Scene 2

Madhu woke up first. She found herself on the bed again but her head was about to burst with pain. She couldn't understand whether she should wake up to freshen or stay in bed to wait for headache to subside. This wasnt RK's actual house so she couldnt ask for help from someone. She decided to get up and change her dress as it was making her even more uncomfortable. After spending most of their time drinking and chatting they had decided to sleep and Madhu had ordered him to sleep on bed as they both would fall ill if they stayed near the pool anymore.

She went in the changing room after taking her dress out. She was still changing her dress when suddenly the door banged open. Madhu was startled and her head shot up to find RK standing at the door. His eyes were wide at the spectacle infront of him. Madhu panicked seeing him and the next she screamed on top of her lungs. RK suddenly shook to his self and rushed out of the door banging it shut.

Madhu had changed but was still hesitant to go out. RK had waited for a good while as he was nervous to go near the washroom now. But because of heavy drinking last night he was barely able to hold back his natural urge. He finally decided to knock at the door. Madhu, who was still pondering over how she should go out, heard a restless knock at the door.

She opened the door hesitantly and peeked out. RK gave her a nervous smile in and she just came out. She didnt know what to do. She didnt feel like staying there anymore and went out of the room when she found the bottles and glasses still lying near the pool. She smiled slightly as she remembered last night. it was not what she had thought and expected but still she didnt regret it at all. It gave them both a chance to open up to each other.

She went to the pool side as she started picking up the bottles. But then another thought came to her mind. RK was drunk yesterday so he was talking to her normally but what if he doesnt regard her his wife now. Or what if he even hates her? She was still thinking over that when she noticed someone picking up the other bottle. Thats when she saw RK who was now helping her to clear the mess. He smiled at her and she felt relieved.

Madhu went in with the bottles as she was still hesitant on how to initiate a conversation. RK came behind her and they both threw the bottles in the dustbin. He decided to speak up first.

"Amm.. Did I spoil your expectations for your wedding night?" He asked her from behind while she was about to leave.

She stopped and turned around nervously. "Well.. obviously it wasn't what I thought of. But whatever it was, it was really special for me.." she said with a smile.

RK smiled back at her. "Thanks.. but still I am sorry.. I am so guilty over myself.." he said not looking her in the eye.

"No need to.. what makes you think that.." she said shrugging.

"That stuff.. you were wearing... i mean.. you must be having so much expectations..." he said trying to find the right word as Madhu looked at him confused.

"At first I was angry but just now.. in the washroom.. i saw those and i felt its not your mistake.. you were preparing for a perfect wedding night.. it was me who was screwed up." He said guiltily.

Thats when Madhu remembered that she had left her bridal lingerie hanging in the washroom. In the nervousness and hurry of facing him she had forgotten to take those off.

"Arghhh" she practically screamed at herself and beat her head with her hand. "I am so stupid!" She screamed again and ran off to the bedroom to take those off leaving RK midway of his sentence as he looked on confused.

RK was sitting on his arm chair in front of the garden. He was in deep thoughts as to what he should do now. He wasnt ready for this marriage but the strange games of the stars had made his mother adamant on his marriage. Until yesternight he didn't know what he would do after the seven circles around the fire or putting the red colour on a girl's forehead because he was just too angry to think any of this. But now he had calmed down as he realized that this wasnt just between him and his mother but involved another person's life too. She might have not said a word but she had some expectations which he broke and that made him realise the gravity of his mistakes. It was not that having sex was a major expectation that he didnt fulfill but more than that it was the feeling that this girl's life was entwined with him now.. he almost regretted not taking up a stand before.

He was still in these confusions when Madhu came out of the house. She coughed slightly to gain his attention. RK looked up at her.

"Dont you want to have breakfast..?" She asked politely.

"Yes.. I will order for some thing.." he said getting up quickly.

"No I have made some toasts.. Its not the best of course but thats all I could manage.." she said nervously.

RK smiled and they both went inside the house. They sat on the table and there were some toasts and omlette which werent in a very good shape..

"I am sorry I dont know much cooking.. and even this got somehow mismanaged.." she said smiling embarrassed.

"What I did with you I supposed these eggs would be on my face rather than on the plate.." RK smiled jokingly and Madhu giggled hearing him.

They both sat on the table and started to eat. Though the omlette didnt look good but it tasted perfect.

"When will we go home?" Madhu asked after a bit of silence. She was feeling uneasy being alone with a perfect stranger who wasn't even in a condition to regard her his wife.

RK looked up at her and then took in a deep breath. "I.. I dont want to go there for now.." he said looking down at the plate again while Madhu looked at him confused.

"But..."

"I know.. we should have been at home and you must be expecting a lot of welcome and all but I am sorry.. I am just too disturbed at the moment to face them again.." he said looking at her helplessly.

Madhu nodded her head slightly. "I know I screwed up everything.. I should have taken a stand earlier instead of all this now.. but it all just happened so fast and everything was as if slipped away from my hands.."

"I can understand.. you dont need to be sorry.." Madhu said with a smile.

"I was not ready for marriage.. I supposed I am too young.. and then suddenly this kundali came from somewhere and I was forced to get married instantly like I was some noodle who would get ready so fast.. I tried talking to mom and dad but they were as if deaf to my refusal and then mom threatened of going away or disowning me and stuff like that and ultimately I had to agree.. but more than that it was my anger on them.. I dont know what I was thinking that to take my anger out I did what they said without saying a word and its been 2 weeks that I last talked to them.. And I totally forgot that it wasnt about just me.. It was about you too.." RK told her everything that he had wanted to confess as he thought that she deserves to know everything.

Madhu looked at him all the while and smiled at him. She took a bite of toast calmly as RK waited for her to say something and vent out her anger at him.

"Even I wasnt ready for this marriage. " she said in a calm tone.

"Really?" He asked getting happy that he wasnt alone...

"I wanted to carry on with my carrier. I wanted to be self dependent and marriage for now seemed to me a distant thought.. I had thought of marriage of course but it wasnt in my immediate cards.. but suddenly last month your proposal came to my house and my mom dad were like going crazy about having a guy from such a good family and all that.. I refused at first though but they were so hopeful that I gave in.."

"So it was forced on you too?" He asked in surprise...

" No.. it wasnt forced on me.. they explained to me and now since last few weeks I had accepted this change.. I had come to terms with it and I was even happy about my marriage.." she said with a nervous smile..

"ohh " RK said as he looked down as guilt started taking over him again.

"I dont wish to put you in misery.. If you want we can seperate.. you dont have to bear me" he said softly not looking at her though his heart screamed otherwise due to some strange reason. Maybe bexause after 2 weeks he actually talked to someone and not even that he could easily tell her all that he wanted to vent out since a month.

"Do you want to get divorce?" Madhu asked seriously.

"No.." he said instantly looking up at her. "Its entirely your preference.."

"I wish to give this a chance.. even though our first night wasnt the way it should have been but I enjoyed it however it was.. and you might not be a good husband but I saw a better friend in you..." She said looking at him with a slight smile.

And RK almost heaved a sigh of relief. He too remembered last night and he somehow didnt want her to leave.

"Thanks." He said getting relaxed. "So.. friends it is then?" He asked forwarding his hand.

Madhu smiled at him and shook his hand.

Now to the update...there is a rule here. Friendships came lead to love 🤣 Rishbala may be friends for now...but soon their hearts will become stuck together...once RK learns to realize is that Madhu was changing clothes😆 😳 Oh the wedding lingerie 🤣 What a sight to see 🤣

RK shall build houses for the planets now 🤣 Then his parents will see...that these planets are no match for him 😉 I can see RK will let Madhu become independent...it's the least he can do for her 😊

Continue soon yammy...I'm loving this story so far...waiting for the love to blossom...the lingerie still needs to serve its purpose 🤣
