True. In the end, when the Mahabharata war is over, Lord Krishna asks Kunti as to what boon she wanted. Kunti says that the only boon she wanted was more pain, trouble and suffering... as it was only during these times that she remembered the Lord.

I agree but i think Gandhari suffered the most married a weakk and unjust blind king, blindfolded herself for patni dharam and in return got unrighteous sons who were all killed. Not a single moment of happiness in her life.Atleast kunti had the love and respect of her sons, she could be proud of them

Well in kunti's defense she asked all 5 brothers to marry her becuase she wanted to maintain unity between her sons she had an idea of harships they were going to face and wanted them to be united for that. And whatever happened to draupadi was wrong but even draupadi had a part to play in it so cant blame kunti

well agree with you completely except the part of madri taunting kunti. that was just a crap exaggeration of this show. actually even kunti was jealous of madri and was reluctant to share the mantra with her. it was only when pandu wanted more kids after arjun so kunti had no option to share the mantra with madri as she had already been involved with 4 men and then getting invloved with the fifth would qualify her as a prostitute according to the norms of those days.
kunti wanted to share the mantra with madri only once so that madri doesnt have more kids and the rights of her own three kids are not put in jeopardy. madri deceived her equally by calling 2 twin gods in 1 mantra itself and having 2 sons. so in a way both kunti and madri played politics with each other.
1 more questionable act of hers is with draupadi. after arjun she didnt want to have more kids as that would be her 5th child since karna was her first and having kids from 5 different men would give her the title of a prostitute. she saved herself from that title but let her bahu to be shared by her five sons and draupadi got the title of a prostitute. thats why during the vastraharan bheeshma or anyone else couldnt do anything for draupadi's sake due to karna's counter arguments.

ya agreed...
i dont know dat much of madri n kunti...but my frnd was saying dat kunti was busy in some work n arjun came n said dat he has someyhing 2 show u...dat tym he was willing 2 show draupadi n she said u all five share it...

Mahabharath as an epic shows people living through the hardships and distress and the way they react to the different circumstances.. It tells us that the way we do our Karma today will be the defining factor of what happens if we do have another birth.

Mahabharath had a lot of characters in it who suffered one way or the other. At certain junctures we would not be able to actually declare that someone suffered the most.. Kunthi suffered and she suffered for long.. So did Gandhari, so did Draupadi and Subhathra..

All these women and men suffered for their and their dear ones actions and inactions. It was not all sorrow and neither was it all happiness in their lives. That is what MB teaches us, that life will not be the same all through. There are highs and lows and the way we react at those times define the kind of person we are.😊 Kunthi proved herself to be a strong and mature person throughout. She fought for her children and she stayed strong for them.

No. She had asked for 5 qualities but had not specifically mentioned that she wanted all these qualities in one man. If history has taught us anything, what you ask needs to be precise and without loopholes... else a boon turns into a bane :D
