I def agree with almost everything u picked up on except Pandu actor as being great looking(!)
Indeed, its unbelievable to have Arjuna already with that much skill and accuracy, which renders the whole idea of practice leading to perfection redundant, certainly it was via rigourous practice, steadfast determination, perseverance and resolve that moulded Arjuna into the finest archer. Suggesting that the lad was born with it is ridiculous, its practice that makes perfect and Arjuna attained perfection after years of learning and practice, it did not just arrive instantly. I found the scene of intro rather contrived much like Kauravas intro, but do enjoy the teasing and closeness shared by the bros.
Nice point made connecting Bhimas birth and death.

Not just Bhima's, but Karna's as well. His chariot wheel sinks, & he pulls it out.

You are right about Arjun - had he been born w/ it, where would have been the need for Drona? As it is, he got divyastras from Indra & Shiva during his exile, & combined w/ what he's doing now, it should make him invincible. Like you said, he got where he became due to an untiring obsession w/ his practice - had Bhima or Nakul or anyone else been as dedicated, they'd have been champions like Arjun as well. The only one who came close to him, albeit in a different discipline, was Duryodhan in mace fighting.

One thing I wasn't too thrilled about - I'd have liked them to have shown more of Pandu w/ all his kids. He was shown just giving Yudhisthir some lessons on ruling. But instead of the market scenes & scene w/ Karna, since Pandu is about to die, whereas Dhritarashtra will remain around, they should have filled up Wednesday-Friday w/ Pandava family moments - Pandu w/ all his kids, all the kids playing. Oh, and make Arjun more believable - somehow no serial seems to capture him right. In DBSK, he looked like someone on anti-depressants, and here, he looks like a magician.

So Yudhisthir managed to teach ANS not to snatch laddoos from Bhima? Good start. Nice that Bhima is so generous here. I also think this is the last time we might see a happy Bhima, since next week onwards, w/ the Kauravas, he'll see their hatred first hand and they, rather than ANS, will be @ his receiving end. Can't wait to see him bully them 😈

@ vrish
Of course with Karna, the irony was loud n clear but it didn't cross my mind to link the fall of Bhima with his birth, so well pointed out.
In BR Mahabharat ther was no scene to show time spent with their father so it felt as if they never knew him, and had a non existent relationship. Somehow by not showing him too much with the kids they are already hinting @ and preparing for the void that will enter from his absence into their lives. The little time they had together therefore was perhaps that more special. As they wer v young, Pandu was prob only a vague memory for them as well as Madri thereafter.
I agree the Karna scenes should be more restrained, he was a figure of mystery, an enigma whom not even Duryodhan could figure out., the Bheeshma scene with him was unncessary, its Drona who rejects him to teach him as his pupil. Needless to say the kauravs intro was overdone.

A serial that ran on Imagine TV about Krishna's adult life, starting w/ his battle against Kalyavan. It started out well, but after their brief Mahabharata track, they dovetailed into pure fiction, and were just unwatchable.

The scene between Bhishma and Shakuni was mindblowing 😛

I couldn't control my laughter seeing Shakuni reversing his steps while Mahamahim was approaching with killing sight 😆
And the points he uttered while playing the game with the background tune on...wow!

That was an amazing scene! his responses were good! I loved when he made dice into dust! I personally think that symbolises that Bheeshma is above all these conspiracies and wont stand it, its like a watch out Shakuni, I made the dice into powder, you are next 😆
