Hey my lovelies Welcome to this new SS In the Toils of Despair. Okay before beginning this SS I want each and everyone of you to know that this story belongs to my sweet sweet Vampy Seema... she will guide me on taking this story forward...I will be only penning it down in my own words and so all the credit goes to heršš. One more thing...We don't know in how many parts we will be able to complete this story...so i am naming it as a short story.
Thanks a lot Vampy for giving me this opportunity...I hope that i will live up to your expectations.š
Hope you all like this story...here goes the prologue :))
Prologue
"My daughter??" RK said in a completely shocking way. For few minutes he stood like one stupefied, glancing here and there not knowing what to say. He somehow managed to sit on the chair next to him as he felt his legs shaking...for few moments there was a complete silence in the room. After few minutes someone sniffed while crying silently...RK came out of his shock and looked at the lady standing in front of her. She too looked at him with pleading eyes desperately wanting to know his answer. RK stood up and walked towards the window with his back towards the lady...He looked outside the window and after few minutes he asked her "Fine what do you want from me?"
A smile took over her lips as her heavy heart was filled with hope...she wiped her tears and delightfully walked towards RK and stood beside him "Your son RK...He can help in saving my daughter". RK was shocked again,He held her arms in anger "Ouch" She said as it hurt her "How dare you...how could you even think of that?" he growled while pressing her arms. "RK?" she said as her voice strangled. He backed off and turned his back towards her. "She is your daughter...our daughter...and she is dying" she said while she cried "Yes but that doesn't mean that I'll risk my son's life for your daughter" He gave a stern reply. "No no I promise I promise nothing will happen to your son...he will be fine...please RK please save my daughter...she is the only reason that i am still living...and if something happens to her i will die...your son is my last hope RK" she begged him as tears were flowing continuously from her eyes.
Rk looked intp those red puffy eyes which were pleading him to save her daughters life...he broke the eye contact...and clenched his teeth in anger "How many times i have to tell you that i'll not do that" He banged on his table. She was shocked seeing his inhuman reaction on knowing that he has a daughter who is fighting for her life each and every second "How could you be so
cold-hearted RK...she is your..." before she could complete he interrupted "That's it...you may leave now"
Vani was RK and Madhu's symbol of love who was suffering from blood cancer and only had a year to survive. She needed a bone marrow transplant which could only be given by RK's son. Madhu tried every possible way to convince RK but he was adamant and all the hopes which she had with him were broken and shattered. She never thought he could be so cruel.
Madhu didn't say a word more...she took few steps back trying to digest the fact that RK had disagreed to help her saving their daughter's life. She laughed it off...and turned back to leave...when she was about to step outside the door...RK stopped her "Madhu..." Madhu stood there but didn't look back..."If you need any help do tell me" RK said as if he was trying to compensate his mistake. Madhu made a disgusting face...she took a deep breath and turned around and asked him "I need my daughter...can you bring her life back?" RK couldn't say anything and Madhu knew that he didn't have the answer to that "Thanks for your concern Mr. Rishabh Kundra" and after saying this she left from there banging the door.
