PART - 16

"Congratulations, Mrs.Kundra. You are pregnant" Rk smiles.

"Why? Why you did this to me?" Madhu asks angrily.

"What a ridiculous question is that, madhu?" Rk asks confused.

"Why oh why you have stolen my thunder?" she puts her hand on her face & sobs. Seeing her crying he quickly moves to her side & knelt down on the floor beside her chair & he gently removes her hand from her face & wipes her tears with his thumb & asks "Baby, stop crying & please tell me clearly what I have done?"

"I thought I'll be the first one to come to know about my pregnancy & I thought to let you know in all filmy way by taking your hand & placing on my tummy & softly whispering in your ears "Tum papa banne wale, Doctor" but you? How lamely you told this great news to me? As if you were talking to your patient" she pouts "You poured water on my dream so just go away from me now" she slightly pushes him. He laughs. "Oh God, You are unbelievable, Biwi. For a moment you scared me" he says in sigh of relief.

"Why I scared you?" she asks quizzically.

"I thought you were not ready for the baby" he says dryly.

"How could you think that fool after seeing my love for baby Adi? When I can love him so much then why not my baby. Its our baby, Rishab. Your flesh of flesh then how will I not love the baby or want the baby?" she unknowingly moves her hand on her belly & caresses it with so much love in her eyes. Rk looks down guiltily for thinking like that about madhu.

"I love you..." she whispers & Rk looks up at her surprised "Baby... I love you, my baby" she points her finger to her belly. He smirks at her. He know very well she is head over heels in love with him even just now she said how she will not love his flesh of flesh then she automatically loves him too but she is just teasing him & making him wait to hear the three magical words.

"I love you too, baby" he smiles.

"I know" she replies.

"Oh Oh Biwi, all the time don't think i'm talking to you. Now I have someone else to show my love." he says & kisses on her tummy.

"So you no more love me?" she asks raising her brows.

"I didn't say like that" he smiles & kisses on her forehead. "I will always love you, biwi"

"i was wondering why I didn't get pregnant even after doing the deeds continuously for four month, even I had vague idea to go & check my health condition with a nice gynecologist" she tells & bites her lower lips.

"Nice gynecologist hun?" he raises an eyes brow.

"Sorry, Doctor" she closes her eyes tightly.

"Dare you call me doctor again, if u are not going to consider me as a Doctor" he pouts sulkily.

"Sorry, Doctor" she holds her ears. He grins at her cuteness.

"I'm still mad at you" she says still not getting over the previous incident.

"Don't feel bad, Mrs. kundra, only your Doctor knows that you are pregnant not your husband Rishab so go home & tell the good news to him, Okay? He grins sheepishly at her.

"Yeah, u r rite, Doctor. Okay, bye. I'm going to my husband" she smiles & leaps up to go home.

"Wait! Don't you want to see your baby?" Rk asks smilingly.

"Oh my! Yes, I want to see OUR baby" she excitedly hugs him.

"Come" he says & takes her hand & leads her towards the scanning room.

"I wonder why I didn't get any symptoms?" she asks stroking her chin.

"What symptoms?" he asks her back.

"Like nausea, vomiting, giddiness..."

"You fainted yesterday rite?" he reminds her.

"So that's not because of not eating huh? Well, then I can fast for a day without any problem next time"

"whether you are well or unwell, I don't want you to keep fast for me. Got it?" he asks. She nods. I may agree with u now doctor but i'll keep vrat for you every year, that you cant stop me!! she smirks mentally.

"So you know I was pregnant yesterday itself?" she asks. He nods.

"Then why you dint tell?"

"I wanted to be quite sure before saying anything to you. That's why I was little tensed too, yesterday." he says. "Oh Okay."

"Remove your jeans & panties & lie down on the leather table covering yourself with this sheet" he gently orders & makes some arrangements with the instrument.

"What? I was expecting an ultra sound scan over my belly?" madhu asks shocked.

"You are very newly pregnant not even a month old so we can't see the baby clearly if we go by your belly so we are doing a Transvaginal ultra sound" he replies & adjust the monitor screen so that both could see the view properly.

"No. I'm not going to do this" she says stubbornly.

"Don't you want to see our baby?" he asks countering her.

"Yes. I do"

"Then do as I told, madhu"

"Hmm... I feel shy, Doctor" she says looking down at her feet.

"I'm shocked, Biwi." he says & presses his lips not to burst out laughing.

"Stop teasing me" she pouts.

"Don't be so coy. I have studied your body pretty well & to think what all we did this is just nothing. Okay, for your satisfaction just think me as your Doctor & not your husband"

"You are my Doctor only" she replies.

He shakes his head not knowing how to answer her. "not the 'doctor' u call me but think me as a 'nice' gynecologist treating you, okay?"

"Okay. But still you turn that side" she says shyly. He rolls his eyes but turns around.

"I'm ready" she tells.

He turns back to her side & takes the wand & lubricates it with clear gel.

"Just relax, Biwi" he smiles. She nervously smiles back.

Slowly & gently he inserts the probe while keeping their eyes on the screen.

"Is this how you do to all your patients?" she asks curiously looking at him but his eyes were fixed on the monitor while he moves the lubricated wand in her.

"Yes. Now just concentrate on the screen" he snaps.

"There" he murmurs. He presses a button freezing the picture on the screen, pointing to a tiny blip on the sepia storm. Both stared at their baby shell shocked.

"It's too early to hear the baby's heart beat. May be after a month or so u could hear it too" he says looking at her but she was stunned to hear or say anything as her eyes were brimming with happy tears seeing their baby for the first time. "My baby..." She whispers & covers her face with her palms & weeps in parental joy & Rk gently removes the probe & took her palms from her face & shakes his head telling her not to cry though he had tears in his eyes. He places a feather like kisses on her forehead, then on her moist eyes & cheeks.

"here" he hands her a paper towel to clean herself. She takes it after composing herself from her extreme emotion.

"I'll print out a picture of our baby's first smile. Till then you get dressed" he says & starts working in the system.

"Here" he hands her the picture. She stares at it for a while silently & suddenly hugs Rk & burring her face on his chest & sobs.

"Baby, calm down" he gently rubs her back.

"I'm overwhelmed Rishab. I have never been this much happy ever in my life. Thank you so much for being in my life & giving this most precious gift to me" she says looking down at her belly & a moment later she pulls Rk's head close & kisses him deeply on his lips & he kisses her back.

"biwi, I have prescribed you some vitamin, do take that on time. Whenever i'm at home i'll remind you to take but in other times you need to take it on your own. & haan... don't forget to read the leaflet which I gave u & do follow according to it" he orders softly.

"What's the need to read it when you are there to tell me what to do & what not to do" she asks.

"I'm there but I can't be around you all time. So you need to be careful in whatever you eat or whatever you do. & mainly stop all your jumping, bouncing, playing, dancing... okay?"

"Aww...i'm not a baby!!" she pouts.

"You are not a baby but you are having a baby so please be careful" he smiles.

"Okay, my dear overbearing, over protective, over caring, over loving, Doctor" she says rolling her eyes. He smiles.

"Then i'll leave" she says & stood up from her chair.

"Wait. I'll drop you home safe" he also stood with her.

"You have work to do Rishab. I'll go home safe. Please you stay here." she tries to stop him coming along with her.

"It's lunch time so no work now. I'll drop you at home, inform this good news to our family, have lunch with you, then i'll return here." he says his plan clearly to her. She smiles in agreement.

"Wait" she stops him at the door way.

"What?" he asks confused. She pushes him little far & quickly shuts the door.

"Hey, what is this, madhu. Open the door" he says from the other side of the door but he dint get any reply so presses the door bell continuously & a minute later she opens the door & beams at him.

"What?" he asks pissed.

"i have a good news for your, Rishab" she smiles & pops a small piece of sweet in his mouth.

"I know that" he says smiles.

"You don't know idiot. Only my Doctor knows it" she scolds him.

"Oh yeah! I don't know anything about your pregnancy" he grins at her. He just gave that idea to console her in that moment but she has taken it seriously.

"Gah! I hate you" she hits him & turns to leave but he quickly hugs her from behind & takes the remaining sweet from her hand & he feeds her.

"When did you loved me to hate me now?" he asks teasingly.

"You are an idiot making fun of your biwi so i'll never love you. Leave me, I have work to do" she says & struggles to come out of his hand.

"What work?" he asks.

"haan... I have to add extra salt in your food as a punishment for teasing me" she says in fake anger.

"Avec pleasure you can do that Biwi because whatever u add in your hand it will taste sweet only" he grins. She blushes.

"Hello, Dad. I & madhu want to tell something important to u all so please wait online i'll call papa too & put the call on conference" Rk says.

"Okay, Rishu. Mean while I'll call ur Mom & others too" Mohan says & hangs on line.

"Hello, Papa, this is me Rishab. we are on conference call, I & madhu needs to tell you, mama, Dad, Mom & everyone there something so hold on line"

"Okay, beta. Is everything alright there? Is Madhu fine?" Malik asks panicking what important matter could be that?

"Papa, all is well & madhu is fine. Don't worry." Rk quickly replies.

"So all are here?" Rk comfirms.

"Yeah" "Yeaah"

"Okay, madhu will tell the news" Rk passes the phone to madhu.

"Me? Then what for you were holding it for all this while? She asks with her hands on her hips.

"Come on, madhu. Break the bubble. They are waiting" Rk insists.

"No, i'm not going to tell. You tell them" she says sternly.

"No, you"

"Hello" "hello" Radhaji & padmini speaks at a time.

"We got what you are gonna tell. Just tell us what month madhu is going" Padmini asks. "Is my bachchi's health good?" Radha asks.

"How they know?" Both Rk & madhu questions each other in surprise.

"Experience speaks" Radhaji replies.

"Mama, Mom! Madhu is perfectly alright. Just 4 weeks or so" Rk replies.

"Congrats Rk & madhu" Sultan & dipali wishes together.

"What for you are congratulating them" Mohan asks confused. "Same doubt here. Ladies can anyone tell what's going on here. What month you are talking about? What happen to madhu?" Malik asks.

"Thanks bhaiya & bhabi" Madhu replies smilingly.

"Tell Adi, his bro or sis is on the way" Rk says & kisses on madhu hair.

"Oh My God! Bhai, i'm so happy. Madhu, You are pregnant?" Trishna asks in excitement.

"My choti si madhu is gonna have a choti baby. Take care, madhu" Mukkund says lovingly.

"Thanks Trishna & bhaiya" Madhu smiles & grips Rk hand tightly to control her joy.

"We are coming soon, Beta" Malik says happily.

"Yes, we all are coming to see you, princess" Mohan agrees.

"Thanks daddiji & papa" madhu cries overwhelmed with all the love she receives from their family.

"Wow... wow...enough of ur affection. U r making my biwi cry" Rk teases.

"Madhu, dont cry or else your baby will also be a cry baby" Mukkund teases.

"Madhu beta, take care. Eat well on time." Radhaji says.

"Mom, i'm here too. Did you forget me completely?" Rk asks if hurt. Madhu smiles.

"Rishu... tum bhi na" she chides. Rk smiles.

"Okay, we will talk to you later. Bye" Rk says.

"Bye" Everyone says in chorus. Then he hangs up the phone.

"Biwi, stop crying for all silly things" He gently says. She nods & hugs him.

"Madhu, you wanna go for job?" he asks.

"of course, Rishab" she says after breaking the hug.

"You know rite, there is no need for you to work" He says softly.

"I know that. But I want to work. I can't sit idle at home. Please try to understand" she smiles.

"Hmm... okay! But atleast take a few days off & take complete rest" He insists.

"Fair enough so i'll take a couple of days off & rest. Happy?" she asks smilings.

"Very" he grins & hugs her again.

PART - 19

Rk came awake hearing some noise coming from kitchen & he quickly stood on his heels from the couch & walks to kitchen to see madhu doing something standing near the oven with her back to him.

"Hey, what are doing here? Do you want something? Tell me, I ll do it for u" he yawns & stood behind her rubbing his sleepy eyes. But she remained silent not looking at him. Then the microwave pings, she opens the microwave door & an appetizing smell grows strong in the room.

"Shit!" she curses. And the dish in her hand clatters on to the counter top.

"Oh God, madhu" he quickly takes her hand to the tap & let the chilling water run on her fingers where she got burnt then he gently blew on her fingers easing it.

"You okay?" he asks. She nods not looking at him.

"If u want anything u could ask me, right? Are you hungry?" he asks her gently.

"No. it's not for me. I reheated the food for u as u didn't eat well" she says softly looking down at her knotted fingers.

"I don't want anything, i'm not hungry" he declares & turns to walk back.

"Please" she holds his hand.

"Madhu, really i'm not hungry. You go sleep" He gently orders.

"I know u r angry with me. I got it but please eat something" she says in kitten soft voice & still held her head down as she feels ashamed of herself for what she said to him & her guilt was not letting her to face him eye to eye. He leans on the kitchen counter & watches her for a minute with his arms crossed on his chest.

"Will you look at me & talk?" he asks her. She shakes her head in negation.

He sighs & moves towards her & cups her face & made her face him.

"You have been crying? I thought u slept?" he asks shocked seeing her blood shot eyes. She shakes her head again in no.

"Don't lie. What is this madhu? Why are u doing this to me? Tell me clearly, did I hurt u?" he asks her sadly & takes a step back leaving her.

"No! No! No! It's other way round!! I hurt u badly. i'm so sorry Rishab. Sorry." she chokes & burst out in tears placing her forehead on his chest & holding him tight by his shoulders

"Hey, stop this" he hugs her. She cries more, a cathartic release. Her legs gave up & she sinks on the floor, clutching his thighs.

"Madhu, what are you doing? Get up & stop crying. We will talk." he says & bends down & tries to lift her up by holding her arms but she protested.

"I'm so sorry...please don't hate me...please" she sobs. Giving up he too kneels down on floor to her level.

"Look at me first & listen to me" he says holding her head between his hands & wipes her tears with his thumb but it didn't stop flowing. "I don't hate. I love u" he whispers & kisses her forehead.

"You still love me?" she asks him in shock.

"yes, I will love you, always. What wrong u did that made u think I ll stop loving u?" he asks.

"I said such rude things?" she reminds him

"Did u mean it?" he asks her back.

"Not even a single thing. It just came out of my mouth in my anger. I'm sorry" she says honestly.

"Well, I knew it & this is what I worried, u breaking down when u realize & regret what u said. It hurts me more than what u have said. Don't cry please" he begs her.

"You won't leave me right?" she asks worriedly

"What's with this 'Don't leave me, Don't leave me" thing? How many times I ll say u that I wont leave u, not in this birth & never in any birth. I love u" he says with full of love in his eyes.

"Don't love me this much. I don't deserve it. It makes me feel tinier in front of u" she says through her brimming eyes.

"You deserve even more, baby." he assures. "& when I said "baby" I meant u, u are my first baby. I do care for u" he caresses her cheeks.

"I know. Now, whatever decision u make i'll oblige to it" she says wiping her tears.

"No. u r mistaking me. I'm not against any of ur decisions. I'm just helping u to take the right decision which is good for both of us. We r husband & wife, we are better halves so no one is greater than the other, no one is dominating the other, we are equal & u have all right to stop me from taking any wrong decision & the same goes with me. got it?" he says & pecks her lips.

"I thought I have f**ked up a lot & it will take time to mend but u easily forgave me. U never hold any grudge or ego, doctor?" she asks with a genuine smile. A smile with pride.

"Not with my beloved Biwi" he smiles.

"Beloved?"

"very much beloved" he says & she hugs him happily.

"Shall we get up & go to bed?" he asks burying his nose on her hair.

"Hmm...but u eat something before that" she says breaking the hug.

"I don't want to eat, its really late"

"U are still mad at me?" she asks sadly as he was not ready to eat. He sighs. "u still think so? Don't you trust me?"

"No. I trust u. but at least, have some juice" she offers.

"Okay" he agrees. "U r gonna have too?" he asks.

"Hmm...yes, I feel thirsty"

"Then it's milk. No juice at this time. U will catch cold" he orders.

"You are a control freak" she pouts.

"Yes, I am" he smirks.

Then he swiftly stood up & made her to stand.

"Why don't u go to bed, I 'll heat the milk & bring it there?" he suggests.

"No, I'll sit here" she says. He nods & lifts her up & made her sit on top of the kitchen counter.

Then he takes the milk packet out from the fridge & pours it on the pot placed on the stove. After that he starts slicing apple in thin pieces.

"Sikky asked me whether u are a controlling husband, u don't give me freedom & I clearly told him, u are not so but when u restricted me from going, my thoughts went to what Sikky said & I told u such awful things. I'm sorry." she says regretfully.

"I know u well biwi. U 'll never say such things. It just came out of ur tongue & not from ur heart & I even notice u regretting it the next second u said that, so don't feel guilty" he smiles.

"U know me well" she says in wonder.

"That I do" he agrees.

"Even I told the gynecologist not to come to treat me" she says softly.

"she told me. But don't u think what u said was quite impolite?" he says while pouring the milk in two glasses.

"Um...Yeah but then I told in a good way" she says embarrassed. He nods.

"u r the best gynecologist & best husband in the world" she says genuinely.

"Ahaan..." he grins.

"& a best father too. our baby will love u like i do" she says looking down at her tummy & Rk looks at her surprised that even now she said she loves him but wonders what is stopping her from confessing it.

"Here" he hands her a glass of milk, she reluctantly takes it.

"How is Sikky at office?" Rk asks casually.

"Hmm...okay. Why?"

"I don't get any good vibes from him. He is instigating evil things in u & you blindly make mistakes & we end up in fighting. First that party night, that time also u said he told u to drink & today he seeded some f**king nonsense in ur head, so I..." he shrugs.

"Hmm..." she nods.

"have" he takes a slice of apple to her mouth but she turns her head.

"I don't eat apples" she declares.

"Why?" he ask curiously.

"Haven't u heard the phrase "Apple a day keeps the doctor away"? I don't want to keep my Doctor away" she grins & snakes her hand around his neck & kisses him on his cheeks.

"Haha...Very funny. Eat" he forcefully pushed a slice in her mouth & bites her cheeks.

"ahh...what are u doing, you animal" she pushes him.

"Eating my apple" he grins. she blushes.

"Haan...this weekend we are going back home for Mukkund -Trishna's wedding"

"Omg! Why u didn't tell me this before?" she asks surprised.

"Well, I thought to say but the moment I entered u said abt ur tour plan & my mood went off. You didn't give me a chance to say" he says as matter of fact.

"If u have told that before would I choose my tour plan over my bhai & best friend's marriage? No right? We could have avoided all this fight & tears" she says pissed.

"Okay, whatever happened s happened as I don't want another fight with this too so forget it & go to bed"

"one minute, I want to ask something. um..." she hesitates.

"what?"

"Um...Do u expect me to say those three words?" she asks looking at his eyes.

"Which 3 words?...oh okay okay!! that 3 words. Yes, I love to hear it but only when u are ready to say from ur heart though I know u love me" he simply says.

"How?" she asks surprised.

"ur "how" is the answer. If u didn't love u would have said "No" but not "how" beside I have two more reasons for saying it with full confidence but I ll tell the reason only when u say those three words"

"U have to wait a little longer" she smirks.

"oh well, already it's long but still I can wait & u have to wait to know the reason" he smirks back.

"U really forgave me right?" she asks again to satisfy herself for one last time.

"How can I prove that to you?" he asks tiredly.

"Make love to me" she blushes.

"Avec pleasure!" he grins & carries her to the bed in his arms.

"Hey, I have a good news for u" Madhu says happily the next moment Rk enters their house after work.

"Don't throw any bomb like yesterday madhu. I'm so tired today" he says & sags back on the couch.

"Doctor, nothing like that. Really its a good news for u. just guess it?" she asks excitedly sitting beside him.

"Did u got any promotion? But no chance for that as u joined the office only 2 weeks back & no sane person will give promotion but don't know abt ur so called friend Sikky" he says dryly. She shakes her head in no.

"did u went for shopping on ur own? If so i'm really happy madhu & it will be a best news for me, darling" he grins widely & she frowns.

"Go to hell for teasing me. I wont say the good news" she angrily says & stood up to walk away.

"Hey, okay. I'm sorry. Tell me, what is it?" he asks holding her hands.

"I. QUIT. MY. JOB" she enunciate each word. He stares at her for a while to process what she said.

"Re..Really? Are u kidding?" he asks her doubtfully.

"No, Rishab. I'm serious. U said u didn't get good vibes from him, u r always right so I went by ur instinct & today I went to office, gave my resignation, Sikky was hell shocked, his expression was worth watching, he even pleaded me not to leave the job as he will be loosing a bright mind but I told him that my bhai's wedding is coming so i'll be going back to Mumbai & also I have health issues so I want to quit. Then he asked me whether u were the reason for this decision, then I gave him a piece of mind & blasted him once & for all for what he played knowingly or unknowingly in our life" she says the entire incident. Rk smiles in relief & he gently pulls her on his lap & starts kissing her senselessly.

"U made me so so happy biwi. I love u" he hugs her tightly hiding his face on the crook of her neck. She smiles seeing him happy.

"Doctor, I told u a good news what u ll do in return?" she asks shyly.

"I know what u want biwi" he winks.

"No. Not that. I want u to take me shopping" She asks cutey. He chokes & coughs vigorously. She quickly takes a glass of water kept in the near by table & gave him to drink & swats his back.

"Don't you think its a price too much for the good news" he asks after getting back to normal.

"No!! I want to shop for my bhai's wedding...hmm...we will shop for our baby too, like dresses, toys, cradle...everything" She says enthusiastically.

"Woah...woah...Baby's shopping has time, biwi. Hmm...u can shop only for ur bhai's wedding that too quick one, okay?" he declares.

"But baby...wait...sex??" she asks

"I'm always ready, sweetheart" he grins sheepishly.

"Gee..i'm asking about baby's sex...boy or girl? so that I can get clothes & toys according to that."

"That i'll come to know in ur next scan, but then I won't say it as it is against law" he says & she pouts as she knows her dutiful husband well that he will never go against law.

"You have any preference? Boy or girl?" madhu asks.

"Healthy will do" He says placing his hand on her belly & she places in on top of his hand.

"As expected" she sighs.

"You?" he asks.

"Hmm...A baby boy...a replica of my Doctor. What say?"

"Why not a baby girl...a perfect angel like u?"

"Hmm...okay. First one boy & second one girl" she declares.

"Can we take one at a time?" He smiles.

"Sure because u are gonna handle him or her like u do me" she grins at him.

"Will love to, baby" he pegs on her lips.

"Um...Madhu, Tomorrow ur bhai will be coming to Delhi as he has some conference to attend here..."

"Oh wow. That's great. Today I called home but no one told me about this? Okay, then we all can go back to Mumbai together on sunday" she says smilingly.

"Madhu...actually...i...i..."

"What I ...i..?? tell me?" she insists him.

"Madhu, I have to go to Nainital for a medical camp next week so I won't be able to come along with u. only on next friday night I ll reach Mumbai for sunday's marriage."

"what? Two days before ur sister's wedding? No, u ask permission, Rishab" she says stubbornly.

"Madhu, its a free awareness camp & I really wish to go there & serve. Sorry."

"Then I won't go without u. i'll stay here itself" she says sadly.

"What u'll do here alone? I can't take the risk of leaving u here alone & go. That's why I called my Dad to come & take u home but he told Mukkund has some conference here, then I talked to him & he agreed to it" he tells her.

"How I 'll be there without u?" she asks almost in the verge to cry.

"Hey, only five days. One or two u stay at our place as mom wants to see u then u can go to ur Maika. Don't worry, baby. All are there with u & enjoy with them but not much. Don't strain yourself, eat well & take medicines on time & proper rest. Okay? & haan...give that awful women phabo, 10 days leave." she nods.

"I will miss, you" she hugs him now itself fearing of going away from him.

"I will miss you, too." he kisses her head.

PART - 14

Morning rays fell on Madhu's angelic face & she stirs uncomfortably & cuddles closes to her husband & hides her face on the crook of his neck not wanting to entertain the sun to admire her beauty. In this slight action Rk wakes up with a smile feeling his biwi's warn breath against his neck & he tilts his head to see his biwi sleeping with a frown. He gently removes the stray of hair strand from her face & caresses her cheeks with his knuckles & immediately her frown turns to a pleasant smile which he always wish to see in her face.

"Good morning, biwi" he says & pecks on her lips.

"Good morning, Doctor" she smiles sweetly.

"You are looking beautiful today" he says & skirts his index finger on her lips. She blushes.

"Shall we begin our new life?" he asks her sweetly.

"A beautiful life" she smiles.

"My life is always beautiful when you are near me" he says.

"When are you going to join in work in the new hospital?" she asks him

"From tomorrow" he replies.

"So what you want to do today?" she asks.

"I know what I want to do, right now" he grins.

"What?" she frowns.

"I'm going to take up your offer now & Sorry for the delayed gratification" he grins widely this time & she blushes crimson thinking what she had asked for, yesterday.

"After that?" she asks him immediately to hide her embarrassment.

"hmm... after making love to my biwi, she will cook breakfast for me & ..." he stops & thinks what to do "you will take me to shopping" she completes his sentence.

"you want to go shopping?" he asks surprised wondering how many times she will go shopping in a month?

"Yes" she replies with a cute smile which is enough to melt his heart.

"Okay, then i'll take you shopping" he promises her.

"Thank you, Doctor" she grins.

"So tell me?" he asks.

"Tell you what?" she asks confused.

"Here or on your red couch?" he grins ear to ear remembering how she asked the very 1^st moment they entered to new house eying on the red couch & asking him to make out on it.

"Now, here on bed & later on couch, may be after break fast" she shyly smiles.

"Oh God! What a creature you have created for me" he says & flips back on his pillow taking her with him.

"A creature that suits you" she says looking up at him.

"Yeah!" he smiles & she lifts the cover over them & soon they got lost in their world.

Rk emerges into the kitchen island after taking his shower & getting dressed in white lenin shirt & black pants & the water dripping from his wet hair made him look even more hot. He smilingly leans on the kitchen counter balancing on his elbow & resting his cheek on his palm as he admires his Biwi who was blissfully dancing to the song playing in her ipod with her back to him & suddenly she swirls & halts abruptly almost losing her balance seeing Rk.

"When did you came out of the bathroom" she asks shocked & little embarrassed too.

"Just now. Don't stop on my account. Keep dancing." he insists.

"No" she shyly says & looks down at her knotted finger.

"That's a mighty fine floor show. Very pleasant to see in the morning so just dance for me, biwi" he asks in his husky voice.

"Only if u join me" she says blushingly.

"Oh well" he says & holds out his hand & she takes it & in a swift move he pulls her in his arms making her hold his shoulders for balance & they start to sway not taking their eyes from each other.

"Oh my God" she shrieks.

"What?" he asks immediately releasing his hold on her waist.

"My toast..." she turns her head to the toaster "Got burnt..." she pouts.

"It's all because of you" she shouts suddenly anger flares as she was not able to eat her toast.

"What, pray, I have done? I just asked u for a dance" he tells

"Yes, who asked u to ask me that?" she asks him angrily.

"Who asked you to dance in kitchen that too in short skirt?" he counters her pointing at her short layered skirt.

"I love to cook to music & when I hear this song I automatically start dancing" she says.

"Then the mistake is on the song & not on me" he says & quickly moves towards the ipod stand & switches of the ipod. Then they looked at each other with their arms crossed for several seconds & finally Rk broke the silence by asking "Are you going to cook something else or just keep staring me?" she sighs & went back to whisk the eggs.

"You are a great cook, biwi" he says with mouth full of scrambled eggs. But she just glares at him coldly.

"what? Are you still mad?" he asks. She nods.

"It's really shocking biwi. U have taken so many major issues lightly but now, just for that damned toast u r reacting too much hun" he shakes is head in disbelief.

"Food is more important to me than anything" she replies in a warning tone so that he wont mess with it again.

"Okay! Sorry. I won't touch you while u are cooking or eating" he raises his hands up in defeat.

"Good" she smiles. "Now, clean the dishes" she orders.

"What?" he asks surprised.

"I cooked so u clean" she says with shrugs. But he remained silent because he have never ever cleaned dishes though he knows to cook.

"you won't?" she asks sadly.

"Well, I'll clean" he says seeing her sad face & stoop up to take their plates.

"No need. I was just kidding" she grins.

"But I'm not" he says sternly & ask for her plate.

"No! No! No, cleaning but only making me dirty" she winks.

"You have a one track mind, Biwi" he chuckles. "Okay, go & get ready. We will go shopping." she nods & went in to change.

"Oh Meri maa, it's already 3pm but still we haven't had our lunch. How many more shops you will check out? I hungry" he says tiredly not even having the energy to talk loud. Around 10 in morning they started their shopping & still his shopaholic biwi seems insatiable & running into each & every shop in the mall with full energy making her poor husband carry all the shopping bags she had shopped so far.

"I'm not hungry, doctor" she says & enters a boutique.

"How u will be hungry? after having 2 plates of paani poori, one black forest cake, one butterscotch ice cream, one burger, 2 samosas, one pepsi & one cotton candy that still u r eating. All are unhygienic, aerated, fatty, unhealthy junk foods" he says & runs his hand through his hair.

"That's so mean. I never thought u will keep tab on what & all I ate. Who stopped u from eating them? I asked u but u din't so i'm not responsible for ur hunger." she glares at him angily.

"Madhu, I told u to change ur food habits but still u didnt. Those food items are not good for health, baby. Come with me, I'll feed u something healthy" he says as gently as possible as if he was talking to a kitten.

"No! Only after checking this stop"

"Hey, u checked this shop already. Why are you going in again?" he asks her holding her hand.

"Oh! Actually I like the pink saree which u chose for me so we will buy it" she says.

"then why u dint buy at that time itself?" he asks little pissed.

"Um.. actually I was looking for something better but I got nothing good so we will buy this one as u liked it" she tells smilingly.

"Okay! But one condition, u should go & get only that pink saree & no more searching for better one & after that we will have our lunch." he clearly warns & she shakes her head in agreement.

"Shall we go home" he asks expectantly after having a healthy meal in a decent restaurant.

"No. we didn't buy anything for you yet. Then u will accuse me that I bought everything for me & nothing for u" she says.

"I don't need anything apart from some rest & I won't accuse you. Have I ever dared to accuse you?" he asks

"You would & you do often. Why you are cribbing over me for shopping. After that car accident only today i'm shopping but..." he stops her by placing his finger on her lips & says "Don't. Don't remind me that again. I've almost lost you that time..." his words trail & shakes his head to wave the thought aside. "Okay. I'm sorry" she says & drags him to a men's wear shop to get some shirts for him.

"Turn this side" she orders.

"What's wrong with u, Biwi?" he asks exasperated with her behavior.

"Miss. Black top & Miss. Red lipstick standing near the bill counter are eying my husband so i'm protecting him like a human shield" she says blinking her eyes.

"I'm not a baby & I don't want any protection because I know they are not going to eat me. They can watch whatever they please to" he says in mock disgust.

"I know you are not a baby & that's the problems here. You are man, a handsome man & all mine & they are eying what's mine. Got it!" she growls

& he laughs at her sudden out burst.

"Don't laugh at me when i'm mad because u do know what i'll do" she narrows her brows. "I don't like this shop. Come we will go to some other shops" she says & stomps out & he follows her dutifully.

"You like those shirts?" she asks him sweetly.

"Yeah, I love it" he says dryly. Then suddenly she halts & runs into a toy shop. "You like this?" she asks him showing a remote car.

"I'm not a baby. I'm a man, a handsome man so I don't play with toys" he throws back her own words.

"It's not for you. It's for my baby Adi" she smiles.

"Baby, we are not in Mumbai but in Delhi" he gently reminds her. Immediately her smile fades. Rk quickly moves to her side & wipes a bead of tear which is threatening to roll down on her cheeks with his thumb.

"Don't worry, soon everything will be back to normal, baby. Buy the toy now & we will give it when we go there. by the way he is just 3 months old baby so it will take time for him to play with this remote car." he says & quickly kisses on her hair.

"Take me home, Rishab" she says softly.

"Hmm... its already 7pm, I thought we will dine in some restaurant & get back home because you look beat up & I don't think you will be able to cook. Is that okay?" he asks. She nods & he leads her into the elevator & they waited for the metal door to close. But a foot stops the door from closing & a man enters in.

"Hey, mady. What a pleasant surprise!" the man smiles at madhu & holds out his hand & madhu claps with his hand & he pulls her & gives a swift hug. "Hey, sikky. How are you?" she asks after stepping back from his hug & immediately Rk puts his hand on her waist pulling her close to him.

"Good. Thank you" he says & looks up at Rk.

"Oh! Meet my husband, Dr. Rishab kundra" she says circling her arms with his. "Rishab, this is my college friend sikkendar bhatia." she introduces them.

"Hi" Rk gives him a tight smile.

"Hello, Mr.Kundra" sikky smiles pleasantly.

"Please call me, Rk" he says.

"Rk" sikky acknowledges.

"So, Mady. You were in Mumbai rite?" Sikky asks.

"Yes. But yesterday only we shifted to Delhi as my husband got transferred here." she replies.

"Oh nice" he says & steps out when the elevator comes to halt in ground floor.

"Well, this is my card, if you need any help call me. I'm here for you" he says politely. "Sure. Thank you" Madhu says.

"Bye. Mady, Rk" sikky says. Rk nods. Madhu smiles.

"You dint tell me about him earlier." Rk asks.

"Oh, actually I kind of forgot him. We were not best of friend. He studied in my class when I was doing my UG & he went abroad to do MBA then we lost track. He is a very funny guy." she smiles. He nods.

"So dinner"

"Yeah sure. I'm famished" she says.

After having their dinner they head back to their apartment around 10pm.

"Uff... I have never did shopping for nearly 12 hrs." he says dropping all the bags on the floor & launches on the couch tiredly.

"I give u the right to kill me but never ever call me again for shopping" he says & puts his arms over his head.

"Okay" she says softly & snuggles close to him in couch.

"What?" he asks shocked.

"Couch" she grins.

"Are you planning to kill me, Biwi?" he says & quickly runs to his room leaving behind a disappointed madhu.

"Wassup madhu? Why u didn't come to office for 2 days?" Roma asks as soon as madhu enters the office.

"Oh, actually Roma I was not well so I took leave to rest at home" Madhu says with a smile.

"Hmm... but u don't look like one returning after sick leave. U look so bright & glowing with happiness. Had fun with your Doctor hun?" Roma winks & madhu blushes.

"Hey, Madhu. U know what? Our company got a very big contract for which we all have been working for the past 4 months. Our boss is so happy" Ria says enthusiastically.

"Oh! That's wonderful news Ria" madhu smiles.

"Hello ladies & gentlemen" Sikky calls loudly to grasp everyone's attention. All turned to his direction who's standing outside his cabin with his hands in his pant pockets.

"Well, u all know about the deal we sealed yesterday & I thought we should celebrate it so i'm throwing a party tonight at "Hotel Pearls" so we will work till 4pm today & then you all can go home, get ready & join the party at 7pm. Is that clear guys?" he made the announcement to everyone & went near madhu.

"Congrats, sikky" Madhu extends her hand & he takes it with a smile.

"Mady, could you please come to my cabin?" sikky asks politely. She nods & follows him.

"How are you, mady. You were in leave for 2 days. Is everything okay? I was worried." he asks in concern.

"I'm good, sikky" she smiles.

"You know what mady? You are a lucky charm to my company. Just few days back u joined the office & see, we got a big contract"

"There is nothing like that sikky. All your hard work pays. I'm not even a part of this contract then how can i take the credit in the name of luck?" she politely says.

"You are looking different... well, bright, more attractive, your face is shining... is anything special?" he asks.

"Are you flirting with me sikky?" Madhu asks raising her brow.

"No. just saying the fact. You are looking beautiful today" he praises her. She smiles unwillingly as his praises were unnerving to her. She likes to hear all those words only from one man, her man, her Doctor Rishab.

"Um...Sikky, I have work to do so can I get back to my place?" she asks gently.

"Yeah! Sure. See you in party tonight" he grins.

"Sure" she nods & quickly moves out of his room & headed to her cabin.

"Hey! Doctor" she says excitedly picking his call in 2^nd ring itself. He smiles hearing her enthusiasm in her voice.

"Hmm... someone is so pleased to hear my voice" he asks grinning.

"As always. So tell me how suddenly your wife came into your mind during work hours?" She asks surprised.

"You are always on my mind but right now i'm at home. Due to some sudden change I'm scheduled to 4pm shift today. Hmm... would you mind if I pay a visit to your office now? He asks hesitantly.

"Of course not, Doctor. I don't mind at all. You are most welcome to visit me" she says happily.

"Well, then i'll be there in 20mins. I'll take u to lunch out" he says.

"Cool" she says & hangs up the call.

"Hello, Mommy" Rk beams when he enters madhu's cabin. What? Mommy? Okay!

"Hi, Daddy" madhu backs at him & they grin like 2 crazies madly in love.

"Nice office" he says & access her room & spots Sikky glaring at them from next room through the glass partition. Rk narrows his eyes to clearly gauge his intention, but Sikky quickly turns his head holding his phone receiver on his ears.

"Why the blinds are not closed?" Rk asks casually.

"Oh, sikky use to signal me by this way asking me to come to his room if he needs any help" she shrugs.

"He can even call over phone right?" he asks.

"Hmm... I guess he is saving company's money" she laughs. "But right now I really want the blinds to be closed" she winks & quickly closes the blinds.

"I prefer u always keep the blinds closed so that u get some privacy" he says dryly.

"Okay!" she agrees & licks her lower lips.

"What?" Rk asks.

"You. You look so fresh, so young & damn hawttt in this black shirt & blue jeans." she grins salaciously. He chuckles. "Oh God! What i'm going to do with you, Biwi?" he shakes is head. "We are in your office, Despo" he quickly reminds her.

"Did you see anywhere in the office "Do not KISS" board? No, right" she arcs her brow & trails her hand up his torso.

* knock!! knock *

"Who the hell is that?" she snarls. He chuckles & releases her from his hold. "Come in" she shouts startling both of them. "Hey! Cool" Rk mouths at her & takes a seat opposite to her.

"Madhu... please tell me this is your Brother or friend" Roma pleads & Ria follows her not taking her eyes off of Rk. He politely smiles at them.

"No! He is my grandpa" Madhu says mockingly.

"Oh my God! Your Grandpa is too hot & sexy" Roma clasps her hand in Gee.

"Dammit!! This is My husband. My Doctor, Rishab kundra" she says angrily & quickly moves around the table & stood between his legs possessively.

"Why, madhu? Why? U stabbed the knife in our heart. We thought, we could try our luck with this handsome man but u shattered our dreams" Roma pouts & Ria is in no state to utter a word apart from drooling Rk. Rk calmly watches all the drama the ladies were creating.

"Hello, Miss. Ria, Stop Drooling on my melting caramel, okay?" Madhu admonishes Ria & Ria came out of her day dreaming.

"Melting caramel huh?" Both roma & ria laughs. Rk rubs his forehead in embarrassment & madhu glares at them.

"Sorry, Dr.kundra. We just wanted to see madhu burning in jealousy as she always go on & on about her husband." Roma laughs again. Madhu pouts.

"Well, Doctor. This's Roma & that's Ria, my friends" Madhu introduces them.

"Oh madhu, there is no need for any introduction. we already talked outside & We only directed him to your room" Ria says. Madhu nods.

"okay! We'll give some room to the lovely couple" Roma says to Ria. "Nice meeting you Dr.kundra" both the ladies wave their hands with a smile.

"Nice meeting you too, ladies" Rk gives them a friendly hug.

"They two seems good" Rk says after they were out of the room.

"Yes. They are" she says & sat on his lap.

"So tell me, baby, how are you? You okay, rite?" He asks softly.

"Yes, Doctor." she smiles.

"So shall we go for lunch?" He asks.

"Hmm... okay but before..." she says & leans forward to kiss him.

knock!! knock!!

"Gah! I'm gonna kill the person outside the door" she growls & stood up from his lap & went back to her chair & mutters "Come in" & Sikky enters in.

"Hi, Rk. Sorry for disturbing you but Mady, I want you to check the accounts immediately" he says & passes the Book to her.

"well, Rk, I guess mady would have told you about tonight's party & I would like you to join with us" Sikky offers.

"Oh! I haven't heard about that yet. Madhu, you are going for the party?" Rk asks turning to her. She nods. "Well. I don't think I could make up. My work is already scheduled so sorry, Sikky"

"Oh! That's okay, Rk" he shrugs. Then he shakes hand with Rk & went out of the room.

"So lunch?" Rk asks.

"Work" she says sadly.

"It's okay, baby. We will go out some other day" He says smilingly.

"I have work only till 4pm today & then i'll go home get ready & go for the party at 7 or 7.30pm. I wish you could join me" she says hugging him.

"Work" He replies.

"Hmm... I can understand" she whispers.

"You have work to do so i'm leaving now but don't forget to eat & after reaching home take some rest & then go fresh for the party & haan... Don't excert yourself much in the party, okay? I'll call you later." he instructs her.

"Yes, Sir" she bats her eyes lashes.

"Bye" he says & she sighs sadly.

"U'll always get what you wished for, Biwi" he says & quickly grabs her pony tail & yanks it so that she faces him & he slams his lips on hers & briefly kisses her taking her by surprise.

"Bye" she grins widely. He smiles & left the office.

(At party)

"Hey, you came late to the party & you were fully occupied with your ladies & you ar sitting alone. don't you spend some time for your poor friend" Sikky asks taking a seat besides madhu.

"sure, sikky" she smiles.

"So tell, Mady, how's life going after marriage? How's your husband? We met but we couldn't interact with each other well." He probes her.

"Life is Blissful after marriage & with my Rishab, you too marry some nice girl soon, Sikky" she smiles.

"Hmm...Marriage?" he smirks. Madhu frowns. By then the waitress arrives at the their table to take their order.

"Orange juice" Madhu orders. "Come on, Madhu. Only on parties you could drink & there too you are preferring Orange juice. Order something special yaar or i'll order for you" Sikky insists.

"Um...I'm okay with wine. Bollinger...if you have or dry crispy white wine" she orders hesitantly.

"One regular" Sikky says dryly.

"Sir. Ma'am" Waitress nods & walks away to bring their order.

"missing your husband?" Sikky asks madhu seeing her silence.

"Yeah. After marriage I didn't go anywhere without him & today its quite odd for me to pass time alone." she says with faint smile.

"Come on, mady. He has work to do. Cheer up girl" He encourages. She smiles.

"Would you like to dance with me?" Sikky extends his hand & madhu takes a back in shock.

"Um..Sorry, I can't dance. Please, i'm tired" she excuses.

"Oh! Would you like to rest for some time? I have a private room, here" Sikky offers.

"No, Thanks. I'm okay, here"she rejects his offer politely.

"Sir, Ma'am, your drinks" Waitress places their order on the table.

While drinking they talked a lot about their college, how their lives have changed in the past two years, but most of the time madhu was not in the mood to talk or answer his ridiculous questions.

"Excuse, me" she excuses & takes her buzzing phone & walks away to talk in private.

"Hi" She murmurs.

"Madhu, i'm heading back home, Do you want anything which I could get it from stores?" Rk asks.

"Um..I..I don't..." she slurs.

"What noise is that? Are you still in party? It's nearing 10 & you still... i'm coming to get you" he says & hangs up the call.

"sikky, i'm leaving now. My husband is waiting outside. You all enjoy. Bye" she says quickly taking her clutch from the table. "Bye" Sikky nods.

Madhu walks out of the hotel & searches for Rk & spots him leaning on the car with his arms crossed in the parking lot.

"Sorry, I got late" She slurs.

"have you been drinking?" he asks shocked. "You are not suppose to consume alcohol now, don't you know that?" He asks gritting his teeth.

Oh crap! How could I be so careless? Shit!

"Rishab, i'm sorry" she says softly.

"Get in the car, madhu" he says running his fingers on his hair. She nods & went around to the passenger seat & he takes the driver seat & starts the car.

"Woah.." madhu shrieks. Rk applies the break & pulls madhu towards him holding through her elbow at the same time.

"Shut the f**king door properly, madhu & put your seat belt on" Rk shouts. She gulps & did as he said.

"Rishab, why are so mad at me" She asks gently.

"You know why?" he says placing his eyes on the road.

"I said i'm sorry"

"Please, madhu, dont say anything now. I'm so mad so give me some time." he says & brushes his fingers on his forehead.

"I ordered for orange juice only but Sikky insisted me to have some wine...i...i'm sorry for being careless" she apologizes.

"Don't talk about that Sikky now. I'm already not very pleased with you working with him. Well, he doesn't know anything about your health but you do, right?" He growls & bangs his hand on the steering.

God! He is so mad!

But yes! He is right! I should be the one taking care of myself! Oh God! My carelessness should not cause my baby!

She caresses her belly with one hand silently apologizing to her baby to forgive her for her mistake & other hand clutching her throat to control the nauseousness.

"You okay? You wanna throw up? Do you want me to stop the car" Rk hurriedly asks seeing her discomfort.

"No. I'm okay. You keep going" she murmurs. He nods. She looks at him through her lashes hoping he will say something but he remained silent & tensed too. This makes her worry more.

"Rishab, please tell me that our baby will be fine. Please tell me that small quantity of wine will not affect the baby..." She asks shaking his arms suddenly panicking for the baby. He glares at her once & set back his eyes on road.

"Rishab, please don't be so cold. I'm asking you something, answer me." she asks still holding his left arm but he remained silent.

"Oh God! I know I committed a big mistake but please talk to me. Just tell me for once that our baby will be fine" she asks with tears stung on her eyes.

"you are asking me as if you reallycare for the baby, madhu." he says angrily not even realizing what he had said to her & stops the car outside their apartment. She drops her hand from his arms with a jerk & scrunches her eyes tightly as if he had slapped her on her face & the tears in bay made it's way. Seeing her tears he realized what he had said to her.

"Madhu, i'm sorr..." before he could say she dashes out of the car & walks fast to the house. She quickly unlocks the Door & rushed to the bathroom & locks it while Rk follows her.

"Madhu, please open the door & let me in" He rattles the door but she didn't open it.

"Baby, please, i'm sorry. Stop crying & open the damned door" He bangs the door hardly as couldn't take her loud cry. f**k! He kicks the door & it flung opens as it was not properly locked from inside.

She's kneeling down on the bathroom floor with her face buried in her palms. He quickly kneels down beside her & envelops her in his arms.

"Go away from me" She pushes him angrily with one hand & hold her head tight in other.

"Madhu, i'm not going anywhere. Just stop crying." he pleads.

"I don't need you. I hate you" she again pushes him away from her but he was not ready to leave her & hugs her & ruffles her hair to soothe her but she sobs inconsolably.

"I know you don't hate me & I know you need me & our baby too needs me" he says.

Hearing the word 'baby' she cries even more but this time hugging him tight.

"I really love our baby, Rishab & I do care for the baby. If anything happens to the baby it would kill me." she wails. Oh God! I never thought I would hurt her this hard & this deep! Shit! I hate myself for making her cry! He curses himself.

"I know! I know you love the baby more than me & you do care for the baby. Please forgive me. I don't know what came out me in my anger. I'm sorry" He pleads.

"It hurts me, Rishab, more than anything. Please don't ever say that again. I promise you to be more careful" she says running her fingers on his slightly grown stubble.

"Am I forgiven?" He asks.

"Am I" she asks back.

"Yes" he smiles.

"Ditto" she smiles back.

"Did you throw up?" he asks. She nods "Good. At least now the alcohol is out of your system" he says & she swallows as again the nauseousness hits her throat & she leaps on her feet & hurries to the toilet. In a second he stood beside her & grabs her hair in a swift pony with one hand & rubs her back gently with other hand. After emptying her stomach, he helps her to clean her mouth & hands.

"you can walk or you want me to carry you?" Rk asks seeing her drained.

"well, I can walk but you carry me. I like being in your arms" she says with shrugs. He smiles & picks her gently in his arms & drops her on the bedroom floor.

"Here, change this" he passes her night dress to her. She takes it & walks towards the dressing room & then she struggles with the strap at the back in her knee length navy blue color satin gown.

"Turn. I will peal the dress off of you" Rk says. She obliges.

"Nice dress. You are looking beautiful even in your tear stained face" he says stripping the dress off from her shoulders & he kisses on her shoulder from the back. She smiles slightly. "Arms up" he orders & Then he pulls a shirt on top of her head. Then she slips her legs into her sweat pants holding Rk for support.

"Did you ate something in the party?" he asks. She shakes her head in negative.

"Go sit on bed. I'll fix you something to eat" he says & turns but stops hearing her say "Can't I just go to bed & sleep"

"Don't start again, madhu" he says tiredly.

"Okay! i'm sorry... I'll eat... please don't shout at me" she says quickly.

"I'm not going to shout at you, Madhu" he says calmly & kisses on her forehead & walks out to the kitchen.

"have this" he hands her a veg sandwich & a bowl of fruit salad.

"If you are gonna drink then you should eat first. That's rule no.1 of drinking. If u had done that now u won't be feeling sick" he says softly not wanting to scold her.

"I drink only wine to keep my skin glowing that too rarely"

"Hmm...your skin is glowing only. That I can see" he smiles & takes her hand & kisses on her knuckles.

"How much u had to drink & What wine?" he asks to know whether it will harm or not.

"only a flute of Bollinger" she says regretfully.

"Oh! The pale pink wine. Exactly the color of ur blush rite?" he asks grinning & she blushes.

"When did u started drinking?" Rk asks her.

"Well, two years back I was briefly in France attending cookery classes with a French chef & there I got the habit" she replies. "Oh"

"Do you drink?" Madhu asks him

"when I was in Russia I used to drink. The climate requires to keep me warm but here, there is no need for it as you are there to keep me warm" He winks. Oh my! How can he say something sensual at this time?Madhu turns completely pink.

"Finished" she says & keeps the plate aside.

"Good girl" he says & hands the vitamin tablets to her. Oh my! He is so perfect! My Mr. Perfect!

She takes the pill from his hand & swallows it with water. then he went to take a shower.

"You didn't sleep yet?" Rk asks coming out of the dressing room after getting dressed in night wears. She remains silent looking at her knotted fingers.

"what is it, baby?" he asks taking a seat beside her on the bed.

"Doctor... I ..." she stammers.

"Tell me?" he encourages her to tell whatever in her mind.

"Our baby will be fine right?" she asks looking at his eyes.

"Lie down" he orders softly & she does the same. Then he pulls the hem of her tops up exposing her stomach & gently presses it "you have any pain here?" he asks & she shakes her head in no. "here?" he moves his hand to her abdomen. "No" she whispers. He smiles. "Then no worries. Our baby is fine. Nothing serious will have in drinking little wine & moreover you have emptied ur stomach so just relax & be careful from next time" she nods with a happy smile & mummers "thanks, Doctor" he kisses her forehead & whispers "Sleep, baby" & then he switches the lights off & snuggles close to her.

"Our baby is my second love in my life, Doctor" she mumbles in her sleep surprising Rk. Second? Then what's her 1st love? Food? hmm...possible!! or who is her 1st love? Her mama? Or her papa? Who the hell is that? Me? May be!!

Madhu wakes up with a fuzzy head but thankfully it was not throbbing. She adjusts herself & rest her head on the head rest & watches her morning show, her favorite show, her husband getting ready for his work.

"Enjoying the view?" he asks her through the mirror.

"As always" she smiles.

"How are feeling, baby?"

"Good. Thank you" she says & he turns to her & gave her a dazzling smile. She sat on her knees on the bed with her hands wide open inviting him in her embrace. He smiles & gracefully moved to the bed & leans forward to give a hug & in excitement she launches on him & he losses his balance & he twists & falls back on the bed taking her with him.

"Oh God, madhu. Gentle yaar!! No need to be fast & furious all the time" he admonishes her gently.

"Sorry" she says biting her lower lips.

"When will you register in your mind that you are pregnant. I guess only after you get big bump" he shakes his head & sets her straight.

"i guess so" she smiles sweetly.

"Sorry for yesterday. I was worried about something else too & I took my anger on you" he says

"I'm your biggest worry then what else you were worried about?" she asks smirking.

"Sultan called me, yesterday" he says & pauses

"And?" she asks curiously.

"It's arson" he says blankly.

"What? The fire in office? But who?"

"Ak" he replies with burning eyes. "He wanted to create loss for us, for the loss he faced so he damaged our company's newly imported goods"

"But how?"

"Our supervisor Mangesh, that f**ker worked for AK & he only set the fire" he says gritting his teeth.

"So what the police are gonna do now?"

"Mangesh got arrested but he gave false statement that he did for not giving bonus & didn't tell anything about AK"

"Oh?"

"Sultan said he will handle the asshole Ak"

"Okay! So Sultan bhaiya is handling him right, then why you r worried?"

"i was worried for you. Because of me that day you got in danger." he says & grabs her head between his hand & places his forehead on hers controlling his thumping heart.

"Relax, Doctor. I'm safe now. Infact we are out of all the shits so don't worry, please." she says & hugs him.

"I love you" he whispers & hold her close in her embrace.

"I know" she smiles.

"Papa!!!" Madhu happily hugs her father Malik.

"Madhu... how are u, dear? You came alone?" Malik asks her & looks out to see anyone has accompanied her.

"I'm fine, papa. No, I came with Rishab. He is parking the car. Here, he has come"

"Papa" Rk smiles & touches Malik's feet.

"Khush raho, Beta" he blesses Rk & gestures him to sit.

"Maa??" Rk asks Malik about Padmini.

"She is in Kitchen. I'll call her" Malik says & before he could make a move, madhu stops him & says "Papa, u sit with Rishab, i'll go give her a surprise." Malik nods & Rk smiles.

"Madhu..." Padmini slightly swats on madhu's hand when she stealthily tries to take a samosa from the plate kept on the counter from behind.

"Ah..Mama" she pouts in disappointment for being caught. "How do u know it was me?"

"This is your childhood habit madhu. Whenever I cook ur favorite chat or dish u come behind me & quickly take it & pops it in ur mouth before I see." Padmini says smilingly relishing the moment & madhu hugs her mama.

"How do u know we are coming?" Madhu asks still hugging her.

"Radhaji called me & told u both are coming here so I thought to cook yours & Damaadji's favorite dishes for lunch" Madhu nods.

"Mama, I missed u" Madhu says softly.

"Jhoot mat bolo, madhu. If u've really missed then u would have come to meet your mama earlier itself but see after 3 days u r coming to see me. U totally forgot us after marriage so don't talk to me" Padmini fakes anger & slightly pushes her away.

"Okay. But give me this samosa's, then I will go" she tries to take one from the tray.

"No. It's not for u. It's for my Son Rk. So move now. I will go greet him."

"Mama, I'm sorry." she holds her ears & pleads. "please give me one samosa...please mama" Padmini smiles seeing her childish antics & shakes her head "you are still a baby, madhu. When will you grow up? lo..khavo" she feeds her with a her own hand & madhu kisses her cheeks in delight.

"How is ur health madhu? Yesterday, Radhaji told me, u r not well" padmini asks concerned.

"Kuch nahi mama, just fever. Wait a minute, knowing I was not well, my Rishab left his camp & came to see me but you didn't come?? but u are accusing me that I forgot u guys."

"Madhu...don't forget I sent ur bhai to bring u here but u only denied" she reminds it. She grins sheepishly.

"Madhu, why suddenly u quit ur job? Is there any problem?" Padmini asks suspiciously

"No problem & all, mama. Its just that job didn't suit me" She brushes of the topic just like that.

"Rk is happy with u right? U r not troubling him a lot na..?" Padmini asks worriedly.

"Mama...don't forget i'm ur daughter...you should ask whether i'm happy with Rishab or whether he is keeping me happy? This is what every mother ask to their daughters in all serials & movies." Madhu growls.

"I know Rk will keep u happy so why should I ask u? I'm only worried about my son's happiness after all he is married to my shaitaan beti" padmini says as matter of fact while madhu mouth drops open in disbelief but she knows that her mother was right. Since their marriage her life was so blissful & she knows her Rishab was the sole reason. For him, to keep her happy was his life time mission. He was there for her on her beck & call. Even if she commits a big mistake he easily forgives her. He loves her in a way that no one had ever loved her but is he really happy with me?? am I troubling him a lot??

"Madhu..." Padmini calls bring her back from her thoughts.

"Mama, ur damaadji is waiting out to see u so shall we go?" she says little pissed though her inner self agrees with her mother but she was not ready to show directly & walks out quickly taking one more piece from the tray to munch.

"Maa, papa...so we will take our leave." Rk says smilingly.

"Rk beta...kuch aur dher aap dono rukona..." Padmini asks holding madhu's hand with her.

"Haan Rk...just now u both had lunch so stay for a while, take some rest & then u can go" Malik too insists.

"Maa, papa...i would love to stay for long but I have some works to do. Dad, asked me to go & see the wedding hall & check all the decorations. so..." He hesitantly looks at madhu who was looking down at her feet but he could clearly say she wants to spent some more time with her parents.

"Madhu, if u wish u can stay, I will take u back home in the evening after finishing my works or even u can stay the night here, tomorrow morning before the haldi ceremony starts I'll take u home." He suggests.

"Hmm...okay but take me with u this evening when u return home after finishing ur work." she says. He smiles & nods.

"Then RK, tonight's dinner also u should have with us." Padmini gently orders.

"Ji maa but on one condition, u should make my favorite kheer." Rk says.

"Pakka" Padmini promises.

"See u then, bye" Rk says & walks out & madhu follows him till the car.

"Thanks, Doctor" madhu says.

"What for? Oh, for letting u to spent some more time? I have no issues madhu, u could even stay a night" he offers.

"No. You came for me leaving all ur works from Nainital, then I wont leave u to stay alone." She says stubbornly. Rk smiles & nods.

"Rishab, u r happy with me right?" Madhu asks holding his hands & straightly looking into his eyes.

"Um...why suddenly u r asking this?" He asks her not getting the actual reason behind her doubt.

"Mama said she wanna ask u whether u are happy with her Shaitaan daughter?" she says embarrassed. He laughs. "Oh c'mon Biwi. She might be kidding u. if she seriously wants to know also, then tell her that i'm so happy with u & u r the best thing ever happened to me" he says sincerely & kisses on her forehead. "Now, go spent some quality time with them. They missed u"

"Will do" she smiles happily.

"Bye" she says & he waves his hand at madhu from the car & speed the car out of the house.

Next day morning, Mukkund trishna's haldi ceremony went well & on the same day, they had kept the Mehendi function at kundra mansion. All the ladies were engaged in getting their hands beautifully painted with Mehendi. The mansion was fully filled with girly giggles, laughter, singing, dancing & dol sounds. All the men were left jobless other than drooling their beautiful wives & fiance.

Trishna was sitting in front of the dressing table & looking at her Mehendi design in her hands & that's when she hears a soft knock on her door.

"Who is it?" Trish asks.

"Food" the reply came from outside.

"My hand is busy so I'll eat later. U can take that back" She tells

"Ur hand is busy but not mine." Rk says & enters into her room.

"Bhai??" She smiles happily. Yes, right from their childhood, whenever Trishna keeps mehendi, Rk will be the one to feed his little sister.

"Hmm...my little sister is gonna get married & further on mukkund will do this for u so will u give me the honor to feed my little sister for one last time before her marriage?"

"Of course, Bhai" She smiles & opens her mouth & Rk takes a piece of stuffed parata, Trishna's favorite one so he starts with it.

"Do u remember bhai? Whenever Mom scolds me, I go hide in that cupboard for hours but only u find me & secretly bring food for me to eat"

"Yes, I do remember but now don't go hide anywhere if anyone scold u, okay?" Rk laughs.

"Now she won't fit in any cupboard" Madhu says grinning & Both trish & Rk turns to see Madhu leaning on the wall near the door.

"Aww...u both look so cute. Its so moving to see u. ki si ki nasar na laghe...mera bhi!!" Madhu says smilingly.

"Had ur dinner? Did mukkund fed u? I couldn't see him around?" Trisn asks madhu.

"I Don't have a sweet bhai as urs, who cares whether his sister ate or not, if not he feeds her on his own hand but my fate, I have a moron idiot as bhai who is busy racing with sultan bhai on who will finish the Gulab jamuns first" Madhu sighs dramatically making Rk & trish chuckle.

"But u do have a sweet husband right?" Trish asks.

"That I do" Madhu grins.

"Madhu, tell me whether u ate or not? If not after finishing with trish I'll come for u" Rk says.

"Don't worry Doctor. I ate. I can't stay hungry for long so I asked Papa to feed me as mama also have mehendi in her hand. & Daddyji fed dipali bhabhi. Poor bhabhi, angry with Sultan bhai because of my bhai" she laughs.

"Hey, move...give some space for ur bhabhi to sit" Madhu orders trish while Rk continues to feed her.

"Trish show me ur design?"

"Beautiful but where is my bhai's name written?" madhu asks trish after searching for her bhai's name in both the hands.

"Here" Trishna shows her right hand where mukkund's name was written in small letters at the side of her thumb finger.

"That's so small. He will need a magnifying glass to find his name...Let him search for his name whole night & don't allow him to touch u until he finds it, okay? Then he will go mad." Madhu grins

"Did u do the same to bhai?? Did he took long time to find his name on ur wedding night?" Trish asks eagerly.

"Yes. He took hours to find his name but I was so stubborn not to let him touch unless he figures it out" Madhu lies. Rk gasps in shock.

Trish turns to Rk & asks "What?".

"Hey, she is lying. I don't even know any such rasam was there." Rk says truly.

"You cheater. U r planning to ruin my suhaag raat. I know u would have pounced on my bhai the next moment he entered the room but u r asking me to do this?" She chides while madhu grins sheepishly.

"U should have written his name little bigger then It would be easy for him to find. See how I have written my Rishab's name" Madhu says & shows her left hand where Rishab's name was written in the center of a heart in. Rk smiles seeing it.

"I'm full, bhai" Trish stops Rk from feeding more. Rk nods & wipes the morsel of food from the corner for her mouth with his thumb & places the plate on the side table.

"Shall we go?" Rk asks madhu. She nods.

"Good night. Take some rest" Rk says with a loving smile & presses a kiss on Trishna's forehead.

"Yes, take some rest because tomorrow u wont get it" Madhu winks making trishna blush & before madhu could says anything Rk drags her out of the room.

After helping madhu to change into her night gown as her Mehendi didn't dry yet. Then he went into the bathroom to take a shower & get ready for bed in his night dress. After coming out of bathroom, rk saw madhu on their bed reading some book kept on her folded legs & she was continuously pushing her loose hair away from her face. Rk sat beside her & gently places her hair strand on the side of her ear.

"Ah...this hair is irritating me. How many times i'll push this aside but its falling on my face again & again." She says irately.

"Come. I'll braid it. Then u can read the book freely" Rk says & Madhu turns her back to him so that he can braid her hair. Without using a comb, Rk efficiently braids her hair with his fingers.

"Your hair is so soft & silky. Smells so good too" Rk says & plants a kiss on top of her head.

"You seems an expert in braiding?. I feel so familiar with ur touch" Madhu says in surprise seeing how quickly he braids her reasonably long hair.

"oh! Years of practice, baby" Rk replies.

"You used to comb Trish's hair?" Madhu asks smilingly.

"Hmm...i do comb her hair at times. Mom taught me to braid & I practiced it in trish's hair but I learned it for someone else" He says with a hint of happiness as if he was relishing some pleasant memory or somebody very close to his heart which attracts madhu's attention & she decides to probe further.

"For whom u learned to braid?" Madhu asks curiously. Suddenly the jealousy side in her hits her.

"For a very special girl. I was 8 yrs then & I don't know anything about love & all & if u ask me now I would say she was my first love" his lips quirk up remembering the little girls face. Madhu heaves a sigh of relief.

"Puppy love huh?" Madhu teases Rk.

"So tell me about her & what made u to comb her hair?"

"You know madhu, she was one beautiful little girl with big doe eyes, chubby cheeks which I wished to pull hard & make her pinky cheeks even pinker but I didn't get a chance to do once" Rk says sadly.

"Why?" madhu asks feeling sad for her husband as he was not able to pull the little girls cheeks.

"Oh god, she was a cry baby. I was scared if I touch her whether she will cry more." Rk chuckles

"What age she was then? Ur class mate?" Madhu asks him.

"No. I was in 3^rd standard & She was in Lower kindergarten. She was 3 yrs old."

"What?" Madhu shouts in shock. "You loved a baby? She was 5 yrs smaller to u"

"Hey, hello, even we have 5 years age differences but u married me...now I can love a girl with 5yrs of age difference but not then... what stupid logic is this?" Rk asks.

"Okay, proceed" Madhu reluctantly agrees with what he said.

"Actually she had newly joined the school in which I studied & she was scared with the new surroundings & I guess she missed her parents which made her cry...one day during lunch period I came out of my class to have my lunch in ground & there I saw this little girl sitting alone crying. I felt pity for her so I went near her & asked why she was crying but she sobs holding her undone pony...For continuously two days I saw her in that same state & when I asked she gets scared of me & runs from that place...then finally on third day she open up to me that she misses her parents, she don't want to come to school & the boys in her class are bullying her & pulling her braid & not giving her band to tie it back"

"Oh poor, baby" Madhu sighs.

"I liked that little girl so much & I couldn't bear tears in her eyes so I asked my mom to teach me to braid hair & I steal Trish's bands & ribbon's to tie her...daily she comes to me with a messy hair & daily I braid her hair & have my lunch with her. You know what madhu, she has a very puny hands, she can't even hold the spoon properly, she takes an hour to eat 4 spoons of food so daily I used to feed her too...she became very close to me" Rk says with a smile plastered on his face.

"What's her name?" Madhu asks curiously.

"I don't know? I never asked her. Though we became close she never talks to me...she was a very calm, shy, innocent & silent girl with a dazzling smile which still I remember. Whenever u smile u remind me of her" Rk says & pecks on madhu's cheeks.

"Then??"

"Then one day my parents decided to put me in boarding school, I told them I like this school & I don't wanna go to other school as I don't want to miss her but soon they convinced me & before leaving the school, I approached to her class teacher along with My little girl & told about the boys bullying her & her teacher told she will take care of her & then i told her that I cant meet her in lunch further as I was changing my school & after a long time she cried again, I guess for missing me..." Rk says sadly & madhu holds his hand & encouraged him to continue...

"Then...then she hugged me & said "I LOVE YOU, Superboy" & kissed on my cheek & ran away from me" Rk ends the story & turns to madhu to see her smiling & she leans forward & kisses him on his cheek.

"What for this?" Rk asks point his cheek where she kissed. She smiles.

"Rishab, can u please take my bag from the cupboard & give it to me?" Madhu asks him

"Now?" Rk asks. She nods. Then he walks to the cupboard & takes her bag kept on the top shelf & places it on the bed & madhu asks him to unzip the bag & take all the things out & he did as per her instructions. Then madhu took one album & a metal box & gave it to Rk.

"For me?" Rk asks. "Yes" She replies. Rk first opens the album to see madhu's childhood pictures.

"Turn, turn..fast" Madhu asks Rk to skip all the photos & see a particular photo.

"Hey, wait, let me see biwi...aww...u r looking so cute & so small in this pic? When was it taken?" Rk asks seeing a new born madhu's pic.

"When I was 9 days old, on my naming ceremony...that's what mama said." he nods.

"Dont see that" madhu quickly covers the next pic.

"Why? Take...take ur hand...i want to see" Rk insists & she closes her eyes in embarrassment & Rk laughs loudly seeing a 5 or 6 months old baby lying on her front with only her underwear.

"C'mon, yaar...its just baby madhu...i have seen my biwi madhu even without this piece of cloth" Rk grins widely. She pokes him with her elbow for teasing her. "Will you shut your mouth & see? Or I won't let u see further" She asks pissed but her cheeks turned red. "Okay, sorry" he presses is lips to stifle his grin.

"Your are looking like an angel in this white frock. When was this taking?"

"My first birthday" She says. He takes the photo close to him & kisses on it & wishes "A very belated happy birthday, angel"

"Thanks, husband"

Then he saw many pics of madhu, her first foot print, madhu on her bicycle, madhu giving potato fries to a puppy, baby madhu holding a kitten on her hands close to her face, madhu on a swing, madhu eating ice cream, madhu combing her barbie dolll... & Rk turns the next page & saw madhu in her school uniform. "Did u took this photo on ur first day of school?" Rk asks not looking at the pic closely & madhu looks at him surprised & asks him to open the box she had given to him. He opened the box, his eyes went wide & quickly he looks at the photo then at madhu who was smiling at him.

Rk gives her a heart melting smile & takes the Ribbons & bands from the box which he had put for the little girl & holds it tight in his hand & keeps it close to his heart.

"Omg! I can't believe that my little girl is my biwi...I'm married to my first love..." Rk laughs.

"I'm your last love too..." she quickly says.

"Yes, if I love any other girl then it would be our daughter" He kisses on her forehead.

"Do u remember my face or do u remember our childhood days?" Rk asks madhu.

"No. I was just 3 then how could I remember the events which took place 20 yrs back" She shakes her head.

"Then how u figured out that girl was u??"

"When u said the word "Super boy" I vaguely remember saying it to someone & also as I said ur touch was very familiar when u braid me... & whenever I see these Ribbons & bands I ask mama why she was preserving it, she said that it was not mine but someone else & I used to keep it safe when I was a child so she also preserved it...haha...it's Trishna's property...i should give it back to her" Madhu says

"Hey, what she will do with this now. Just keep with u or give it to me, I'll keep it in my little girls memory" he takes the box from her & places it safely in his drawer.

"Unbelievable...after 20 yrs destiny brought us together" Madhu says surprised still not able to believe they knew each other years back itself. After this only their parents became business partners, then she & trish became college friends & now she is Kundra bahu married to the boy she loved when she was small.

"Yeah, I feel so" Rk agrees. "But still I can't believe that u were the same little girl"

"Why?"

"She was so calm, a girl with few words but u...kitna bolti hai tum...u eat my brain, biwi" Rk chuckles. Madhu frowns.

"But u still are the same cry baby & u possess the same innocence."

"I'm not a cry baby" She pouts.

"Ahaan..." He raises a brow. "Madhu, come here" Rk asks her to come close & She scoots near him & looks up at him wondering for what he called her close? He gazes at her passionately & She got lost in his deep dark eyes & he slowly raises his palms to her face & cups her face & gently he caresses her cheeks with his thumb & madhu closes her eyes & parts her lips inviting him but suddenly Rk pulls her cheeks hard making her scream in pain.

"AHHH...You idiot. It's paining" she hits him on his chest.

"Hey, i'm sorry but finally I fulfilled my wish of pulling my little girl's cheeks. It's pink now" He grins & she too grins forgetting her anger.

"U are still the same loving & caring person not able to bear my tears...u still braid me, feed me...u r my same Super boy" she pulls him & plants a kiss on his cheeks.

"Hmm...i heard u calling me "Super boy" & got the cheek kiss too but don't you think something is missing?" Rk asks her expectantly.

PART - 18

"No, please. Don't leave me...please..." She cries in her sleep.

"Madhu..." Rk shakes her awake.

"Baby, wake up" Rk leans up & strokes her wet cheeks & she opens her blinking twice to see where she was. Then she sits up & shakes her head trying to clear her mind. Her heart was beating fast & she tries to control her pounding heart by taking a steady breathe. Rk gently wipes the sweat on her forehead with his palm.

"Baby, are you okay? You were having a bad dream" he says gently & switches on the side lamp so they were bathed with dim light & he looks at her, his face etched with concern.

"Oh Rishab!" she cries his name & hugs him tight.

"I'm here...i'm here...you are safe...you are at home...calm down, baby" he hugs her protectively & ruffles her hair with one hand & strokes her hand with other soothing her.

"wo..i...Rishab...I had..." she breathes heavily.

"hey, don't panic. Everything is fine...i'm here" he says, his voice gentle & soothing like he was talking to a cornered wild animal, tenderly he smooths her hair back from her face & caresses her cheek.

"I had a bad dream...where... where u leaving me in dark & walking away from me...please Rishab, don't leave me...please...i...i need you, always" she says crying against his chest.

"I'm here for u & I won't leave u ever. Its just a silly nightmare baby...look at me" he gently pushes her away from the hug & takes her head between his hands & wipes her tears with his thumb, then he kisses her forehead & her tear stained cheeks comforting her.

"Promise me that u wont leave me...promise me..." she holds her hand out for him to promise her.

"I promise, I wont leave you & our baby as long as I live in this world" he promises & hugs her again.

"You want water?" he asks. She nods. Then he pours a glass of water for her & made her drink.

"Sleep, baby. I'm here with you" he made her lie back on the mattress & he too joined her & she curls close to him, hugging him tight & he gently combs her hair with his finger & soon she drifted to deep sleep.

"Hello, madhu" Rk says picking up her call in the second ring.

"Hi, busy?" madhu asks though she knows he was busy in work as she could recognize from his tone.

"Yeah, i'm attending my patient...is anything important?? you okay?" he asks concerned.

"Um...i'm okay. Just thought to talk with you...well, u r busy so I wont hold u...bye"

"Hmm...i'll call u later, baby" he says & ends the call.

"Dad? How are you? All good?" Rk asks attending his fathers call.

"Rishu, we all r good. You & madhu fine right?" he asks.

"Yeah, dad, we are doing good. You said u, mom & mama, papa will come & meet us so when are you coming?"

"Rishu, I called you to tell that only...actually we won't be able to come as u know only 2 more weeks are there for trishna & mukkund's wedding & here we all are hell busy with the preparation work...anyways you both will be coming here only so we could meet u then, okay?" Mohan says.

"Hmm...yeah, right dad. We will come by this weekend" Rk informs

"Great!"

"Is the wedding preparation going well dad? It my little sister's marriage but I couldn't be there to look after & take part in the preparation work. I miss u all, dad" Rk tells sadly.

"Rishu, don't feel bad, preparations are going in full swing but still lot more work is pending & u have to do all that when u come here, okay?" he gently warns.

"Will love to do anything for my sister, dad. Madhu will be ecstatic if I tell we are going Mumbai" he said with a smile.

"yes, rishu."

"Dad. Is mom with u?"

"No. all the ladies are out for shopping" Mohan says with a huge sigh. Shopping?? Thank God! Madhu is not with them.

"You didn't go with them, dad?" Rk asks cheekily.

"No, my son. At this age i'll even join the army but will never join the ladies for shopping" hearing this Rk couldn't help but laugh.

"you are laughing at you dad, rishu?" Mohan asks little seriously.

"No, dad. Its just... We are sailing on the same boat...even I asked madhu to kill me but not to call me for shopping" he laughs.

"God, these women are crazy & insatiable...they will go on & on searching for best of best...poor salesman." He says little pissed.

"Right, dad"

"Okay, beta, I ll call u later"

"Bye dad" he says & hangs up the call.

(At madhu's office)

Madhu was resting her head on her folded arms on the desk & trying to come out of the nightmare she had yesterday night. She couldn't concentrate on her work but think only about her Rishab. She called him but couldn't talk much as he was busy in work. Suddenly the phone ring startles her & she wakes up from her sleep which she didn't even know when it took over. She rubs her face with her palm & took the receiver to her ear.

"Hello, mady. Come to my cabin, now" sikky orders & hangs up before she could reply. She wonder what it could be & reluctantly made her way to his cabin which is next to her room. He usually call her through the glass wall but from the day Rk asked her to keep the blinds down she obliged to him.

"May I come in?" madhu gently knocks the door & peeks her head in.

"Come" Sikky replies not taking his eyes from the file he was holding.

"Um..why u called me sikky? Is anything important? Tell me what work I should do?" she asks politely.

"Mady, u know we got the deal & u said you were not part of it as u joined the office lately but from now on I want u to work on it & complete the assignment before the given time so that we could built up trust in their views & grab many more contracts from them, so will you?" Sikky asks expectantly.

"Of course, Sikky. I love to work in that project" she smiles.

"Great. Then this weekend i'll be going to France to sign the final contract & I would like you to accompany me" He says casually but she looks up at him stunned.

"Me? I mean why I should come with u?"

"Come on mady! From now on u are gonna be the project head & I want u to meet the parties" he insists her.

"Um...can't they come here?"

"I tried asking the party to come here but what to do, if we want to work with international companies then we should go by their convenience, Right?" he reasons her.

"Yeah, but...I'll ask my husband & give my word to u" she hesitates.

"What's there to ask? You r grown up independent woman then what's the need to ask ur husband?? is he so controlling?? u don't go against his words?? u won't make ur own decision?? I think u lost ur freedom after marriage?? That's why i'm not tied up with this crappy relationship" Sikky says disgustedly & all this while madhu glares at him irately & finally decides to give him a piece of mind once he ends his rant.

"Sikky, enough. I value this relationship a lot & if u don't know anything about marriage then don't talk nonsense about it & by the way, my Rishab is no way a controlling husband & he have given full freedom to live my life the way I wish & he have supported me with all my decision, okay" she says politely though her eyes were blazing with anger.

"Woah..woah...Cool, mady. I'm sorry! I didn't mean it wrongly. Mady, the other reason for asking u to come with me is, you have been there so you know the place better than me & u also speak french fluently...so all are plus for my company" He says calmly.

"Well, I ll decide & let u know Sikky"

"Take ur own time, mady" he smiles. She reciprocates & leaves his cabin.

"Hi" Rk says smilingly when madhu opens the door for him.

"Hi, Doctor. How was your day?" she asks returning is smile.

"Hectic. Sorry I couldn't call u back." he says & pulls her in his embrace.

"Hmm..okay. I missed u today" she says hugging him

"Missed me?? why? This is our daily routine & I didn't go far away from u & the only thing I didn't do today was I didn't call u innumerable times & disturb u, actually should feel good for that, then what's there to miss me? Are u still brooding over the nightmare?? I said u not to worry about it. Don't stress yourself madhu" he says holding her chin facing straight to her eyes & kisses her forehead.

"What are you cooking? Smells good" He asks immediately to change her attention.

"Your favorite, daalmakni" she smiles.

"For one day u didn't call me & I missed u so much & I don't know what i'll do without u in france for a week" she says sadly.

"France?" he asks her confused.

"Well, I wanted to tell u about that. I have a company meeting there so myself & Sikky are going france this weekend" she says & he looks blank at her.

"Come lets eat" Rk says softly.

"You didn't say anything about what I said now?" She asks in surprise.

"Lets eat first & we will talk" he says & walks to the wash basin to clean his hands while madhu place the dishes on dining table.

"Why u r just picking the food but not eating? U didn't like it?" madhu asks seeing him lost.

"No! Nothing. Its good!! u eat, baby" he says with a smile. She nods & went back to eat & he watches her complete her plate but his plate was hardly touched.

"Leave that, u don't have to do the dishes. We are paying that lady pabho to do that work." she wonders what his cooking him & why his tone getting varied?

"Here. Have ur medicines" he hands her vitamin pills. She takes it & swallows it with water.

"Now, tell me, what were u telling earlier" He asks sitting on couch & madhu follow suits.

"Um...this weekend i'm going france. Will u miss me?" She asks

"Why would I miss you??" He asks her with a smirk.

"What?" she asks in utter shock.

"i said I wont miss you because i'm not letting u go. Simple" he shrugs.

"Rishab, I really want to go. U know we recently sealed a new international deal & from now on i'm gonna take incharge of that project so it's necessary for me to be there. Moreover, I have been in France though shortly but I know the place quite well & language too... That's all good for Sikky's company" she says taking his hand with her & gently squeezing it.

"For his company or HIS company??" he asks sarcastically.

"What do u mean?" She frowns.

"Don't be obtuse! U know what I mean" He says turning his face.

"No, I don't." she turns his face to look at him.

"Well, madhu. I don't want a fight & my decision is final. You. Are. Not. Going. To. France. Clear?" he says sternly & raises up to leave to bed room.

"Sikky was right. U r so like a common husband wanting to control his wife & keep her at his toe" she hisses.

"What did you say?" he stops midway & he turns to her in surprise. She looks away from him .

"I'm keeping u at my toe?? how could u say that?? don't I give u the freedom u deserve?? don't I allow u to work in that company though i'm not really pleased with it?? I always wanted to protect you & keep you save but you...if u feel like i'm controlling then why you didn't say? Tell me madhu?? or I didn't give that much freedom too??" He runs his fingers through his hair & takes a steady calming breathe.

"Well, whatever you think you can think about me, I don't give a damn, all I care for is to keep what's mine safe & secure so i'm not letting you go with that..." he clenches his teeth & once again runs his hand on his hair.

"That's not your decision" She shout & crossing her hands & glaring at him.

"Don''t shout. I'm talking in a calm tone & I expect the same from you. I don't want you to waste you energy in shouting too"

"I ll give you 2 options madhu, either you quit the job or you cancel the trip! Decision is all yours" he says with finality & she gapes at him.

"I'll go for the trip" she says stubbornly. He sighs.

"Okay, fine. As your husband I have no right on you, if I inflict my right then u would say i'm controlling, right?

But as your gynecologist i'm sincerely warning you not to take up this trip as u r not up to long flight journey, Got it?" he warns her.

"So when u said "eat baby" you meant your baby & not me? All your care & concern is for your baby" she accuses him.

"Yes, all my concern is for my Baby" he points at her.

"I won't believe you. To stop me from going, u r taking our baby's name" she blurts out.

"I can't believe you. How could u think so low about me?? don't you trust me?? do u think I'll bring in our baby in our fight?? I hate to be doubted, madhu" He says gritting his teeth & quickly picks up his phone & calls someone while madhu looks down at her feet in guilt for accusing him. Crap!! Crap!! what's all nonsense coming out of my mouth!!! how could i accuse him like that!! shit!! she thoughts.

"Hello, Mrs.Raichand... Rishab here... How are you Doctor?...Sorry to disturb you at this time but I need a favour, can you please come to my apartment...oh, great...thanks Doctor" he says & hangs up the call.

"My senior, Mrs.Raichand, she is also a gynecologist, u could say a "nice gynecologist", she is living two streets away from our place & she is coming to check you & clarify all your doubts which you find fake hearing from me. In fact I would have gone to her place to bring her here but then u will say, I asked her to say so & u won't believe her too, after all you didn't believe your own husband's words then how u'll believe hers. So now she is coming on her own & i'm giving you two the intro then u can take her in & ask whatever you want & if she grants you permission & says u r all fit to board a trip, then who i'm to stop you" he says hurtfully & walks to the balcony. She stock stills at her place looking at his retreating form & regrets her own words as she could see pure hurt & pain in his eyes.

"Welcome, Dr.Raichand. Meet my wife, Madhubala & madhu, she is Dr.Raichand, a very good gynecologist in Delhi." Rk introduces a lady on her late forty's to madhu

"Hello lovely lady. How are you doing?" she smiles warmly at madhu.

"Um..I'm good! Thanks Doctor" she smiles back.

"It's really late but still you came, thanks & sorry for disturbing you, Doctor" Rk politely apologizes her.

"Come on, Rishab. We, Doctor's should never see time & all. When need comes we should be there, right?" She asks. He nods.

"You proceed, Doctor. I'll wait out" Rk leads them to the bed room & walks out.

"All done" Rk asks when they both comes out of the room. They nod.

"Madhu, you clarified all your doubts?" He asks softly. She nods still not able to face him.

"Please come, Dr.Raichand. I'll drop you home" He offers.

"Oh! Thanks Rishab" she smiles & walks past him.

"I will drop her & come. You lock the door & go to sleep. It's already late. I have my key so i'll open & come in" He gently says & walks out behind the Doctor.

"How is she, Doctor?" Rk asks while driving her to her home.

"I know she is little weak & losing her wait instead of gaining & her BP is also not stable, that's my biggest worry" Rk says before she could answer to his question.

"Yes, u r so right. Did she started having morning sickness?" she asks him.

"No, not yet" He replies. She nods.

"She asked me about going for a business trip & I clearly advised her not to take up the trip as it may cause the fetus"

"Baby, Doctor" Rk gently corrects her.

"Um...Sorry Rishab. Yes, of course, Baby" she corrects quickly. "Well, she agrees with me"

"Good" he sighs in relief.

"Your wife said I should not come to check her up hence forth as you are there to take care of her & also said you are the best gynecologist in the world for her" she smiles pleasantly.

"She said that?" Rk asks in surprise.

"Yes. She is so in love with you, Young man" she gently pats his shoulder.

"I know" Rk smiles. Then he drops her at her place not before thanking her once again & apologizing for disturbing her.

When he returns madhu was asleep, curled in one end of the bed facing away from him. He went near her & pulls the blanket for her & kissed on her forehead & switches off the light leaving a dim night lamp & walks out to the living area & launches himself on the couch & closes his eyes trying to forget the shittier day.

"Who are you?" a lady asks.

"First you tell me who are you?" Rk asks surprised seeing a old lady opening his house door.

"I was the one who asked the question first so you tell me, who are you?" she asks rudely.

"I'm the owner" Rk replies dryly.

"Owner of what? House or the person living here?" she asks.

"Both" he snarls. "Excuse me, if you could move I may get into my house" He says to the lady who's blocking his way. She steps aside glaring at him.

"Hey, Doctor. You are home soon today?" Madhu runs to him & hugs him & hugs her side ways still not taking his eyes off of the stranger lady.

"Behsherm!! Behsherm!!" the lady mutters & hit her head with her finger in disgust seeing them hug each other.

Rk glares at her angrily not able to take her audacity anymore.

"Biwi, who is this lady?" Rk asks madhu.

"I'm your new..." the lady starts to talk but Rk glares at her coldly & says "I'm not talking to you so will you please stay in your place"

"Um... Rishab, she is our servant maid. Pabho, u may leave now but come early in the morning" Madhu says politely & she leaves not before glancing Rk.

"Pabho?"

"Everyone in this society calls her Pabho & she asked me to call the same"

"We are new here & how could you trust a stranger & let her in our house" Rk asks bemused.

"Um.. she said she works for every house in this apartment & asked me whether I need her help, initially I hesitated but then I asked one of our neighbor & she told Pabho is good at work & I need a hand in household chores so I accepted her offer."

"She looks like an old witch & she holds high attitude. I don't like her" he says disapprovingly.

"you can't judge a person by their looks, doctor. Give her some time. If she is not good at work or stepping her line in our business then we will remove her" she shrugs.

"Whatever" he says & sits on the couch rubbing his fingers over his head.

"Rishab, you okay?" She asks in concern.

"Head ache" he says weakly.

"Shall I call the Doctor?" she asks. He stares at her for a while & replies "In a day probably u must be calling me as Doctor, Doctor, Doctor... for nearly 1000 times then how could you forget that & ask me such question?"

"Um... sorry" she says embarrassed.

"Don't be! It just makes me laugh but i'm in no mood to laugh. I don't need a Doctor but I need..."

"What?" she asks raising her brow.

"Definitely not what you have in your mind" he smirks.

"Don't tease me, Doctor" she hits him gently on his arms.

He chuckles & says "I need a cup of coffee. could you please get me, Biwi?"

"Coming up now with your coffee. You take rest." she gently rubs his arms & went in to the kitchen to make coffee for him.

When she returns to the hall with the coffee mug he was not there so she went in to the bed room to see Rk working in laptop.

"Doctor, what are you doing in laptop. You have head ache so why cant you take rest?" she admonishes him.

"Biwi, tomorrow I have a guest lecture in a medical college so i'm preparing the presentation." he replies.

"Well, you could do that later. Here. Have your coffee first." she hands him the coffee mug.

"Thanks" he says & takes the mug from her hand.

"Can I help you?" she asks him softly.

"Haan... what?" he asks her.

"Can I prepare the PPT for you. You just give me the information & i'll make the presentation for you, later you can check it. What say?"

"You will?" he asks. She nods with a soft smile.

"Here" he hands her the laptop & pen drive to her. "Thanks, Biwi"

"Any time, Doctor. You just lie down & sleep for a while then u may feel better. I'll wake you up for dinner" she says. Rk kept the mug on the bed side table & lies on madhu's lap startling her. Oh what's this?

"Are you missing home?" Madhu asks gently running her fingers on his soft silky hair.

"Hmm... No! You are enough for me" he says & tightly grips her by her waist. She smiles & awkwardly works on the laptop while he sleep peacefully.

"How are you feeling now?" Madhu asks while serving him dinner.

"Good. Feeling fresh after hours of sleep & a hot shower" he replies.

"Nice. um.. Doctor, I need to tell you something" she takes a seat beside him.

"Yes, tell me" he keeps his spoon down & looks up at her.

"Today, my friend Sikky called me. The one we met in shopping mall" she reminds him.

"How he got your number. He only gave his card rite?" Rk asks.

"Um... afternoon I was getting bored so I was surfing & he gave me a friend request in FB & then he came on line, we chatted for a while, then he asks for my phone number which I gave, then he called me immediately" she replies. "Why he called you?" he asks. "Just to talk. He asked how i'm, what i'm doing, where i'm working & all, I said i'm searching for a job, then he said there's one job vacancy in his company & he offers me that job." she says & looks up at him to see his reaction but he kept silent.

"What exactly you are asking for?" he asks after a while.

"I'm not asking for anything. I'm just telling, I'm gonna take up his offer & join the work" she says. He frowns.

"If you have already taken the decision then why are you saying to me?" he pushes his plate slightly & stood up from the chair & moves to the balcony. She follows him back.

"You don't think it's necessary to discuss with me before taking any decision? First the servant maid & now this" he sighs & runs his finger on his already messy hair to restrain his anger.

"Rishab, I'm sorry. I should have asked you before deciding. I thought you won't be having any issues of me working in his company" she says softly & turns him to look at her.

"I hardly know that guy but now you have decided to work with him. Well, do as you wish" he sighs.

"Wherever I go for a work, the person is gonna be a stranger to you, at least here, Sikky is my friend, you have met him too, then what's bothering you" she asks in a gentle tone.

"All that f**king bothers me is your safety" he shouts. She takes a step back in fear. He closes his eyes & shakes his hear to compose himself.

"Okay! I'm sorry. Do as you wish but try, I mean try & keep yourself out of any danger"

"If you don't like me working in his company then its okay. I'll find some other job" she murmurs looking down at her knotted fingers.

"No. It's okay. I blindly trust your decision & pray it's right." he whispers & pulls her in his embrace & presses a kiss on her forehead.

"Breakfast" Madhu asks when Rk was hurriedly wearing his shoes.

"No, Biwi. I'm already late. I need to be in that college at 9. After the lecture i'll have my breakfast out. Did you keep the pen drive in my bag" he asks. "Yeah. It's in that small zip. But you din't check the presentation?" she asks.

"I'm sure you would have done it perfectly. Thanks hun." he says. She smiles.

"Good luck for your new job. Have a nice day, madhu" he says & chastely kisses on her lips. "Rishab, I'm sorry for yesterday" she whispers.

"It's okay, baby" he smiles.

"You too have a nice day, dear" she waves her hand.

"Hey Mady, u r looking lovely & changed a lot in this 2 years. Glad u took up my offer. I hope we make a great team" Sikky says enthusiastically.

"Thank you. I hope so" Madhu smiles.

"Ria, this's Madhubala. Madhu this is my P.A, Ria" Sikky introduces each other. "Well, Ria ask Roma to guide madhu & You please show her cabin" he orders softly.

"Sir" Ria nods & walks with madhu to show her cabin.

"Ma'am, this is your cabin" Ria shows a room next to sikky's cabin.

"Nice room. Please call me madhu" she smiles.

"Hey, hello ladies." a middle aged tall, curly haired lady enters the room without knocking on the door. "hi, madhu. You are looking pretty. Okay! Boss told me about you & from today i'll help u in your training process"

"Sorry. I'm at the disadvantage. May I know ur name, please"

"Roma" she extends her hand & madhu shakes.

"Oh you are married." Roma asks looking at madhu's mangalsutr. "So tell me who is that lucky man who married this angel & what he is doing"

"My husband's name is Rishab kundra & he is a Doctor, Gynecologist" she smiles.

"Oh how cool is that" Roma smiles.

"Okay, madhu. We 'll let u be yourself. If u need any help don't hesitate to ask us. We are friends now" Roma says & Ria nods in agreement & madhu smiles.

"Haan... Mama. We are good. Everything is fine here... even I got a job in Bhatia group of companies... No, Mama. My college friend sikky owns the company & he offers me the job & today I started working...how are you all?... Missing me or not?... okay... what?... when?... tomorrow!!... okay! I 'll for sure... i'll take care of My Rishab... bye... love you, too" she hangs up the call after talking to her Mama & turns to see Rk smiling at her leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.

"Hey, Doctor. When did you come?" she asks smilingly & hugs him

"Just now. How are Mama, Papa & Mukkund?" he asks.

"All are good" she replies & takes a towel out from the cupboard.

"How was your 1^st day at office?" he asks.

"Good, Thank you. Nice environment. Made two friends, Roma & Ria. I hope i'll fit in the job"

"Good" he says & takes the towel from her hand & walks in to the bathroom to freshen up.

"Mummyji... we are good, how are you all?...just now I talked to mama & she told me about it but since it's my first time I want to know the procedures so I called you...of course mummyji... I'll... you please tell me what & all I should do?... okay... wait i'll note it down... got it mummyji... I wish we were there with you all in this occasion...Rishab is in shower...wait, he's come out from the bathroom. I'll give the phone to him..." she holds the phone on line & passes it to Rishab & mouths "mummyji" then he takes it from her hand smilingly.

"Hello mom... all good mom?... hmm... What?... i'll talk to her... Mom, you know I don't believe in all this then why?...okay... bye... take care." he hangs up.

"Tomorrow karvachauth?" he asks her. She nods.

"Mom told you are keeping vrat?" she nods again.

"I don't want you to keep any vrat for me" he says sternly.

"Why?" she asks.

"because I don't believe in all this" he shrugs.

"but I do believe & this is my 1^stkarvachauth & i'll keep fasting for you" she says stubbornly.

"Madhu, No. you can't stay hungry for a long time. I don't want you to spoil your health so I don't want you to do this for me." he says with finality.

"I can manage for one day & it's not your decision" she blurts out.

"Oh well, you are right! Nothing is my decision in this house. You act only as per your wish" he says & hurriedly pulls in a tshirt over his head.

"Rishab what's wrong with you?"

"I don't want to fight with you madhu so just stop it here." he sighs.

"Just do me one favor"

"What?"

"Come early tomorrow & break my fast, please." she pleads. He glares her for seconds & walks out sans any reply.

Next day Rk went to hospital early before she wakes up & later she woke up with a fuzzy head, she was wondering whether Rishab was right? Whether she can keep the fast for long time? Will he come & break her fast? Of course he will. He may be angry with her but he will never let her suffer. Then she brushed her thoughts & swung her legs out of the bed to get ready for the day, after getting ready she called Roma & informed that she won't be coming to office.

At evening madhu got dressed in a beautiful red color lenga, applied minimal make up, her long hair was loosely gathered on one side of her shoulder. Then she made all arrangements for the puja. She's not heard a word from her husband since yesterday night. She wants to call him & check whether he is alright but hesitates to do.

She had talked to her mama & her mummyji as they had completed their fast as soon as the moon arrived but here her moon is making her wait. It was around 9 & she was feeling dizzy since she haven't ate anything not even a drop of water. After making her mind she calls Rk to remind him if he's forgot that today is karvachauth but he didn't attend her call. He is not attending my call! Is he angry with me still? but then he never ignores my call however mad he is with me! He might be busy in work or he might be in OR so his phone might be in silent.She tells herself & tiredly rests on the couch

* ting tong *

she wakes with a start & staggers on her foot to open the door. She opens the door & there her husband was looking at her in awe. She was looking dead gorgeous but pale & weak.

"Madhu, i'm so sorry. You asked me to come early but I suddenly got held up with some urgent work, so please forg..." she cuts him off with a kiss on his lips & says "I know Doctor. No need to explain just break my fast, please"

"Sure" he says & places his belongings on the table & straight away walks behind her to the balcony not even minding to take a shower as he was not willing to make her wait for some more time.

She did the puja & took aarthi to him smilingly, though he has no belief in all these puja he just smiled seeing her happy face. Then he takes the pitcher of water & made her drink quenching her thirst. Then he takes a sweet from the talli & was about to feed her but she staggers back holding her head & she drops the plate in her hand & falls back but in lightening speed he holds her firmly & safe in his arms."Madhu...Biwi" he taps her cheeks but she went unconscious. Then he took her in his arms to their room & made her lie on bed.

After some time, she stirs & tries hard to open her heavy eye lids. Ah! Where i'm? Oh in my bed. Ah! My head is throbbing!! Where is my doctor? She tilts her head & blinks twice to see his intense gaze falling on her. Then she struggles to sit up & he holds her shoulder & made her sit & adjusted the pillow on her back.

Oh my! I'm so weak! My doctor was right. Well, when he was wrong? But still i'm happy I lasted for this much time without eating anything! Great achievement! May be next time i'll get some more experience.

"Um..Doctor..."

"Don't talk anything. Just drink this" He says & made her drink a grass of lime juice. Then he feeds her sweet & all the other food she had cooked for them for dinner.

"You din't eat" she asks softly.

"I'll eat later" he says. "Tomorrow you are coming with me to my hospital" he adds.

"Why?"

"For your check up"

"Why? I'm perfectly alright!! I just fainted because I didn't eat anything from morning but now i'm feeling good, then what's the need for check up" she asks.

"Don't start again, Madhubala. Just do as you are told for once" he taunts her. She looks down at her knotted fingers sadly for getting scold.

"Here" he tips her chin up & thrust the food in her mouth.

"Enough. I'm full" she stops him from feeding.

"Oh God, please help me. you haven't eaten enough so just keep your mouth shut & eat" he growls.

"How I will eat if my mouth is shut?" she asks wanting to make the atmosphere light.

"I don't want your smart mouth now. I told you not to keep fasting for me because you can't & still you kept & pushed yourself to this condition. Do you have any idea how much it hurts me to see you in this state, Madhubala?" he asks in a little raised tone but didn't shout not wanting to frighten her.

"Sorry" she mutters.

"You should be. Have" he continues feeding her.

"Why are you calling me 'madhubala' now? She asks curiously.

"That's your name right?" he says warily.

"Yes. But u usually call me madhu or biwi or baby" she asks.

"i generally call you madhu because you like it or when i'm emotional, biwi - when i'm in naughty mood, baby- when i'm in too much of love with you & Madhubala - when i'm mad at you. Got ur answer?"

"Why madhubala when u r angry?" she asks him still not getting his logic behind that.

"You don't like calling you madhubala so when i'm angry I call you that way so that you too get angry & to set the score" he shrugs & she nods.

"But I'm not getting angry when you call me like that. You are caressing the word with your tongue & it sounds so sweet & make me love my name" she smiles. Automatically his lips curves to a smile. "What i'm going to do with you,biwi? You are not letting me to hold my anger for long" He shakes his head & places the plate aside & made her lie again & covered her with the duvet.

"Sleep, Baby" he presses a kiss on her forehead & switched off the light for her to sleep.

"Sister, Did you check her BP" Rk asks a nurse.

"Yes, Doctor. Her BP is normal" she replies.

"Thanks. You may leave" He tells.

"See, everything is normal then I don't know what for you are making me wait" madhu pouts. He looks up at her & went back to scribble something on his note pad. While she starts playing with the crystal paper weight on his table.

"Here, Study this Do's & Don't 's well" he passes her a sheet & places the prescription paper in his shirt pocket.

"Oh my! This is gross. U should not list what I should do & what not" she scowls.

"You ought to follow those Do's & don'ts because you are pregnant" he says softly.

"What?" she asks shocked.

"Congratulations, Mrs.Kundra. You are pregnant" he smiles.

"why? Why you did this to me?" she asks angrily.

"Hey, madhu. What are u doing here?" Rk asks her standing near the garden with adi in her arms when all were busy getting ready for the wedding.

"Oh doctor, actually Adi was getting cranky with all the noise & started crying so I thought to bring him out for a while before the wedding starts so that he can get some fresh air." She replies.

"Oh okay. When will u get ready?"

"I will have Adi with me for a while till Dipali bhabhi gets free from getting Trish ready. Then I will give Adi to her & I will get ready for the function."

"hmm...where is my suit?" Rk asks her while playing with Adi's hand.

"I have kept it ready on the bed. Now, go get ready fast" she orders. He nods & plants a kiss on Adi's head & walks in.

"Rk, can I come in?" Dipali asks peeping her head in to Rk's room while Rk was combing his hair.

"Um..come in, bhabhi." he smiles at her politely.

"Rk, I thought to meet u before itself but I didn't get the time as u were busy in wedding preparations so thought to talk to u now. Can u give me 2 minutes?"

"Yeah, sure. Tell me" Rk nods.

"Rk, i'm sorry...sorry for everything. I behaved like a fool. I don't know what made me to say such things to u the other day. now I understood that still sultan loves me & cares for him. I didn't understand is love for me & Adi. He was so working hard to stand on his own to give us a better life but I took everything in a wrong way but glad u opened my eyes. I took ur love, care & affection in a wrong way. I feel ashamed of myself for growing such thoughts. Only because of me u guys moved to delhi leaving ur home. I'm sorry" Dipali genuinely apologizes.

"Bhabhi please...please don't say sorry. I agree we shifted to Delhi to put some distance between us & I also wanted Sultan to realise that his family needs him & he should take care of them & i'm glad he is holding his responsibilities well. But that's not the only reason for us shifting, I really wanted to work in new environment so we moved. But we will come back to our family sooner or later" He said with a smile.

"Thanks Rk" Dipali smiles back & both turns towards the door side where madhu enters with a sleeping Adi in her arms.

"Um..i...i'm sorry to disturb u" Madhu says with little hesitance.

"Hey, its fine. We are done with talking" Rk calls her in.

"Bhabhi, Adi has slept so I thought to put him on bed but since u were not in ur room I thought to keep him with me" Madhu says.

"Thanks madhu. Now u give Adi to me & u go get ready." Dipali tells & takes a sleeping Adi from her hand & then she walks out.

"u didn't ask me why she came?" Rk asks madhu when she walks straight to her wardrobe to take dress.

"I know she came to apologize to u. she even said sorry to me 2 days back & I said there is no need for any apologizes"

"Hmm...even I said the same...okay, tell me how i'm looking" Rk asks her.

"Hot & dashing" She winks & walks into the dressing room leaving behind a grinning Rk.

"Rishab, I ll go check whether Trish is ready or not & u go welcome the guest." Mdhu instructs Rk & they both steps out of their room & walks hand in hand & suddenly madhu stops on her track.

"What?" Rk asks her.

"Wait" she gestures him to keep quite. "Did u hear it?"

"Hear what?" Rk asks. Madhu roles her eyes & pulls Rk close to the window of the room besides their room.

"Daddyji is singing" Madhu grins excitedly & keeps her ear close to the window to hear clearly what he was singing.

"Hey, eavesdropping is wrong" Rk says to madhu.

"C'mon, Doctor, its all fun" Madhu replies & went back to pay her attention on hearing.

"Okay, as madam says" Mohan replies & thinks for what song to sing.

Mohan awfully sings the same line again & again.

"Chup!! Chup!! what will others think if they hear u sing at this age?" Radha chides.

"What is the connection between age & singing? Is there any role that above 50's are not allowed to sing? Yesterday in sangeet function u can dance like a young women with ur beti & bahu's but I should not sing in private?" Mohan asks her irately.

"That's because when "Radha on the dance floor!! radha likes to party!! radha likes to move the sexy rather body" Radha replies to him by singing the song. "Even Mohan likes to sing" he replies & both starts laughing unknowing that their romance where secretly heard by two souls from outside the room.

"Hey, control. Lets not embarrass them by letting know that we were hearing them" Rk says to control madhu when she burst laughing continuously.

"Oh my god! Daddyji & mummyji are one adorable couple. They proved that love & romance never dies at any age" Madhu says still giggling like a school girl.

"Try to learn how to be romantic from daddyji, doctor" She suggests.

"Gosh!! u r insatiable, madhu. U want me to be more romantic?"

"See, how daddyji is singing for mummyji but u didn't even compliment me about how I look?" she pouts. He chuckles.

"I only selected this red lenga & jewels for u & while choosing itself I said u will look beautiful then why should I repeat the same"

"okay. We will go" She says & drags him down the stairs.

"My Bhai is so lucky to have Trishna as his life partner." Madhu says happily encircling her hand with Rk's & they throw flowers on Mukund & Trish when they exchange garland.

"Not only ur bhai is lucky but Trishna's bhai is also lucky" Rk winks. She turns & looks up at him confused for a moment not getting what he actually meant & then she blushes after realizations dawns.

"Mukkund is telling something to trishna...is he saying 'I love u' like I said to u while putting sindoor on ur head?" Rk asks madhu while Mukkund ties the mangalsutr around trishna's neck & put a pinch of vermillion on her partition whispering something in her hear.

"D'oh, he is not so like my doctor to say something romantic & promising at this precious moment instead he will be asking 'when will all the rituals will end, i'm so hungry, I want to eat trish'" Madhu mimics what mukkund could have told to trishna.

"See, trishna is his poking him so definitely he would have said the same" Madhu says proudly. Rk chuckles

"ur bhai nah...so he will be like u only...Foodie!!" Rk teases her.

"Hey, why are u crying?" Rk asks concerned seeing tears in madhu's eyes.

"Oh damn! This khushi ki aansoo" she says & wipes her tears & replies "Finally my mama got a daughter to replace my place"

"Hey, my sister is not a shaitan like u"

"Did u said i'm a shaitan?" madhu asks angrily keeping her hands on her hips.

"I didn't say so, u only told me the other day that ur mama called u shaitan & u even asked me whether i'm happy with her shaitan beti? Remember?" he asks her & she silently sheds tears.

"Band karo yeh khushi ki aansoo, madhu...if anyone see u like this then they will think i'm making my pregnant biwi cry" he says & quickly wipes her tears & she swats his hand away.

"Now, its not happy tears, its sad tears, my husband also thinks i'm a shaitan" she puts her head on her palm & sobs.

"Madhu, if u cry like this then u won't look good in photos" He uses the secret weapon to stop her from crying.

"Oh No. Thanks. I will go wipe my face & put some make up & come" she says & was about to turn but he stops her in place & takes his silk kerchief & wipes her tear stained face & her smudged eyes.

"Perfect" he says huskily making her blush.

"Congrats bhai, finally someone has come to set u straight" Madhu says playfully & hugs her bhai & Rk hugs his sister.

Then Mukkund & trishna took blessing from elders & after having their dinner & completing the remaining rituals all dispersed to their respective rooms.

Next day Rk & madhu returned to Delhi though their families insisted them to stay for few more days but Rk excused them saying he couldn't take anymore leaves & also madhu has her check up in two days so she should be there as her reports were kept in Delhi. Finally they all agreed with them & radha & padmini had packed so many varieties of pickles, snacks & few more masala's for madhu's convenience.

Rk was sitting on the couch & working on his laptop, sipping his coffee while madku was cooking something for dinner in her kitchen.

"Pabho, u clean the dishes for now & after our dinner I'll do the remaining plates." Madhu says. Pabho nods.

"Doctor, dinner is ready" Madhu informs Rk & sat next to him in the couch.

"You have madhu. I'll will eat later after finishing this work." He replies not taking his eyes from the laptop screen.

"I'll wait...we will eat together" She says & takes the tv remote to watch something to pass her time.

"Then give me 10 minutes, baby"

"Hmm..." she hums & starts flipping the channels as nothing was interesting going on. Suddenly she stops on one channels & starts laughing.

"What?" He asks her confused seeing her sudden laughter.

"That song...daddyji was singing on that day to mummyji..." She replies still laughing. Rk smiles seeing her laugh happily.

"U also sing a song for me" She insists.

"I don't know to sing & right now i'm working so don't disturb me & reduce the tv volume & watch" He says & turns to work & she stares at him pissed.

"Hence proved U R UNROMANTIC" she growls & switches off the TV & takes her phone to check the mails. He looks at her & shakes his head & proceeds with his work without uttering a word.

"Oh wow, Wedding photos have come. Did u checked it, doctor" Madhu asks.

"No"

"Aww...Bhai & trish are looking fab"

"Hmm..." he hums.

"Look at this" she thrusts the phone at him.

"nice" he says glancing it once but she doubts whether he saw the pic or not.

"I thought u came home early to spend some quality time with me but from the moment u entered in u are stuck with this damned laptop" she mutters irately.

"Madhu..." She cuts him off saying "I'm bored..."

"Sorry, but I will come back to u after finishing this presentation"

"Whole day i'm sitting ideal at home. Its too boring" she pouts.

"Don't tell u wanna starts working again" he says shocked

"No, not that" she shakes her head in negation.

"Then?" He asks her confused wondering what she is up to?

"Get me a puppy for company, at least i'll spend my pass time with it"

"What? No pets at our home" He says instantly.

"Why not?" she asks. He turns to her & suddenly catches pabho staring at them from kitchen so he looks at her doubtfully but she quickly turns away then he ignores it thinking overhearing is her usual habit as he had often noticed her staring them & asks madhu "who will handle the dog like bathing, cleaning, feeding & taking for walk & all?"

"I will take care of it. U don't have to worry" Madhu replies.

"First u take care of yourself then think about handling other living creature"

"I don't have anyone to talk"

"As far as I know no dogs will talk with u in ur language. Do u know dogs barking language biwi? U didn't tell me?" he teases her.

"Don't tease me when i'm mad then I will show u that I know dogs bite too" She warns. He chuckles.

"U can watch TV or video chat with our family, madhu" he gently suggests her.

"That's what i'm doing till now...but now I want to do something, i love pets, doctor" she pleads.

"Look madhu, firstly, we are in apartments so other flat members may object it & secondly, soon we are going to have a baby & I want the environment sterile so that I can keep u & baby away from germs & infections. So No PETS!! Got it?" he politely reasons her.

"Okay, I don't want any pets..." he sighs in relief "but let me name our baby" She offers.

"What? From where did this topic come from? No way i'll let u name our baby...hmm, may be we both decide one nice name together." He says reasonably.

"No. i'll choose the name" she says stubbornly.

"U don't play fair. Okay, i'll give u one last option, if its a baby girl then I'll name her & if its a baby boy u'll name him...deal?" he asks.

"On one condition" she says

"What?"

"Tomorrow while we go for my scan, the moment u find out baby's sex u should tell me so that I can think of names for my baby boy, if it is a boy, okay?"

"Smart, biwi. I never expected that u'll bring our conversation here. U want me to tell the baby's sex?" He rubs his forehead not knowing how to escape from her demand or he should give in to her.

"Please" she pleads. That's enough for him to melt.

"U r a manipulator, biwi. Okay fine. I'll tell" he breathes.

"Thank u!! thank u!! thank u" She says excitedly & hugs him sideways & kisses him on his cheeks.

"Can I work now?" he asks her smiling.

"of course u can, doctor but only 10 more minutes. By then i'll set up the dinner table" she says & was about to make a move but Rk stops her.

"I want to tell you one more thing" He says.

"What?" She asks giving full attention to him.

"I have a conference to attend on friday. For that only i'm preparing this presentation" he says holding her hands gently squeezing it.

"Oh"

"hmm...the conference is in Chennai so I have to leave, my flight is at tomorrow night & i'll return on saturday morning...will u stay alone?" he asks her worriedly.

"Um...I...Rishab" she stammers.

"Madhu, if I knew earlier about this meeting then I would have asked u to stay in Mumbai itself & brought u back once I finished my work but only today morning I got the news...sorry"

"Oh don't say sorry, doctor. Um..can I come along with u?" She asks.

"Madhu only yesterday we came from Mumbai & again tomorrow...up & down travel is not good for ur health baby. Its just a day & two nights so can u manage? Or u want my dad or ur papa to stay with u? If u so i'll ask them to come" He asks.

"No. No need, Rishab. I can manage"she smiles to make him comfortable.

"Thanks, madhu" He caresses her cheeks & presses a kiss on her forehead.

"Dinner?" She asks.

"Yeah, sure. I'll shut down the laptop & come." he smiles. She nods & walks in to the kitchen.

"Pabho, u are done with ur work?" Madhu asks paboo. She nods.

"Then u may leave now & tomorrow don't come at the morning we are going out so come by evening to wash cloths & other stuffs" She says smilingly. Pabho nods & walks out all the while staring at Rk.

"Tell me?" Madhu asks excitedly as soon as they enter into Rk cabin

"Ur health condition is good but ur weight have slightly reduced" Rk tells her.

"I like being slim" she grins.

"Not at this time. U need to gain weight madhu, please eat well mainly fruits & vegetables" he admonishes

"Okay, i'll do that. U just tell me the baby's sex. I'm waiting" she insists.

"I need to read ur scan report first. Patience, Biwi" he smiles seeing her eagerness.

A lab assistant enters his room & says "Dr.Kundra, there is a technical defect so scan report will be ready by this evening or by tomorrow morning"

"Miss. Kathie, let me know when the reports are ready" Rk tells her politely. She nods & walks out.

"Sorry. U have to wait a little more" he says. She sighs sadly.

"I'll pack, biwi. U sit." he tells her & walks to his wardrobe to take his formal suit but before he could reach madhu bring it for him.

"I'm helping u" She replies & passes the suit to him so that he could dump in his case.

"Thanks. But u resting will be the major help for me" he says. She rolls her eyes but obliges & sat on the bed inspecting what all he kept in & what he should add more.

"Finished." He says.

"Ur laptop back & phone charger." she reminds him.

"Oh yeah. Thanks" he says & collects his chargers & puts it in his laptop back itself.

"Don't u think its so early to leave for the airport?" she asks hoping to stay some more time with him.

"No. I have to collect some papers from the hospital heads before leaving" he tells. She nods.

"Madhu, I have kept ur medicines in the side table. Do take it on time & i'll call u & remind u" she nods.

"Lock the door & stay save, baby" she nods looking down at her knotted fingers.

"Look at me, madhu"

"if I look at u then i'll start crying & I dont want to do that" She replies turning her face & blinking her eyes to stop the tears threaten to flow.

"I can't go if u didn't send me off with ur smile" he says. She quickly hugs him.

"Rishab, can I come with u till the airport?" She asks hugging him.

"Madhu, i'm not straightly heading to airport besides I don't want u to strain yourself & want u to stay home safe" he pats her head gently.

"Okay" she says & steps back. "Bye" he says. She waves her hand & when the elevator door shuts, she sadly turns & walks in & locks the door. A minutes later she hears a knock & rushes to the door to open.

"Rishab?" She smiles seeing him back.

"I forgot something" He says.

"Wha.." before she could complete the word he slams his lips on her & kisses her passionately & she kisses him back back with equal vigor. Then he breaks the kiss & hugs her holding her in his arms for a minute & part away later.

"Bye, Baby" he gently taps her cheek with his knuckles.

"Bye, doctor" she smiles. & then he is gone.

Sometimes later madhu was watching TV in loud volume in order to keep the room filled with noise so that she won't feel alone though phabho was there doing her work in kitchen, she was not interested to talk with her. Her thoughts where filled with Rk, whether he boarded the flight or not, whether to call him once before he board or not & that's when she hears her door bell ring.

"Rishab" She mutters his name & quickly stood on her heels & walks towards the door excitedly & opens it & says "YOU?"
