In a exhibition match, held at Cooperage Stadium, between MDFA XI and All Star Football Club, the former defeated the latter by seven goals to three.
This match stood for a humanity cause which is founded by Shri Amitabh Bachchan alongside Abhishek Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor.
The MDFA XI was filled with some of the best coach, managers and even players who represented their countries some years back like Steven Dias, Abhishek Yadav and Godfred Pereira. Whereas, All Star Football Club had Bollywood touch like Dino Morea in their outfits. Alongside him, we also witnessed famous faces like Raj Kundra, Karan Wahi, Bhaktiyar who has been seen in many television series in India.
Steven Dias who represented MDFA XI were their player of the match as he fantastically delivered some breath taking football at Cooperage.
Steven scored twice and assisted too for the men in blues. In his second goal, Steven rounds the goalkeeper without much complication and just poked it inside the net with some ease.
For All Stars Football Club, Vivian D'Sena and Nishant Mehra were the top mens. The former scored brace and the latter had one goal to his name.
Both, Vivian and Nishant created numerous chances which kept All Stars hope and morale up for the whole match.Jignesh Antala, All Stars Football Club's goalkeeper also had a fantastic match. Had not for his saves, MDFA XI would have score more than ten goals.
Anthony Fernandes, Abbas Rizwi, Alex Ambrose too had their name on score sheet. The match ended 7-3 in MDFA XI's favour.
It was also reported that due to busy schedules, Bollywood stars like Ranbir Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan missed this event.
Shiv Sena leader and Chairperson of Yuva Sena, Aditya Thackeray, who was the Chief Guest, presented the champions trophy to MDFA XI and the runners up trophy to All Stars Football Club.
