drona seemed like a strong character .. it showed tht he has been burnt by humiliation for being poor ..
but they draggin this bheem murder a little long ... i want this track to move quicker .. it is highly dramatized ..

The latest story distortions are even more outrageous - where does one start?

For one, since when did Dritarashtra ignore everything just so that his sons could be pampered? Like him scolding Bheeshma for punishing Duryodhan, or him not wanting the Kauravas to be sent away to an ashram? Also, Dritarashtra never put on Drona a condition that only Kuru princes could be taught, and nor was that even the case - when Drona was made senapati, it was pointed out how he was the guru of most princes in the battlefield.

The conversation b/w Kripa & Drona was surreal - both of them were on the same page, and a brother would never tell his sister's husband what Kripa told Drona - that's just unfathomable. Kripa asked Drona how long would his son have water as fake milk? In reality, after Drona left Drupada, he returned to Kripa, who was his brother in law, and Kripa got him the job as the guru of the Kuru princes.

All in all, Drona never had any issues w/ Dritarashtra or the Kurus - it was pretty smooth sailing for him. Nor did the Kurus mind him carrying his grudge against Drupada and using their princes to get his revenge.

I know they want to dramatize things, but this one is absolutely ridiculous.

OTOH, I liked how they showed the poisoning of Bhima. Only, there was no Shakuni here, and Duryodhan had no remorse about seeing Bhima dead, as they initially showed. But the underwater effects were awesome!!!

Drona is living upto his character. It was awesome to see the steely resolve, the pride and the confidence about his own abilities and skills to say No to maybe the most powerful king in those times.

This interpretation would lead its way to the steely resolve that Drona would have when he trains Arjun to become the greatest Archer in the world. This will also make it believable when it is shown that Drona would ask Eklavya for his right thumb.

Loved how Drona said that a Guru chooses who he teaches and not vice versa. It is very true. A student would not have the necessary knowledge nor the intellect to choose the right guru..

But I agree with Vrish that Drona and Kripa's equation was not the way it has been portrayed. Kripa was very supportive of his sister's husband and felt for him. He understood Drona's anger but as the Kul Guru of the Kuru clan, he did not and would not directly do anything because it was not his place.

Kripa never criticized Drona and it was Drona himself who felt ashamed and depressed that he was unable to provide for his son and his wife. ..

The scenes of poisoning Bheema was alright. I felt it was too long and drawn out unnecessarily. It was heartening though to see Bheeshma and Vidur order an extensive search for the missing child.

Kunthi's distress was well done.. And so was Dhridrashtra's arrogance about his sons. But I do not know if he was this rude to Drona. Is it just the way this has been interpreted?

Nagraj Vasuki looked like an alien 😆, the scene was somewhat similar to the underwater alien world frm the movie - the abyss. But I liked it bheem - vasuki convo. Best was Bhishma's pose to Shakuni (hands on waists 🤣) and the reactions of Shakni and Duryo. Lets see wat Dhrits' reaction would b 2morrow !😉
