I like Sudesh Berry as Drupada. Incidentally, anybody know who played Drupada for the 5 minutes that they showed the birth of Shikhandini, when Prishatha & Drupada were both there?

Shikha looks fine as Shikhandini, but won't be as Shikhandi! For that, I hope they pick a normal male actor. After all, the whole mystery behind Shikhandi in the war was that while the Pandavas had no qualms about him being one of their commanders, and the Kauravas had no qualms about fighting him, Bheeshma alone refused to fight him not b'cos of his past life as Amba, as is sometimes portrayed, but rather b'cos he was born as Shikhandini. That's what became Bheeshma's undoing in this battle.

did you know at ramanand sagar's shri krishna, an actress played the role of shikhandi while wearing a fake mushtache? agar yahaan wahi hotaa hain toh kya hogaa?

I remember seeing that, and it was too funny a depiction. There is no way Shikhandi would have been a commander of an akshauni, had he actually been like that.

Too many get the Shikhandi angle wrong!

Can people make siggies of the Panchalas defeating the Kauravas? Too bad Shikhandini lost to Duryodhan, or else, I'd have wanted that as well 😆

She is damn good...😆 matches Drupad side by side...Incidentally did Drupad knew about Shikhandi's purpose of birth from the beginning...

I have a question. Was Shikhandi called Shikhandini in the text also, before she became a man? I thought her/his name was always Shikhandi.

Surprisingly I read that Drupad wanted a son who will slay Bhishma 😲.. I think this is because he was ashamed of not being able to help Amba earlier though yet to find the supporting text..

As Lord Shiva had already informed Drupad about the later sex change, when the girl is born, his queen says that its a boy and Drupad declares to the world so and names him Sikhandin. All world knows here by this name alone. However the text also says that she has the secret name of Sikhandini which is known by her parents alone. So she had the names Sikhandin and Sikhandini when she was a female.. And Sikhandin after sex change.. I don't see Shikhandi anywhere 🤢
