Karna is the most intriguing thing about the Mahabharata, because of existential complications that placed him neither here nor there, he was forever battling with his identity, to whom did he belong, where was he heading to, he was a self-made man through and through against all obstacles that threatened to quash the path towards his goal, and thus he holds the most appeal for many people who draw inspiration from this quality of his because he simply stood by his word, unrelenting in his quest and never gave up.

Karna .. no one comes near to his greatness & velour

He wasn't Pandav, he was Kaunteya ... But throughout his life he called himself as Radheya

Actually according to Ved, a woman's all children are considered her first husband's chidren.
I read this in this forum. Gandhari was first married to a donkey so Bheem teased Duryodhan that his father is a donkey so when Dhrirtrashtra came to know of this then he threw entire family of Gandhari shakuni included, inside a jail and would give them just one grain of rice for the entire day.

Gradually, the whole family died due to hunger as they used to give their grains to Shakuni so that he could live and take revenge from Bheeshm and Dhritrashtra.

So that way Karn is also a Pandav well I have no idea why he was never considered before to be a Pandav. As for Karn being a Radhey, he would always be Radhey before Kunti just like Shri Krishnji is Yoashoda maiyaa's son first then Devki nandan. But both Shri Krishn and Bheeshm called Karn Kauntey too when they went to speak to him about not fighting this war.

In this Mahabharat nobody is my favorite. But in original Mahabharat I love and respect everyone. No matter how many sins or mistakes one did. 😃😊😆

But I am looking forward to SRJ's performance as I admire him greatly as Vishnuji in DKDM. But frankly, after watching this so far, I am a lot apprehensive. 😕

Karna was never a Pandava. The Pandavas got their names for being the sons of Pandu, but Karna was never considered a son of Pandu since he was born before Kunti's marriage. At the most, he can be called Kaunteya (son of Kunti) but definitely not a Pandava.

Karna...he was the best of them all..
