"I just can't live with an egoist like him.. Ego rule over him... Other's feelings are nothing for him...he always want to satisfy his ego.. I always gave up before him...but when it comes to my family.. I just couldn't control.. "madhu said & let out a soft gasp..

Past (a month before)
"ridhu wake up... "madhu pokes a sleeping ridhu to wake her up..
"mm.. Today Sunday na.. Let me sleep.. "ridhu groaned lazily turning to other side..
"u r such a sleepy head like ur papa.. "she said with a frown..
"did u called me biwi..??"rk who was brushing poked out from the washroom hearing madhu.. He closed the washroom door & went near her..
"y u r troubling my kid..??"he asks by sitting near ridhu on the bed..
"don't u have work today Mr. Workaholic..?? "she asks with a mocking smile..
"no dear wife.. I am on leave today... "she says taking ridhu on his lap..
"oh my god.. Am I hearing this from you..?? "she asks exclaimed..
"yep.. "he said with a smile.."OK.. What's was that..??"
"what..??"she asks confused...
"u called me something na.. What was that.. Ha.. Sleepy head.. "
"r u really a sleepy head papa..??"ridhu asks him...
"if I was a sleepy head then how u born darling..i loss my sleep for that na.. "he said looking ridhu which made madhu's jaw cling open..
"means..??"poor little soul didn't get anything..
"shut up rk.. "madhu said annoying..
"what's it papa.. "ridhu asks by making a puppy face...
"it's nothing.. "he said with a smirk...
"no.. U r lying what's it papa..??"she asks making faces..
"no.. I just said to tease your ma.. "he says & chuckled seeing madhu pounding...
"but.. "when she was about to say something madhu interrupted her..
"come... Want to brush ur teeth na.. "she says & lift her in her arms & headed to washroom not before giving a sharp glare at rk...
After an hour
"madhu... Go & get ready.. We r going for an outing today... "rk says & ridhu's face lit up hearing him..
"really papa.."she fidgeted inside madhu's arms..
"yep.. "he said with a smile..
Madhu made ridhu ready for the outing & starts getting ready for herself..
Ring-Ring
Madhu looked at her phone's screen..it shows an unknown number..she picked the call..
"hello.. Who is this...??"
"hello madhu..."came reply from the other end which made her heart skip a beat.. She couldn't control her breathing..she was breathing heavily to gain strength..
"M.. A.. "she called with broken voice which is filled with different emotions...
"how r u..?"asks her softly but she was unable utter any than sobbing silently..ridhu looks her crying mother confused..
"what happened ma..??"ridhu asks her concerned which padmini heard from the other end..
"is it ur daughter.. ??"madhu hummed in her question...
"can I talk...??"
Madhu smiles wiping her tears.. She is hearing her Ma's voice after a long period..
She was so close to her.. She always used to share her happiness & pain with her..she shed happy tears cherishing those happy moments which she had lost years before..
She gave mobile to ridhu..
"talk.. It's ur dadi.. "madhu said smiling at her..
"dadi..??"she opened her mouth widely hearing the word dadi...she always wished to see her mom's family.. But whenever she asks about it either she divert the topic or be silent on it..& now she is gonna talk with her dadi..a mixed emotion of happiness & excitement appears on her little face..
"hello dadi.."she calls in her baby dainty voice..she continued talking with padmini.. & laughing in between...
"y u r getting late..??"rk came there & saw ridhu happily talking with someone in phone..
"who is it..??"he asks looking madhu who is standing there totally amused..
"Rk.. Ma.. "
"MA..??"she asks like she had spelled out something weird..
"yes... My.. My ma.. "she notices the change in his face hearing it but she didn't wants to believe that he didn't like her mother called her..
"Rk.. What happened..?? "she asks him suspiciously..
"nothing .. "he left from there silently..
"ma.. "her gaze broke from him when she hears ridhu's voice..
"dadi said give phone to u.. "she says & gave phone back to madhu..
"ha ma.. "
"madhu... Ur papa want to meet u both & ur daughter.. "padmini says making madhu smile more brighter..
"but papa.. "
"forget everything that happened in past madhu.. He changed a lot.. He is feeling guilty for his deeds now...& his health condition is not good.. So we can't come there..pls..r u still angry with us.. ??"Padmini asks her with quivering voice..
"no ma.. Y r u taking like this..??I can't be angry with u.. & v r at fault..v will surely come.."she ended with a smile..
"& say rishab that ur papa want to meet him specially.. He want to apologize to him for insulting him that day.. "
"v won't come if u talk like this again.. V done mistake then what's the need of sorry from ur side..??"she sweetly spoke..
"v will be waiting for u.. "padmini said & disconnects the call.. Madhu went hall & finds rk is sitting on the sofa by scrolling on his mobile screen..
"Rk .."she called...
"hm.. "he just hummed still gazing on the screen..
"ma said they want to meet us.. "
"us..??"withdrew his eyes from the screen & looks her..
"yes...they r ready to forgive us..."
"I have restriction from entering ur home.. "he said calmly but yet something was there in his voice..
"forget it rk... They changed a lot.. & v r at fault too.. "madhu says & went near him to watch his reaction closely..
"I didn't done anything wrong..."
"I didn't meant that... "
"do u think u done a mistake by coming with me that day.. "he asks raising his eyebrows..
"never.. Y u r thinking like this...??I meant they are my parents na... I can't hurt them more.. Pls.. "she said pleading with her eyes..
"they are or they were... Don't u know what ur father had said that day..??u came with me after breaking all relation with ur family na.."
"rk...it's past.. "
"past have a great influence in present madhu.. "he said in a crisp tone..madhu lowered her head.. She can't fight with him.. He is too stubborn..
"I won't stop u.. U can go.. "she was about to leave but stops hearing him..
"I never stopped u from anything & never will.. "he said looking her"u can go to ur home tomorrow itself if u want.. "
"won't u come with us.. "she said holding her breath waiting for his reply..
"I promised ur father that I will take care of u until my last breath & I promised myself that I will be with u always.. "he said smiling at her... She released the breath which she was holding in her lungs in relief...
"v will go tomorrow.. Ok.. "
"thank you.. "she said & hugs him..
The next day after a long drive of 3 hours they reached madhu's home by afternoon..she stepped out of the car & saw her family who were waiting for them..& she saw a new face too.. It may be agni's husband.. She heard that she got married 2 year before & her husband is a doctor..
"madhu.. "padmini went near her & gave her a motherly hug.. Then her eyes fell on ridhu who is in rk's arms.. She gestured him to come..He went near them & padmini took her from his hands...she kissed on her forehead & ridhu kissed on her cheeks..
"hai... I am Dr. Abhay kapoor.. "agni's husband went near him & greets him..
"Rishab kundra.. "then shook their hands..
"come.. Papa is waiting for u inside.. "padmini says & all followed her except rk.. Padmini notice him standing there still..
"come rishab.. "padmini calls him smiling..
"madhu... You spend quality time with ur family.. I booked a room in a near by hotel..."he said calmly..her smile fades hearing him.. What he meant..??he he gonna stay away from them...is he indirectly revenging them..?? No he can't.. Her heart says but her brain opposed it..
"that I have some works..it's important..& want to go back tmr itself.. I will come to pick u up after 2 days.. "he smiled at them..madhu went near him..
"rk pls don't create a scene here.. "she whispered to him...
"madhu...if u want I will come tmr.. But can't stay here.. Hope u understand.."his Words made tears form in her eyes..he get inside the car & drove off..
Madhu turns back & looks at her mother who is smiling faintly..
"ma.. It's..u don't know how much busy he is.. His job is like that... He will come tmr for sure.. "she tried to say normally but her voice faltered in between..
"it's.. It's ok madhu.. V can understand it..come.. "padmini says & madhu went inside with her..
They went to Malik's room & madhu found Malik on bed smiling at her warmly...
"come..."Malik calls her but she didn't had enough courage to face him..
"come madhu... "he again calls her & she stepped inside..
"r u angry with me..?? "he asks her in return he nodded her head in no with tears in her eyes..
"y r u crying.. I don't want u to cry.. Wipe ur tears...Shamseer Malik's daughter should be strong like him.. "he said & madhu wipes her tears & smiled..
"I.. I am sorry papa.. "she said lowering her head..
"no madhu...y u r saying sorry... U were right.. Rishab is really a nice man who is apt for u.. He kept his promise na...b/w where is he..?? "Malik asks her by looking both sides for rk..
"vo.. Papa.. He.. He will come tomorrow.. He have some.. Works.. "she stammered looking here & there without facing him..
"is he still angry with me..?? "Malik asks her..
"no papa.. I said na.. He will come tomorrow.. "madhu said..
"madhu.. I want to talk to him.. "he said her.. She nods & dialed his number..
"hello madhu.. What's the matter..?? "rk voice came from the other end..
"it's me rishab.. "rk didn't took much time to get who own that voice..
"Malik sir .."
"not Sir..papa... "Malik corrects him "r u still angry with me..?? I am sorry for my past deeds..i want to see my daughter with her family.. "
"no need of sorry papa.. I have some works.. I will surely come tomorrow after completing it.."rk said mannerly..
"I believe u.. I know u won't break anyone's trust.. "he said..
"I will surely come.. "he said & cuts the call.. Madhu felt bad..for the first time she is coming to her home after marriage.. & the absence of her husband hurts her a lot..now he agreed to come that means did he wanted her father to say sorry to him..?? To satisfy his cheap ego..minutes & hours passed welcoming the murk...madhu went to Malik's room to wish him good night but the sight before her made her startled..malik is wincing in pain by clutching his chest..
"papa.. "she cried holding him calls other family members for help.. Abhay was not there as he have night shift at hospital & Agni can't travel as she is 7 months pregnant..the hospital is 3 km away from the place..she called rk but he didn't picks the call as his phone was on silent mode then...
Next morning rk came to madhu's home but door was locked so he enquired about it to one of the neighbors & come to know about Malik's Condition...he drove to hospital & went to ICU section.. He found all Malik's there including abhay..he looks at the lifeless madhu who is sitting there totally shattered..he looks all confused..abhay went near him..
"it was a cardiac arrest.. We couldn't save him.. "his words made him completely shocked..his heart ached...don't know y but he felt guilty.. He couldn't do anything than silently watch a devastated madhu...
After a week
Throughout this whole one week she didn't talked to him.. She behaved strangely with him like punishing him for something.. Losing his control he decided to talk to her about this.. About her silence..
"madhu r u revenging me..??"he asks pissed off..she looks him silently & decided not to answer..
"I am asking u.. "this time his voice is blended with a little anger..
"I know what's ur problem.. But what I had done in that..y r u angry with me..?"he again asks holding her by her shoulders..
"it's all happened bcoz of u only.. "he swatted his hands.."if u were there at time this wouldn't be happened... U know what Dr. Said..??if v were able to reach him hospital before few minutes then this wouldn't be happened.. If u were there at time this wouldn't be happened.. Every thing happened bcoz of u only.. U stayed away from there to satisfy ur cheap ego...u r a egoist..i have to be blamed for everything.. For loving u.. For leaving my family for u.. I done a great mistake by marrying u..."she burst out at him..
"enough..if u feel u did a mistake by marrying me then u can take any decision u want.. If it's separation also I am ok with it.. "he said under the influence of high temper of that moment..
"fine.. V will get divorced.. "she said agitated..
Back to present
"madhu r u mad..??"dips asks unbelievably looking her..."I can understand ur situation but getting divorced is not the solution... "
"no dips.. When I said about divorce he stood there like nothing happened..i am nothing for him than a burden whom he is bearing coz of a knot..."she said taking a long breath.."tomorrow i will shift to my home with ridhu.. Let him enjoy in his own world.. "she said & stood up..
