She shifted slightly in her drug induced sleep, and Aniket time travelled back to present. He shuddered at the uncertainty that future held. A lot was at stake now. His relationship with his brother was at stake. Madhu's dignity, if she fails in this project it would give her a major setback as an entrepreneur. It won't be easy to start off anew again. It was either this chance or never. He felt burdened and he needed to carry this burden successfully. He was not a dull blade just that he never cared for business ever. His brother and his life had been a roller coaster ride. He was very young when his father and mother died in one of the most deadly terror attacks ever on an aircraft before 9/11, The Kanishka. He was hardly a year old and RK was nine. Their life had seen the worst of all times in the initial 12 years or till RK took over the small thread industry established by his father. They had been moved from relatives to relatives, none of whom wanted them. RK sold of the fixed assets of the small thread industry he had. He had a degree in chemistry and chemicals practically spoke to him in person. He started with a small salt manufacturing unit on the Kutch area of Gujrat. His business acumen soon saw him foraying into agro and food products. They never saw a financially lean phase again till RK met with an accident and his wife Deepali proved to be nothing more than a gold digger. RK had taken lease of a Diamond mine in Australia just before his accident. It was one of those impulsive ventures that one takes the heat of money and so called love. Arihant still remembered the words RK had spoken to him when he had questioned his decision of leasing a mine that which won't last long. If at all they would be able to mine diamond successfully, the life of the mine itself was short. It was over exploited and the shelf was giving in.

"People gift their wives with Diamonds I have given my Diamond a Diamond mine." He words at that time were not soaked in love but were rather dripping with his ego and false pride. RK and Deepali both valued money or rather loved money and loved flaunting it even more. Such relationships can never bear the brunt of life and it caved in. The tragedy of their parents Death and subsequent situations had created a selfish and self-obsessed. The tragedy of his own accident and the subsequent circumstances converted him into a recluse and a workaholic. He no more flaunted anything and Arihant was quite certain that a lot of his funds were diverted to various charities. RK had never forced or even asked him to join in work. Initially he gave him a generous allowance abd as soon as he decided to marry Deepali he went through with a formal partition of every single movable and immovable asset he had. RK had always been conscientious and never had resorted to wrong means of earning money. He was a self made man. Arihant felt that he owed a lot to RK and hence had given in to the extortion of Aniket. He had decided he would give his hundred percent to this entire plan. Resolving so he also closed his eyes and slept peacefully.

"Were you able to get signature from RK before he left" Roma questioned her husband once they were safely tucked in their bed.

"Yes I did." He winked; I won this bet babes and time for you to give me my prize.

"How did you manage it?" she was least bothered about his prize and more interested in the details.

"Tum aam khao per kyoun gin rahi ho?"

"I need the story leave no details out." She literally commanded.

"You wont let me be would you." Roma obstinately shook her head.

"RK had been discussing about this mine for quite sometime and how Deepali had become a pain in the, you know where?"

"I know the prologue tell me the main chapters." Roma became impatient.

"Either It is my way or shut up" Aniket was not ready to be bullied any further.

"Alright." She said resigning.

"Haan to RK had been discussing this entire issue surrounding his Diamond mine. He actually needed a good law firm to deal with it. When I researched I came across this Law firm Swift and Associates that was doing good work in securing the leases for the clients in mining industries. They were on the top of the tier for solving disputes as well. The problem here is that the RK had already approached them before but unfortunately they had declined to assist him because they were working with Deepali. This all happened quite a few months ago. I started to look for some leverage on the firm or atleast one of the senior partners and I got it pretty soon. It actually landed in my Lap. You recall that All Asia Pacific Games held in India here?"

"I do"

"Haan to in that we had that huge scam that had taken place. There was this entire road and flyover contract given to Australian Construction company. They had finished the entire construction in record time. Had they not done it, It would have been a big shame for the then government. The biggest height here was that the government did not pay the Australian costruction firm the entire amount due. Infact they just paid about 30 percent and disputed on frivolous grounds the remaining seventy percent in the court. Ab Indian Judiciary ka to tumko pata hi hai. Wo puri construction company ke saare employees umra daraz hokar kabar mein ja soyeinge par case nahi khatam hoga. These guys contracted Swift and associates to help them here with the lawyers in India. This entire firm goofed up or rather intentionally did it. They joined hands with the lawyers here and started getting extensions in the court or in other words unnecessarily delaying the case here. I approached them with the evidences and asked them to help us out or I will expose them once in India. This could lead to cancellation of their license as well in Australia. So I finally made them work with RK. I met RK today evening before he left for his white dove's so called engagement and gave him the transfer papers and asked him to sign."

"What and he signed? Even when he knew that such a transfer could potentially ruin Madhu's Career prospects? I cannot believe it."

"Beech mein bolna zaruri h ai?"

"Nahi par."

"Aage boloon?" Aniket casted a raised eyebrow towards her.

"Ok"

"Arihant had drawn up the lease and the transfer papers without the tranferee's name in it. I told RK that since the Swifts were ready to work for us now we need to keep everything in line. Now he was going for his treatment to Switzerland which is not anywhere close to Australia so it would be better if we had the deed drawn and signed up by him before hand. So that when needed only the name of the transferee could be typed in."

"He bought you argument." Roma's eyes appeared even more rounded.

"He had to he is desperate to get rid of it. He trusts me blind folded."

"What if all this back fires?"

"It won't and don't even think about anything negative understood."

"He didn't even ask who possible transferees could be. This is so unlike RK."

"Oh God Tum kyoun journalist nahi bani? He did ask a lot of questions. Read through every single letter to see if we were hiding any fact in the deed. He finally did sign but he did threaten me that if anything goes wrong not only my channel but my entire life would be turned upside down."

"I am really scared."

"Dekho srimati ji I only have one real friend. This friend has been struggling in life for quite some time now. He has only this one last chance at happiness. When he was marrying Deepali I was strictly against it but could not do anything considering it was his personal matter. Now I will do all I can to ensure that he does not misses this last chance. Ab so jao. Kuch nahi hoga have faith in me."

"OK if you say so, but I am not convinced."

" Mera prize?" Before Roma could object Arihant's humongous body had already entrapped her tiny frame.
