It's impossible to feel disgusted by this sort of Duryodhan, can't help admiring his manly beauty and gorgeous face. The Kauravas in general have a sexy appeal that's really not appropriate.
Thanks to all u guys, really, big thanku, - I have ordered the book to feed my curiousity about the Kauravas angle of the story, the idea is intriguing in itself that you r impelled.to rethink the construction of Mahabharata history based solely on one form that leaves open vacuums in which things go unexpressed, questions go unanswered, an obscurity of character, the story of the forgotten and the attempt by the author to raise such a question to the surface, to contrapose the notions of the past by offering light onto the other story..thanks again for bringing the book to attention paanchali, I certainly look forward to immersing myself within its pages.

That's been my comment all along - Dushashan looks repulsive, but not Duryodhan. Drona comes off as a real jerk, Bheeshma is portrayed well. Ashwatthama's characterization is totally confused. Shakuni does well in being revulsive, but Dhritarashtra is only now looking true to character - the earlier beardless episodes of him were jokes. Gandhari seems to be evolving into someone more bitter, which is good.
