He was killed by Ashwathama on 18th night.

Q: Kritavarma survived the Mahabharata war. How was he later killed?

By Satyaki, during the Yadava fratricide.
Everyone was drunk, and Satyaki abused Kritavarma for being the only kshatriya to participate in that midnight massacre of Ashwatthama's. Kritavarma brought up Bhoorishrava's killing, Satyaki brought up the murder of Satyabhama's father, and the arguments escalated. Satyaki then got livid, got up, drew his sword & beheaded Kritavarma.

That's what started the fratricide. Minutes later, Satyaki and Pradhyumna too were dead, and following that, the rest of the fratricide that killed all of Krishna's sons & grandsons.

Next question

How many sons did Karna have, and who killed them?

Krishna finished his avatar on Earth (for obvious reasons, I don't like to use the word 'died' ) at a place called Prabhasa Tirtha.

It was submerged 7 days later along with Dwaraka. It does not exist anymore- but it should have existed somewhere along the present -day Saurashtra coast in Gujarat.

The last moments of Lord Krishna on Earth is beautifully described in Srimad Bhagavatham. I will elaborate some day.

I was listening to a Bhaagwat Katha done by a certain person and the way they described it, oh my God, it made you so sad or cry, because it talked about how Arjuna had gone to Dwarka on Yuddhister's request as he thought that something terrible had happened (he was right, Shri Krishna had left earth), and it was described that Arjuna was not able to protect the Yadu women from looters, instead the looters took his Gandiva! He said the city was in ruin and now submerged in the ocean. So sad!!😭

The looters didn't snatch his Gandhiva. I'll narrate the Mahabharata account here - the SB one is different.

What happened was that 7 days after the Shradh of Krishna & the rest, Arjun learnt that Dwarka would get submerged in the sea, so he decided to evacuate all the survivors. He took all the womenfolk - Krishna's wives, daughters, as well as the surviving sons of all Vrihnis & Andhakas. On the way, they were attacked by bandits (thought to be ancestors of the Bhils of medieval Rajputana) who set about looting them of their wealth & women.

Arjun took his Gandhiva, but this time, like Karna, he couldn't remember any of the mantras associated w/ launching divine weapons. So he then shot his ordinary arrows, but unlike in the past, when his quiver would never get empty of arrows, this time, it did. Once it was empty, he could just watch as the dacoits looted their treasures and also kidnapped all the Yadava girls they could find, and escaped w/ them.

Also, this didn't happen anywhere near Dwarka - it happened somewhere in Rajputana. After that, Arjun took the Andhakas & left them in Martikavat, where Kritavarma's son Bali & Krishna's daughter Charumati were made king & queen of that place. At another place near the Saraswati river, Arjun crowned a young son of Satyaki - Asanga - as the rulers of the Satwattas. Finally, at Indraprastha, he crowned Vajra as the ruler of the Vrishnis.

Following that coronation, Rukmini and some of the other 7 queens committed sati, while the others retired to the Himalayas. The 16,100 wives that Krishna had from Narakasura all drowned themselves in the Saraswati river. Following all that, Arjun returned to Yudhisthir, and the Pandavas crowned Parikshit as the ruler of the Pandava kingdom, and Yudhisthir left Subhadra in charge of both Parikshit & Vajra.

Following Yudhisthir's abdication, the Pandavas made a pilgrimage to Dwarka, and there, Arjun returned the Gandhiva to Varuna. They then visited Prabhasha and paid homage to Krishna & all the dead there. Following that, they embarked on the Swargarohan yatra, where everybody except Yudhisthir died along the way.

There are some fringe stories about how he married Balarama's daughter Vatsala w/ Ghatotkacha's help after Balarama was planning to give her to Duryodhan's son Lakshmana. But there is nothing in either Mahabharata or SB that supports that. Nor is there anything that suggests that Balarama had any daughters - only Krishna did.

Yudhisthir - Kanka
Bhima - Ballava
Arjun - Brihannala
Nakul - Dharmagranthi
Sahadev - Tantripala

Draupadi - Sairandhri

Not that Dwarka 😆🤣 Krishna's Dwarka was located at the southern tip off the Saurashtra coast. South West Delhi's Dwarka would have come under Indraprastha at the time.

Next question: By whom was Arjuna killed ?

Arjuna was killed by his son Babhruvahana, who was born out of the Pandava's marriage to Chitrangada, the princess of Manipur.
Arjuna's death in the battle is also attributed to the curse of the Ashta-Vasus. The Vasus, enraged by Arjuna's deceptive tactic of using Shikandi as a shield to kill Bhishma (an incarnation of one of the eight Vasus), curse Arjuna that he would be slain by his own son. This curse comes to pass during the battle between Arjuna and Babruvahana.
