My grandfather had told me stories and narrated a story how Duryodhan's real name is Suyodhan. In the end when he was hiding and Bheem was calling him out, he called out and said, don't call me Duryodhan, my name is Suyodhan!
"he is actually named as suyodhan which means a great warrior, he changed his name to duryodhan which means impossible to conquer, many people have misconception that he is been called as duryodhan because of his misdeeds"

Yup his name was Suyodhan and later became Duryodhan.

Sometimes I wonder if Duhshasan's name was Suhshasan.

In Ekta Kapoor's Mahabharat they had shown that Duryodhan did not always hate Pandavas from beginning infact he treated them with love. It was after Shakuni created some misunderstandings he started hating them and then he changed his name from Suyodhan to Duryodhan

Ekta's Mahabharat was great in portraying the facts properly, which this one lacks a lot, for example why was Dhrit blind, and Pandu was weak and pale, which was shown completely different here, even Bhisma's birth and Ganga-Shantanu marriage was completely omitted! However, too much dramatization, loud background music and all killed the interest. Anyways, past is past, 😆 .
