First of all a big sorry for making you people wait for a very long time. Sorry yar i got struck with my office work and few exams and many such things. I took some time for the updates and now I am updating and i hope you people like my work and i believe you people still love me like you people used to even after me breaking my promise "updating in a week". i dedicate this update to all my friends who like and comment my work.

CHAPTER - 31

7 months later

The relation between Trishna and Sikki bonded stronger and in order to make their relation even stronger a new member also will be joining soon in their life in another 3 months. Initially when Trishna dropped the news Maasi was ecstatic. She was dancing with joy. She requested Trishna to drop her job which Trishna reluctantly agreed. Maasi now keeps track of every movement of Trishna and she used to make sure Sikki take her for the regular check-ups.

Every night when RK comes to check Maasi she asks him about marriage and what he thinks about Madhu.

RK's attitude towards Madhu changed slowly as he saw the way she was managing both house and office. In the morning before going to office she made sure whether Maasi has all the things and she instructed Patil to take special care of Maasi. Hell to top it all she knew the medicines that Maasi takes and RK even didn't know that. He started seeing Madhu in a new light. On the other hand Madhu made sure that she doesn't step into RK. The office matters like the important files or the ppt cds she used to ask someone to give to RK. In short RK didn't see her for the past 7 months. Well he started missing her the most. Whenever he went to meet her she will not be there. The only time he sees her is during breakfast and dinner.

Something that changed in RK's life was the bonding between him and Santhosh. Now RK made sure Santhosh gets all the things. He made sure the drivers drop him to School. Madhu initially objected it but seeing RK's stubbornness she agreed. He visits Santhosh regularly. Well the main purpose of visiting Santhosh is to get a glance of Madhu but hard luck he never sees her.

One night while he visits Maasi's room

RK (as usual asks Maasi): "Have you seen Madhu?"

Maasi (replies): "Yes just now she was here"

RK to himself: "Everyday she makes sure she visits Maasi before me."

Maasi: "So Rishu what have you thought about Madhu?"

RK: "Maasi for the past 7 months everyday you are asking the same question"

Maasi: "Like every day you will be saying I will think about it"

RK: "I will talk to Madhu about this."

Maasi(overjoyed): "Means you... Agreeing for this marriage"

RK: "How come is that possible when my Maasi asks me something and I deny it"

Maasi: "The irony is not lost in you rite and wait I will talk to her tomorrow"

RK: "Maasi I need to talk to her"

Maasi: "About?"

RK(Sighing heavily) : "My past"

Maasi: "It's a closed chapter"

RK: "Madhu should know that before marriage and I will tell her about Shwetha"

Maasi: "What she will..?"

RK: "Maasi I know about Madhu. She will accept it"

Maasi(finally giving up): "I hope you doesn't screw it up"

RK: "Maasi I really think you should sleep now"

Maasi: "Good night Rishu"

RK: "Good night Maasi"

The more RK was determined the more Maasi was scared. She knew Madhu is matured girl and she will accept it but she doesn't want Shwetha in between their love story. For Maasi Shwetha was the worst part in RK's life. She always wished RK had a better girl than Shwetha and now she was really happy to have Madhu in RK's life.

RK on the other hand was nervous. He very boldly told Maasi he will talk to her about his past but the trouble comes when he tries to talk to her. The first time he went to meet her in the pretext of the missing file which she told today morning only she kept the file on the table. Every time he tries to talk to her she excuses herself in one text or other. Today he is determined so he went to the outhouse. He was standing near the door. He rehearsed himself multiple times before reaching her outhouse. He reached for the bell.

RK to himself: "If she asks you why you are here what will you say?... Think RK think... I will say Maasi was thinking about you... that's good idea... what good idea she will ask Maasi was thinking about me. How did you know?' then what will I say I came here for meeting Santhosh'... that sounds good... Ya and she will say Santhosh is still in your room' What RK why are you scared just say I came here for meeting you. That's it...yes... That's RK..."

RK knocked the outhouse. After 5 minutes the door was opened. He saw Madhu after 7 months...well he missed her a lot... This time it was different... he feels different...

Madhu: "I know Chief"

RK(Shocked): "You know...(to himself) Maasi might have warned her. Still I have to tell her. (to madhu) Madhu.."

Madhu: "Don't worry Chief I will get ready and we can leave for tomorrow."

RK: "Leave for tomorrow?"

Madhu: "Ya Chief Bittuji called me just 10 minutes before. He told about going to Dubai. Initially it was you and Sikki who was supposed to go but now Trishna is pregnant and in this situation Sikki won't want to come with you. Don't worry Chief I was in the preparation only and I will get that done by tomorrow."

RK to himself: "What is all happening? I didn't know about this. Wait... my mobile(he took his mobile to see 50 missed calls 20 from Bittu and 30 from Sikki)(to Madhu he manages with a smile) Yes this is the matter."

RK: "Madhu if you don't mind shall I also join in the preparation."

Madhu: "Sure Chief"

They finished all the contracts within 3 hrs and after bidding farewell they went back to bed. RK reached his room to find Sikki sitting on his bed.

Sikki(running towards RK and hugging him): "Bhai, I am so happy for you. (Seeing his stunned expression) Maasi told me about your decision and did you tell Madhu?"

RK: "No tomorrow we have to leave to Dubai"

Sikki: "Yes Bhai. I was calling you for informing that and when you didn't pick my call I went to Maasi when she broke the news."

RK: "Nothing happened Sikki still she is distant."

Sikki: "Bhai you just tell her how you feel then lets wait for her decision"

Just then they heard Trishna Shouting "Maasi...Maasi"

Both of them ran to her room to see Maasi lying unconsciously on the floor. She was immediately taken to hospital. Madhu also joined them. All were in tension when Doctor came and told them she had an attack. The doctors inform not to worry as this is just a minor attack and she is normal now and they can go and meet her.

All the 4 went into the room. Maasi for the first time in her life was worried. She was never like this. She seems aged beyond her years. Even after that she maintained a I-am-ok face. She convinced Trishna and Sikki to go home as Trishna required rest. She even asked Madhu to go home but she refused and she politely told Maasi she is not going anywhere. So RK and Madhu took turns to look after Maasi. Maasi called both RK and Madhu inside her room.

Maasi: "I know something happened besides you. What happened?"

Madhu: "Maasi you are imagining things. We are absolutely fine."

RK: "Yes Maasi"

Maasi: "Don't lie to me. I am Maasi and I bypassed your age and I understand you."

Madhu: "Maasi nothing like that..."

Maasi: "Whatever be the thing please sort that out between you people and I have one last wish which you guys need to fulfill."

Madhu: "Maasi..."

Maasi: "Madhu let me finish it."

RK: "But Maasi we can have this later also. Now I want you to rest."

Maasi: "Rishu.. Madhu.. I don't have time."

RK & Madhu : "Maasi"

Maasi(held her hand to say stop): "RK I have one last wish which only you can fulfill."

RK: "Tell me Maasi"

Maasi: "I want you to see you married before I breathe my last"

RK: "Maasi.."

Maasi: "I know you have issues but this is my last wish"

Maasi(turning to Madhu): "Madhu I have one more wish."

Madhu: "Tell me Maasi"

Maasi: "Promise me you will fulfill it(she extended her hands)"

Madhu(keeping her hands above Maasi's): "Promise Maasi"

Maasi: "Please will you marry my son Rishu?"

Madhu: "But Maasi"

Maasi: "Please Madhu don't say no. We can have the marriage after you return from Dubai"

Madhu: "Maasi..."

Maasi: "Please don't say no Madhu"

Immediately she was having trouble in breathing.

Maasi: "P...Pro...Promise me Madhu"

Madhu: "I promise Maasi. After we return from Dubai we will marry."

RK was too shocked to say anything and he saw immediately she was in the hands of doctor.

Both RK and Madhu came out of the emergency ward.

Madhu: "I know what you are thinking and I know you don't like me. But I am doing this for Maasi."

RK: "Madhu..."

Madhu: "I promise I wont interfere in your life. You can live your life as you wish."

Saying that she left the place leaving behind a stunned RK.

RK: "Madhu.. I was like that before meeting you but now without you I cant live my life. I will tell you about my past and my feelings to you tomorrow. Tomorrow a new chapter of our life begins and I promise no one can come in between us."
