Obsession Part 1

Rishab is excited to see Madhu's name in his mobile.
RISHAB:Wow!Madhu!
He attends the call.
RISHAB:Madhu! I really missed you. I was longing to hear your voice. Thank you so much for calling me.
Madhu's face becomes dull.Madhu becomes upset and guilty.
She thinks:Don't love me like this Rishab.I don't think I will be able to love the way you love me.

MADHU:Rishab...I want to meet you.I want to discuss an important matter with you.

RISHAB:Ok...sure.
Rishab and Madhu meet.Rishab is really happy.
RISHAB:Madhu?

Madhu:According to Panditji, it's the right time for our wedding to take place. I think we should get married this month itself.Even my dad is thinking of that.

Rishab's face blossoms.He is really excited.
RISHAB:Ya...sure.Even I think we should get married soon.I can't wait anymore to make you my wife.

She becomes upset. Madhu tries hard to smile.
She said in her mind:I am sorry Rishab. I am in a hurry to marry you..but not because I love you..but because I want to make Muskaan understand that I am not after Sultan.I am marrying you for clearing Muskaan's misunderstanding.
MADHU:Rishab...that I attended an interview.Right?.I got that job.Tomorrow I have to join the office.
RISHAB:Wow!Congrats.
MADHU:Thanks.

RISHAB:Madhu...tomorow shall we go for lunch together?During your lunch break in the office I will come and pick you up.

Madhu hesitates to give a positive reply.

Rishab understands that.

RISHAB:Please Madhu...we are getting married this month.Still you are hesitating to come with me?

Madhu is not able to say no' seeing Rishab sad.

MADHU:Ok...I will come.

He becomes very happy:I am so happy.I can't wait till tomorrow.

MADHU:Ok then bye.
RISHAB:Bye.
Madhu goes away.Rishab was very happy.

Madhu goes near Muskaan.Muskaan loses her control.She bursts out.
Mus: How dare you come here after cheating me?I told you to get out of my house.Why did you come here?I told you to get lost.Oh!You must have come to see Sultan. You can't live without seeing Sultan?

Muskaan is in tears.

Mus:Why don't you understand that Sultan is my husband now?Only mine.

Madhu suppresses her pain.
MADHU:Muskaan..please stop it.Don't wound my heart like this. I can't bear this pain anymore.
Mus:Then what about the wound you caused in my heart?
MADHU:I never tried to wound your heart Muskaan.I have always tried to make you happy.I came to tell you an important matter.I and Rishab are getting married this month.
Muskaan is surprised.
Mus:Really?:Are you sure?
MADHU:Yes. Atleast now you please believe me that I am not after Sultan.I will never snatch your happiness.I have always prayed for your happiness Muskaan.
Muskaan becomes upset:I thought you...I got scared.
MADHU: How could you even think that I will stand against your happiness?You have not understood me till now?If I was that stubborn I would not have allowed you to take over my position on the wedding day.I would have married Sultan that time itself.But I gave importance to your happiness.Still you thought that I cheated you.
Muskaan gets upset:I am sorry Madhu.I became mad.
She hugs Madhu.

They both cry.

The next day...

During afternoon Madhu waited outside her office.Rishab came by car.He was happy to see her waiting there for him.

He opened the door for her.She got inside.
He drives to a restaurant.

They get inside the restaurant .Madhu sees the decoration in the restaurant.

Rishab:How is my surprise Madhu?

She smiles:Beautiful.

His eyes roll over her.

RISHAB:But not as beautiful as you Madhu.
Her face becomes dull.She gives a pale smile.He smiles.

They order lunch.
They both start eating.Rishab chats cracking jokes.Unknowingly Madhu laughs at his jokes.

Rishab:You look nice while laughing.

She smiles.

After she finishes her lunch,she gets up.

MADHU:Rishab...I have to go now.The lunch break is going to get over.

Rishab becomes dim.

RISHAB:I could'nt spend enough time with you.

So can I pick you up in the evening from the office?Then we will go for a simple drive?Please don't say no.

Madhu nods her head though she is not happy with the idea.
He becomes happy.

MADHU:Bye.

RISHAB:Bye.And thanks for making this lunch special.

She smiles:I have to thank you for inviting me for a very nice lunch.

He smiles.She goes away.
