Butterflies Part 19

Valentine's day...the whole college was celebrating it.NK was very upset as he was missing Anjali very badly.
RK took Madhu to their secret place.

He opened a box which was filled up with rose petals.He threw it on Madhu.She also threw it back at him.That area was made fragrant by the rose petals.The rose petals spread the fragrance of love.

RK:Last year in the school due to some misunderstandings we were not able to celebrate Valentine's day like we wished.But this time we should compensate it by celebrating our love.

She smiled:Yes.

RK played music.

They danced enjoying their sweet romance.

Years passed.Now they are in the final semester.

Madhu was watching Fashion TV.Suddenly the model in the red gown struck her eyes.
It had red roses on it.

MADHU:Wow!So beautiful.I will stitch a red gown like this for the prom night.RK will be impressed.



Prom night...

Boys wore black suit.Girls were dressed in red.Madhu wore a red gown which has red roses on it.She looked at the earrings and the chain which were kept on the dressing table.

Her earrings and chain were also having artificial red rose.She adorned her ears with those earrings.She looked so glamorous that RK was'nt able to take his eyes off her.Madhu blushed.
She thought:This is what i dreamt of.

They all laughed happily after the dance.
They were drinking soft drinks.Shakti was walking and drinking.By mistake while walking RK's hand hit Shakti's hand and the juice fell on both of them.
RK:Sorry...
Shakti stared at him.
RK:We will go to the washroom and clean our shirt.
Without saying anything after giving a tough look Shakti walked to the washroom.RK went behind him.RK go Saachi's phone call.

S:RK!

RK:Yes Saachi.

S:Please come to the dressing room.I need to talk to you.Very urgent.

RK:Ok,I am on the way to the washroom.Will reach soon.

He cut the call.

On the way to the wash room they heard a cry from the dressing room.They both ran to that room.They were shocked to see Saachi lying on the floor.Her hair and the dress were messy.Her body was bleeding.
They:Saachi.
They ran towards her.RK and Shakti held her each hand.
Sh:Saachi,were you...were you raped?
She closed her eyes and let the tears flow freely.
They were shocked.
RK:Oh God!Who did this?
Saachi opened her eyes.She was trying to say something.But she was not able to say anything.
Sh:Say Saachi.
Saachi:...N...N...NK...
They were shocked.
RK:NK...can't believe it.
Shakti was really angry:I will kill NK.
Suddenly Saachi closed her eyes.
RK:Saachi...Saachi...open your eyes.
Sh:What happened to you Saachi?
RK:She is unconcious.
NK entered the room and was shocked to see the scene.
NK:What's happening here?What happened to Saachi?
Shakti roared and ran towards NK beating him heavily.
NK was shocked.
NK:Why are you beating me?What did i do?
NK was wondering why RK was not saving him from Shakti's lashes.
NK:RK.,...help me...save me...
RK:No...you deserve it.
NK could'nt believe it:RK!
RK:You raped Saachi.
NK was again in shock:What are you saying?You don't trust me?Do you think i will stoop so low?
RK was confused.Suddenly Anjali's crying face came into his mind.
RK:You did a dirty act even during the school days.You made a girl pregnant.
NK:But Anji was my love.But i am not even close to Saachi.I have not betrayed my Anji...i have not raped Saachi.
RK:Then after the dance where did you go?
NK:I just went to the toilet.Just went out for fresh air as i was bored.I was getting bored as Anji was'nt there with me tonight.I as jealous of you all as i was the only one in the gang without a dance partner.
Suddenly RK saw Saachi bleeding heavily.
RK:Shakti...Saachi is bleeding.
Shakti left NK and ran towards Saachi.
RK:I think we need to take her to the hospital.
They both carried Saachi in their arms.
Suddenly the area got crowded.People were looking at them with shock.
Someone said:Shakti and RK raped Saachi and now they are going to hide her somewhere?
They all were shocked.The dragon flies and butterflies cried.
RK:What are you saying?
Shakti:We did'nt rape Saachi.
Someone:No...seeing her itself we can understand that she is a rape victim.
Someone else:Shakti...you are passed out.Then what are you doing in this college?You came here purposefully to molst Saachi.
Sha:No.We just came here to have fun at prom night.That's it.
Principal:Let us take Saachi to the hospital first.
Some students took over Saachi from them and rushed to the hospital.
They attacked RK and Shakti.
RK saw Madhu crying.
RK:Believe me Madhu...
Madhu kept crying.
The police men came and arrested RK and Shakti.While moving towards the jeep NK looked at RK with tears in his eyes:RK!
RK whispered:I did'nt utter your name only because you need to be outside the jail for Anji.Till you marry her you should not be in the jail.Otherwise your wedding won't happen and Anji and her baby will be defamed in the society forever.Only because of that.Otherwise i would not have let a person like you marry the innocent girl Anji.
The police beat him:Walk man...
NK's tears rolled down his cheeks.

RK and Shakti were in the jail.
Sh:I did'nt get a chance to utter NK's name.Why did'nt you tell them his name?You wanted to save your butterfly friend.Right?
RK:No.I have put him out of our team.NK is not a butterfly anymore.I hid the truth only because there is a poor girl waiting for him.
Sh:You also have a girl waiting for you.Then why did you surrender?
RK thought of Madhu's crying face and shed tears.
RK:Madhu's case is different.But Anji...if NK does'nt marry her she will be forced to be a spinster through out her life.Her dreams will be shattered.Her heart will be broken terribly.No one will marry her other than NK.
The police men came inside.
One Police:Because of you both hat poor girl is in coma.
They were shocked.They were beaten heavily by the police men.They were not even able to get up from the floor.
Shakti:Our pain is nothing compared to Saachi's pain.Poor girl.I wish she becomes normal.Once i get out of the jail i will make sure that NK is dead.He destroyed my Saachi.I will not let him have piece of mind.
RK looked at him unbelievingly:You are in love with Saachi?
Sh:I don't know how she had a place in my rough and tough heart.I told her that openly.She told me to live like a normal man first.It was difficult or me to change.
RK:Last few months i have noticed the change in you,Unknowingly you have started changing Shakti.May be because of Saachi.
Shakti did'nt say anything.

Madhu remembered RK and Saachi's rain scene and then RK carrying the bleeding Saachi.Then she remembered RK getting accused of raping Saachi.
