i expected to show them the flshbacks when bhisma entered...but they didn't...it was good scene...it would hav explained about 8 vasus and all...about Ganga's conditions too...i m a great fan of her conditions...not to be questioned about her actions...in oriya we hav this saying Ganga kahile rahibi, Gangi kahile jibi...means if u respect me (call me Ganga) i'll stay and if u disrepect me (call me Gangi i'll go)...

I too wanted to see Shantanu-Ganga love story. they edited that part. Its an imp part. What's the point of that golden fish. Satyavati's claim that her sons deserve to be the king and that she did not wish to be a maid to the throne were quite enough to showcase her ambitious nature.

Shantanu Ganga story is a very important story of Mahabharata. Omitting it takes away the exact portrayal of a love deprived shantanu who loved Ganga very much and had to part ways just to prevent her from drowning one more of his offspring, it projects him here as a selfish who lusts after a woman half the age of his son. And moreover I agree the golden fish took away some time but I guess its because it was sayantani ghosh. If that's the case get ready for a over dose of princess amba also to be played by ratan Rajput.

I dont think so they will show it because its only for 6 months and they will be cutting many scenes i guess

Is it only for 6 months?

They have epic in their hands and it is only for 6 months and good-for-nothing things keep dragging forever

Can't blame them really, the production cost is too high for mythological shows. I know you would bring in Devon ka Dev, example. The old Mahabharata ran for nearly 90 weeks with episode time 45 mins per week. 6 months would have approx 120 episodes with 20 mins airing time. Yes looks insufficient, lets wait and see, they have shot a lot, given the fact that ratan after doing cameo of amba has gone to big boss.

Yes, the vasu story and Ganga's conditions are the one of the most important parts of the story! Really sad about it! Infact, they have shown Ganga so glorious and beautiful that their love story would have been more awesome to watch!

Ya! The golden fish scene was not needed! I think they gave too much importance to Satyavati than needed!
