice before offending others, but someone else saying something different to what you think gets on your nerve and offends you enough that you couldnt help but try and CORRECT me. Even though neither i nor the post maker even asked you for your valuable comment.
